III: Three's a Crowd
Third POV
Laying besides Kaminari, Katsuki took periodic sips of his white champagne, not intentionally but zoning out while everyone chatted.
Maybe It was the introverted side of him, but he didn't understand the hype around constantly gossiping or whatever it was Kaminari and his friends had in common.
And on the looks of Todoroki's face, it was clear neither was he.
Besides, he was a little preoccupied from earlier.
"Anyone up for swimming?" Kirishima stood up, letting go of Mina's legs that he had been massaging on his lap for the past few minutes.
Katsuki stood up as well, "I'll go."
Todoroki decided to stay, finding himself becoming way too comfortable as Sero drew circles on his back.
The ocean breeze felt oddly refreshing, as Kirishima walked to the shoreline, allowing his toes to his ankles to splashed with seawater.
He trudged even further, Katsuki following behind him but he started to scan the beach for that mysterious person.
Some part of him really wanted to find them.
Weird enough to admit our loud, but Katsuki was almost positive he recognized that partly unclothed body.
And that child...
There.
Spotting them a bit further out in the water, Izuku used his robe to tie the year old pup on his back before gently dipping into the slightly deeper parts of the water, acting as a human raft.
And in that split second of him noticing the dam again.
They made eye contact.
He wasn't sure what face he could've been making but the look on the dam's face ran cold immediately.
Almost as if he'd seen a ghost.
Katsuki knew he could be intimidating but that was just odd.
Quickly Katsuki exited the water, just as fast as the dam had, not sure what reason they had to look at him like that for.
Maybe it was the small but still numerous tattoos on his body or maybe it's cause he had a naturally mean (?) looking face.
Either way it was odd.
He watched how the dam untied the makeshift swaddle and shifted the pup so they would be facing the dam's chest, hurrying back to their stuff.
No.
They were leaving...
Because of him?
It might not have been the time, but Katsuki couldn't help but notice how the person's ass seemed to jiggle with each step.
"Bro, you good?" Kirishima questioned, slicking his wet hair back and out of his face.
Katsuki didn't respond, but his legs started moving in the direction of the dam.
"Wait!" Katsuki's mouth blurted in the opposite direction, as Kirishima's brows furrowed.
Who was he calling to?
Izuku stopped in his tracks, keeping little Shimizu close as he began to messily fold the towel and shove it into the bag.
Just as he was about to stand up, Katsuki grabbed his shoulder, making Izuku freeze dead in his tracks.
Katsuki could feel Izuku stiffen up in his grasp.
Shit.
He didn't even think about what he'd say.
It wasn't like Katsuki could tell the speculated single dam that he recognized their body from somewhere.
That'd just be rude and honestly kinda creepy.
"Excuse me..," Izuku whispered, "C-can you let go of me, please?"
Keeping his head bowed as he slowly stood up.
Katsuki let go, as the person didn't look back at him.
"I'm really sorry, but I have to go now." Picking up the bag and heaving it over their shoulder as a weak 'sorry' escaped Katsuki's lips.
Only catching a glimpse of the name card.
'Midoriya'
He'd have to remember that for later.
He zoned back in again, and this time the mysterious person was speed walking away.
He stared at this Midoriya person until they headed up the staircase and up to the parking lot before the finally disappeared from his sightline.
A breeze whipped as Katsuki raked his hair, wracking his thoughts to figure out who that was.
He got a good glimpse of the omega but it wasn't enough; it was already beginning to slip from memory.
A tap on his shoulder made him look back, where Kaminari stood inches away from him with his arms folded and a blank look on his face.
The others merely stood by the canopy opening, wonder what could possibly be going onto between the supposed lovebirds.
"What was that all about?" Kaminari's brow twitched, his tone calm but his eyes displayed something else.
Something a bit more accusatory.
Katsuki shook his head, "I thought I recognized him is all."
But the blond haired omega still didn't budge or change facial expression.
To divert the situation, Katsuki picked up Kaminari bridal style and sped walked back to the water, ignoring the protest the other blond gave him.
A sharp shriek followed with an outburst of katsuki's name; Kaminari couldn't help but giggle, as the man tossed him into the water.
Not unscathed though as Kaminari tugged Katsuki in with him.
Allowing the beach waves to rush over their bodies, Katsuki held Kaminari close, repeating from earlier that it was nothing.
A faint blush was on Kaminari's complexion as he nodded along, gently sprinkling water droplets on Katsuki's toned abdomen.
Some beach day this was.
The others got into the water as well, now that the sun had set and the sea was the perfect temperature.
The hues of a vibrant magenta yet gentle baby pink painted the sky above, the sun's radiance still glowing even though it's time to shine was almost over.
Meanwhile, with its distance increasing further from the Nichibotsu beach's parking lot, shaky freckled hands struggled to stay in one lane.
Izuku's only thought was that they had to get out of here.
His eyes would occasionally take glances in his rearview mirror to see if anyone had been following him before shifting to Shimizu whose emerald green irises stared outside with a star struck gaze at the sunset.
A whole month into being back to japan and he already screwed up.
'That was Katsuki! That had to have been..' Izuku repeated over and over in his mind.
It was one night.
It was dark and the sound of the music drowned them out.
Izuku remembered him out of all his customers.
His eyes glanced one more time at Shimizu whose little head had fallen back onto the head rest of her car seat, her eyes slowly drooping.
Then his mind flickered back to the blond that stood behind Katsuki.
