Daryl Dixon

Frost was sat in a chair, covered in his own blood due to being tortured. He screamed in pain as Carver tore his fingernail. "this bother you?" Pope asked.

"i've done worse." I looked at him.

"why don't you take a turn, then?" Pope looked back at Frost and Carver.

"i'm up." I walked in, looking at Carver.

"like hell you are." Carver tossed a cloth onto the floor. I stood there looking at Frost as he continued breathing heavy. His face was covered in blood, same with his hands and arms. His left eye was swollen shut as he tried to look up at me.

I quickly put him in a chokehold, squeezing tightly as i heard him gasp for air.

"don't need a babysitter." I said releasing myself and walking back in front of frost.

"just give 'em a location, where your friends are hiding. You do that, this all goes away." I looked at Frost.

"that's uh.. a good offer. Or you all could eat shit instead." Frost breathed out.

I quickly punched him square in the jaw, causing him to cough out some blood.

"maybe we start taking pieces." Carver suggested to Pope.

"give him a knife." Pope said.

I took my vest off, throwing it onto the ground before walking to Leah as she handed me my knife. I walked back over to frost, positioning the knife comfortably in my hand.

"i don't think you understand. I'm the best shot you got." I looked at him.

"why, we friends now?" Frost asked.

"no. Cause i'm the one holding the knife." I huffed.

"yeah? and your buddy's the one holding the gun." Frost looked over.

"i know you're close to her. The leader. Close enough to know where they're hidin'" I said placing my knife on his finger.

"go to hell ass-." Frost began screaming in pain as his finger hit the floor.

"location or i take anotha!" I yelled.

"i can't." Frost cried out.

"location!" I yelled

"yellow house... town of.. off the 283 Antenna." Frost began whimpering.

"is that good enough?" I asked pope.

"three of you, see if our friend speaks truth." Pope looked back at Frost.

"you want us to take him?" Carver pointed at me before walking out. Pope wanted us to head out, to look for the woman and the others. I knew exactly who they were talking about. Maggie.

Pope insisted i go with them, but without any of my weapons. I didn't like the idea of it, but at least i'd be able to warn my people. We set out early in the morning, giving us plenty of time to search around for them before nightfall hit.

We were catchin' up to them. My people, but i couldn't let that happen. The group walked ahead of me, i knew Maggie was in the house they were staring at. Thinkin' of something fast i pull on the electrical line, causing it to sway.

Carver burst through the door just moments later, pointing his gun as he looked around. "Clear!" A man yelled.

"we should stay, look around. Make sure we didn't miss anything." I stood next to them.

I walked around the house, checking for any clues, any tracks. Anything at all that shows where they went or if they're still here.

"clear." I yelled as i walked back downstairs, seeing there was an opening in the floor. A cellar. That's where they must be hiding.

I walked over, scooting the rug over so it couldn't be seen. "i could track em" I looked to Carver and Leah.

"you in a hurry to leave?" Carver asked.

"what?" I looked confused.

"other building, you wanted to stick around. Now you wanna run right off. Which is it?" Carver asked annoyed.

"i'm jus trying to help." I looked at him.

"i don't have time for this toddler bullshit. I understand, but i don't need it." Shaw joined.

"don't." Leah looked at me.

"don't what?" I asked as i paced.

"you're either with us or you're not." Leah stated. Leah's footsteps began pattering as she walked off. I continued looking around, making it seem real that i was doin something.

I couldn't let them find my family.

I made my way back to the same rug from before, seeing as Carver made his way back down the stairs. I needed to get everyone to leave this house.

"They ran, they ain't comin' back here." I said.

"what?" Carver approached me.

"think about it. You hit 'em hard. Even if they get more people, they won't come back here. It's a bad move." I looked at Carver.

He stood there staring at me intensely. As if he was listening, but not really caring about what i had to say.

"You got, what 20 people in your town? You got weapons, you got walls. You'd see them coming from a mile away. Trust me. They ran." I said giving my people information without making it obvious to Carver.

"let's go. There's nothing here. time to move on." Leah walked back over.

"no, we're missing something." Carver looked around.

"fine let's waste another hour." I paced.

"daryl." Leah looked at me.

"it's not my fault he's too stupid to pay attention." I raised my arm to point.

"Jesus, shaw." Carver huffed.

"if you think this guy is ever gonna give a shit about us, you're gonna fail." Carver stood there.

"he's right. I don't give a shit about any of you. Except you. I'm here for you. It's no secret, i made mistakes, But i'm here right now. Maybe i'd be better at it this time, if you'd let me." I stood there looking at Leah.

Nobody spoke up or made a sound. They both just stood there, staring at me.

"and pope scares the shit outta me. I don't wanna be face-first in the fire under his boot. If you say trust 'em. I'll trust 'em." I continued to look at her.

"you're not seriously gonna-" Carver spoke up.

"it's time to move on." Leah looked at him.

"hold on." Carver looked down at the floor.

He shoved me out of the way, pulling the rug up and opening the cellar, pointing his gun. I pulled my knife out since that was the only weapon i was allowed to have.

Carver looked around, not seeing anyone.

"told ya." I paced.

It was dark by the time we made it back into town, Carver walking toward Pope. "they were there, Caught signs but they slipped away." Carver explained.

Pope began laughing, everyone being confused, thinking the man would be disappointed.

"this day was a success." Pope chuckled.

"how so?" Leah asked.

"i had a discussion with our guest. He wasn't too talkative, but i got what i needed to know." Pope said looking at me.

I knew he was talking about Frost, and that this couldn't mean anything good.
