The day was already off to a horrible start. You had woken up late and missed a bit of training which Taila wasn't pleased about, and because you missed a few minutes of training, she made train for another hour. You were pretty tired by the end of it and planned on taking a nap after it. You only got thirty minutes into that nap when Iris burst into your room telling you that you had to get up because the twins were causing trouble again.
That leads to the present, where you all were being chased by the twins. You were on a cliff and nearing the edge. You panicked but jumped and Taila created a crystal that caught you and slid you down to the ground to continue running.
It felt as if Mephisto was targeting you as green crystals repeatedly tried to block your path. This didn't hinder your sprint as you dodged everything thrown at you. You attempted to fire crystals back at them but you missed as you had to focus on escaping.
You could hear something big coming from behind you and you looked back, to your shock a giant purple mass of magic was headed straight toward you and the girls. Auriana who was already looking at the magic summoned a shield and when you saw her do that you summoned a shield too creating a half-yellow and half-indigo crystal.
You two were bracing for impact but it never came as the twins made the spell fly over your shield and head for Iris and Taila who were still running.
"Iris, Taila, look out!" you and Auriana screamed.
They both looked back, Iris kept on running but Taila turned around taking something out of her jacket, "By the power of Izira!" she yelled holding out the circular object.
From the object came a blue beam of light that disintegrated the purple magic coming their way, the spell was almost as big as the crystal Luxtra spell and the power coming from it was slightly pushing you back.
Dust caused by the magic was still settling but you could make out the faint outline of Auriana stuck in a tree, Iris getting up, and Taila rubbing her head as she sat on the ground.
"Woah, high volume much," Iris commented.
"Ow, my ears! This is worse than that night we opened for that speed metal band," Auriana was lightly rubbing her ears.
"That was amazing Taila, I have never seen something so bright and glittery, and wow I really can't hear a single thing right now," Auriana's compliment trails off.
"It was amazing and pretty powerful," you add in.
"That was close, too close," Taila ignores everything you three said.
"Luckily for us, you were there. But what was that Taila, was it a new spell?" Iris asks.
"Uh, nothing, it was nothing. We should rehearse we have a show this weekend." Taila stammers before walking away to hop on Amaru.
"Is it just me, or is Taila acting a little weird, I mean you two saw that right?" Iris looks back at the both of you.
You nod but Auriana looks off as if she hadn't heard what Iris said.
"Auriana? Auriana?" Iris repeats louder with her eyebrows furrowed.
"Are you talking to me? Your lips are moving but no words are coming out of your mouth" Auriana slightly yells to hear herself talk.
You and Iris sigh before joining Taila on Amaru.
You got home and changed so you could comfortably watch the girls rehearse.
Iris was calling out what they had to do but Auriana did it late, "Auriana how are your ears, are they any better?" Iris yelled making Auriana cover her ears. "They were, until you started to yell into them," Auriana uncovers her ears but gasps, "What if-" Auriana gets interrupted. "Auriana, your what-if's get me nervous," Taila grabs her water bottle as you were handing her as you nod in agreement. "I know, I know, but my mind keeps going back to that spell, by the power of Izira, I've never heard of it," Auriana says. "And what was that you pulled out of your pocket, some kind of crystal charm?" Iris asks. "Ooh jewelry, and it's a secret, isn't it? Maybe a secret present from a secret admirer" Auriana asks with a grin on her face.
"Give it a rest girls, it's just something I've been fooling around with, that's all," Taila waves her hand to dismiss your questions.
"But that is clearly some powerful magic, there must be some reason you've never mentioned it to us before," Iris had a good point.
"I was going to tell you about the medallion," Taila pauses, "It's just, I'm not sure I can control it, I shouldn't have the thing," Taila admits.
"That's why it's so important to keep it a secret," Auriana asks.
"Why shouldn't you have it Taila, where did the medallion even come from?" you ask, curious.
"It came from her secret boyfriend," Auriana says in a sing-song voice.
"And how do you know you can't control it?" Iris adds to your question.
"Because it isn't mine!" Taila throws the water bottle to the wall in a fit of rage, which was understandable, you all were pestering her with questions. "The medallion isn't mine," Taila sits on the couch with her hands on her face as she tears up. She tries reaching for the medallion in her jacket but she doesn't find it, "It's gone," she looks up at you three. "It must have fallen when you cast that spell," Iris says. "If it got caught up in that spell that blast wave that hit Praxina and Mephisto," Auriana looks at you and Iris. "The mountain," Taila gasps.
You all were on Amaru as he flew you to the mountains in the rain to search for the medallion. Amaru hovered off the ground as you and the girls jumped off.
"I need to find that medallion," Taila briefly looks back at you guys before walking off to look for it.
You summoned a crystal to somewhat shield you from the rain and Auriana creates one too and holds it over Iris so the rain doesn't drench her.
"Why's that medallion so important to her, and why did she feel the need to hide it from us?" you ask Iris and Auriana even though you knew they didn't know. "She's just worried that her super secret millionaire boyfriend will be mad that she lost his present," Auriana answers still believing Taila has a boyfriend she wasn't telling us about.
"I don't have a secret boyfriend!" Taila yells in response to Auriana. "I don't have a kingdom, I don't have a family! It's gone, it's all gone and it's all my fault, I've lost everything." Taila falls to her knees crying.
You and Iris walk over to her, you kneel beside her and give her a side hug as Iris puts her hand on Talia's shoulder. "But you have us," Iris gently comforts Taila. The three of you stand up together as Auriana, who's holding Amaru, walks over. "The medallion, it belonged to my sister," Taila reveals tearfully. "Your sister? You never told us anything about your family," Iris says.
"To be honest I always imagined you were raised by a pack of wolves or a robot-" Auriana starts but you cut her off by coughing and using your hand to signal to her to stop. "Oh sorry, anyways your sister?" Auriana softly says.
"She was the good one, the strong one, the responsible one," Taila looks away. "That's hard to believe, you're the strongest most responsible I know," Iris says. "I try, if only you could see her, if you could've seen me back then," Taila responds.
She went on to explain how that one night she wanted to sneak out to go to a festival but her sister caught her, after a small conversation her sister gave Taila her medallion and told her she could give it back tomorrow and they would start to train more seriously. Taila went to the festival without knowing that the kingdom was getting attacked and that her sister was defending it. She came back to her kingdom to see the palace in flames and she ran toward it to find her sister. She was looking around when she heard Gramorr talking to Banes, his pet. She hid and after that day vowed to become more disciplined like her sister. That was her motivation to volunteer to find Iris and defeat Gramorr.
"That was your sister's magical gem, to help her transform?" Iris asks.
"Yes, without it, her power was greatly weakened, it was why my family was defeated by Gramorr," Talia says.
"What happened to them?" you ask. "I don't know, they could be anywhere, the medallion is the only thing that could've led me to them," Taila says.
"Then we have to get it back!" Iris says. "I'm moved that you care so much but-" Taila got interrupted by Iris. "Taila, we care because we're your family too," Iris says and you nod with a smile. "Yeah, I've got thirty-two sisters but I like you more than any of them, they borrow my clothes and stretch them way out," Auriana whispers as if they could hear her.
"Thank you," Taila sincerely says.
"So how about we cast a spell to find that medallion," Iris suggests. "I think this calls for a little crystal tracking spell," Auriana adds.
You follow the spell and find Praxina and Mephisto with the medallion. "We could use this to defeat the princesses," Praxina holds the medallion.
"Or you could give it to us and not get a crystal smackdown," Iris crosses her arms, "No? Suit yourself," Iris finishes.
You three transform and Taila starts off by sporting crystals from the ground that force the twins to fly up onto a ledge. "Looking for this, Taila?" Mephisto holds up the medallion and Taila just groans.
Angered, Taila summons her staff while creating a crystal on the edge of it to make it a makeshift spear and runs up the crystals she already made before summoning more to run up toward Mephisto. You, Auriana and Iris follow her getting ready to battle. "If you like having fingers you will give that back to me!" Taila yells.
"Ooh, a threat, What's so special about this? Sentimental value?" Mephisto asks. "Give it back," Taila creates more crystals to run up to him and starts attacking him with her staff-turned-spear.
"Missed me," Praxina flies beside Mephisto and whispers something to him making you suspicious. "Why don't you taunt her!" Mephisto yells, as he was distracted you chuck a small crystal at his hand where the medallion was. It hits and he drops the medallion and you catch it. "Looking for this? Sorry," Taila runs toward you and you hand her the medallion.
Praxina says something to Mephisto and then they start firing at you but Auriana shields you and you, Iris, and Taila run to escape the twins. Auriana says something to them and Mephisto replies but Praxina scolds him.
You see a green crystal hit Taila and she drops the medallion, you try and reach for it but Mephisto catches it and flies in front of you. Taila throws a crystal at him that grazes his arm, she then creates more crystals to run up to him and swipe at him with her spear. Mephisto throws the medallion to Praxina and Taila runs up to her. Before Taila can attack Praxina, Praxina encases the medallion and destroys it in front of Taila.
"Too bad, it was really pretty," Mephisto says before flying off with his sister.
"Taila the twins are getting away!" Iris yells. "Let them go," Taila says, on her knees.
You all go home, but Auriana pulls you and Iris aside. "Hey, you know how the medallion was Talia's sister's magic gem, well it only held the gem, look what Amaru found," Auriana shows you both a small blue crystal. "That's the magic gem, it wasn't destroyed!" you say, excited that Taila won't be sad about losing the medallion anymore.
You all walk into her room. "Hey Tal, I'm ready to learn the most complicated spell you know, sounds fun doesn't it," Iris tries to cheer Taila up a bit. "And I've got smoothies!" Auriana tries as well.
"Girls, please stop trying to cheer me up, I've lost the only link to my family," Taila dejectedly says. "Are you sure about that?" you question and Taila looks back confused. You nudge Auriana who opens her palm to reveal the blue gem. "It's the gem from Izira's medallion, where did you get it?" Taila holds the gem in her hand.
"I should've mentioned this earlier but Amaru found it on the ground," Auriana says sheepishly.
"Could we use it to track the twins?" Iris asks. "That's brilliant, because the twins were the last ones to use it then we might be able to track them with it," Taila says.
You four cast a tracking spell but instead of seeing a place on earth, you see the trapped kingdom of Ephedia. "It must be showing us the location of my sister," Taila realizes. She makes the spell more powerful so she could see exactly where her sister was but it took a harder toll on you, Iris and Auriana. Taila started speaking to her sister but the magic was taking a lot of energy and you didn't know how much longer you could keep the spell up.
You four collapse as the spell ends, you and Iris apologize to Taila as the spell didn't last very long. "Don't be sorry, now I know my sister is alive," Taila looks at you all happy.
The concert was amazing, especially because you got there early enough to be at the front to see the girls performing.
Once the concert ended you and the girls went home together and spilt to go into your rooms. You walk in but sense someone in your room and just by the silhouette you have a good idea of who it is.
"You're not getting any better at stealth, I hope you know that," you flick the light switch to illuminate the room. You can see a shocked Mephisto staring back at you with wide eyes. "I'm guessing Praxina isn't here like last time," you say but he doesn't respond.
"What? Shocked that I'm in my own room?" you ask as you lean on the wall.
Instead of replying he creates a crystal and shoots it toward you but you dodge. Before it hits the wall it disappears as Mephisto doesn't want anyone to hear you're fighting. You summon a crystal to hit him but he makes a shield to block it.
It looks like he's about to shoot another crystal at you so you were about to create a shield but he teleports without doing anything. You stay in a fighting position but he doesn't seem to be anywhere in your room. In a flash of green light your suddenly on your back with your hands above your head and a sharp object at your throat. You look up at Mephisto who's now above you with a green crystal to your throat. He had one hand pinning both of yours above your head so he could use his second to silently threaten you with the crystal.
"You wouldn't kill me, would you?" you ask tauntingly ask.
"No, but I could hurt you," he replies pressing the crystal further into your neck.
You both hear someone call your name, "Hey, you okay, I heard something fall?" Iris yells from the hall. You contemplate on what to say back, you look at Mephisto who's already looking at you. "I just fell Iris, nothing to worry about," you shout back while looking at Mephisto who just flashes you a smug grin. "Okay, goodnight," Iris yells and you can hear her door shut.
"Just fell huh?" Mephisto asks and you roll your eyes. "Don't let it get to your head," you look at him again, "So is this the revenge to my revenge?" you ask. "You could say that," Mephisto answers. "Y'know, this could go on for a while, 'cause I'm going to get you back for this, I hope you know that," you tell him. "What if I want it to keep happening, 'cause I really like this little game we're having," you swore his eyes wandered down to your lips but you weren't able to double-check as he teleported away. You sat up, "Didn't even say bye," you mumble as you stand up.
"Goodbye," you heard his voice speak into your ear and you whip your head to look for him but he isn't there. You look around for a few more seconds before coming to the conclusion that he's gone for good, at least for now.
You get ready for bed but stay up a bit longer doing whatever before finally going to sleep.
