The five adults get to a warehouse and shine their flashlights around.

"Well, what did he say, Dean? What was so important?" Sam asks.

"If I knew, would I be here?" Dean asks. They walk up a set of stairs. "What the hell?" He mutters, looking at the wreckage.

"It looks like a bomb went off." Sam says.

"There was a fight here." Dean says.

"Between who?" Sam asks. Dean's flashlights shines on a symbol on the wall that's painted in blood.

"Check it out. Look familiar?" Dean asks.

"Yeah, it does." Sam says.

"Anna used something like that to wish the angels back to the cornfield." Dean says.

"So, what? Cas was fighting angels?" Sam asks.

"I don't know." Dean shrugs. "Sam." Dean calls, rushing over to where Cas is. "Cas? Cas. Hey, Cas?" He slowly manages to wake up.

"What's...? What's...? What's going on?" He asks.

"Just take it easy. Take it easy." Dean says.

"Oh. No." He says.

"Cas, you okay?" Sam asks.

"Ugh. Castiel. I'm not Castiel. It's me."

"Who's "me"?" The twins chorus.

"Jimmy. My name's Jimmy." He says.

"Where the hell is Castiel?" Dean asks.

"He's gone." Jimmy says.

+++

They're at the motel and Jimmy is practically devouring a burger and some fries.

"You mind slowing down? You're gonna give me angina." Dean says.

"I'm hungry." Jimmy defends.

"When's the last time you ate?" Sam asks.

"I don't know. Months." Jimmy says. He takes another bite of his burger, continuing to eat it, letting out moans of delight.

"You wanna get a different room?" Natalie quips.

"Can you even fuck a burger?" Jacob whispers.

"That's not the point. Point is these are adult noises." Natalie whispers. "Besides, dude did kind of, like, fuck a pie in American Pie."

"Very true." Jacob mumbles, nodding.

"What the hell happened back there? It looked like an angel battle royale." Sam says.

"All I remember is a flash of light and I, uh... I woke up and I was just, you know, like, me again." Jimmy says.

"So, what? Cas just ditched out of your meat suit?" Dean asks.

"I really don't know." Jimmy says.

"You remember anything about being possessed? Anything at all?" Sam asks.

"Yeah, bits and pieces. I mean, angel inside of you, it's kinda like being chained to a comet." Jimmy says.

"Ah, that doesn't sound like much fun." Dean says.

"Understatement." Jimmy states.

"Cas said he wanted to tell us something. Please tell me you remember that." Sam says.

"Sorry." Jimmy says.

"Come on, what do you know?" Dean asks.

"My name is Jimmy Novak. I'm from Pontiac, Illinois. I have a family." He states.

---

Jimmy, Amelia, Claire, and Nathan sit around the table. Both kids reach for food.

"Claire. Nathan." Jimmy warns.

They each withdraw their hands, Nathan pouting. They join hands as Jimmy prays before they're finally able to dig in.

---

"So, what do we do?" Sam asks, the five hunters standing outside the motel.

"What do you mean? The guy's got a family. We buy him a bus ticket, send him home." Dean says.

"I don't know about that. Guys, he's the only lead we got." Sam says.

"He doesn't know anything." Dean says.

"Are you 100% about that?" Sam asks.

"You think he's lying? What, you wanna go Guantanamo on the guy?" Dean asks.

"Maybe he doesn't even know what he knows?" Sam says.

"Huh?" Dean asks.

"What?" Natalie questions.

"I say, at least we get him to Bobby's. Maybe all he needs is hypnosis or a psychic. Or hell, maybe Cas will just drop back into him." Sam says.

"I don't know, man." Dean says.

"Dean, back there, that was angel-on-angel violence. Now, I don't know what's going on, but it's big. And we can't just let the only lead we got just skip out." Sam says. Dean shakes his head. "What?"

"You remember when our job was helping people? Like, getting them back to their families?" Dean asks.

"You think I don't want to help him? I'm just being realistic. I mean, hell, we're doing him a favor." Sam says.

"How?" Dean asks.

"Guys, if we want to question the guy, you can damn well bet the demons do, too." Sam says.

~ ~ ~

"The hell are you talking about, I can't go home?" Jimmy angrily asks.

"There's a good chance you have a bullseye on your back." Dean says.

"What? From who?" Jimmy asks.

"Demons." Dean states.

"Come on, that's crazy. What do they want with me?" Jimmy asks.

"I don't know, information, maybe?" Dean shrugs.

"I don't know anything!" Jimmy exclaims.

"I know, but--"

"Look, I'm done, okay? With demons, angels, all of it. I just want to go home." Jimmy says.

"We understand." Dean says.

"I don't think that you do understand. I've been shot and stabbed and healed, and my body has been dragged all over the Earth. By some miracle, I'm out, and I am done. I've given enough, okay?"

"Look, all we're saying is that until we figure this out, the safest place is with us." Sam says.

"How long?" Jimmy asks.

"We'll cross that bridge when we get to it." Sam says.

Jimmy shakes his head and goes for the door.

"Where are you going?" Dean asks.

"To see my wife and children, okay?" Jimmy says.

"No, you're not. You're just going to put those people in danger." Sam says.

"So, what, now I'm a prisoner?" Jimmy asks.

"Harsh way to put it." Sam says.

"Granted, not far from the truth." Natalie says. Sam gives her a look.

+++

The next morning, Sam is quickly packing while Dean brushes his teeth, and Natalie is sitting on one of the beds, already ready to go. Larissa is playing hangman with the girls and Jacob is sitting by Natalie, his chin resting on her shoulder.

Jimmy escaped last night and now they have to go find him.

"Dean. Would you hurry up?" Sam asks. Dean laughs as he walks over to Sam. "Sorry, uh, this is funny to you?"

"Mr. Big bad prison guard, Jimmy McMook give you the slip? Yeah, it's pretty funny. What were you doing anyway?" Dean asks.

"I was getting a coke." Sam states.

"Was it a refreshing coke?"

"Can we just go, please?"

+++

Dean is driving and Larissa is in the front seat between the brothers while Natalie and Jacob are in the backseat with the girls.

"Hey, guys." Natalie, Larissa, and the girls shriek, turning to find Anna between Libby and Ophelia. Dean, Jacob, and Sam jump, Dean swerving before he's able to get the car under control again. "Smooth."

"You ever try calling ahead?" Dean asks.

"I like the element of surprise." Anna says.

"I don't!" Natalie exclaims, feeling her heart still race.

"That wasn't nice." Libby mumbles, curling into her aunt's side.

"You look terrific." Dean tells the angel.

"Um, yeah, not the most appropriate time, Dean. You let Jimmy get away?" She asks.

"Talk to ginormo here." Dean jabs his thumb in Sam's direction.

"Sam. You seem different." Anna notes.

"Me? I don't know. A haircut?" Sam chuckles.

"That's not what I'm talking about." Anna says. She gives him a look which causes him to look away. Natalie's eyes narrow, both suspicious and confused. She feels Libby cuddle into her side more, the girl looking down.

"So, what'd Jimmy tell you? He remember anything?" Anna asks them.

"Why? What's going on?" Dean asks.

"It's Cas. He got sent back home. Well, more like dragged back." Anna says.

"To Heaven? That's not a good thing?" Dean asks.

"No. That's a very bad thing. Painfully, awfully bad. He must have seriously pissed someone off." Anna states.

"Cas said he had something to tell me. Something important." Dean says.

"What?" Anna asks.

"I don't know."

"Does Jimmy know?"

"I don't think so."

"You don't think so? Whatever it is, it's huge. You gotta find out for sure."

"That's why we're going after Jimmy." Sam says.

"That's why you shouldn't have let him go in the first place. He's probably dead already." Anna states.

---

Claire opens the front door, her and Nathan stepping out onto the porch.

"Daddy?" Claire calls to Jimmy who is standing in the yard. He turns to them, looking confused for a moment. He turns back away from them.

"I am not your father." He states before walking away.

"Wha-- where is he going?" Nathan frowns. Claire shrugs, staring after her father confused.

---

+++

Claire and Nathan go downstairs, only to find both of their parents in the den.

"Daddy!" Nathan grins, rushing forward and tightly hugging his father. Jimmy softly smiles, hugging the eight year old back. Amelia pulls her son away from Jimmy.

"Kids, rooms. Now." Amelia orders.

Claire grabs Nathan's hand, dragging him upstairs, knowing he won't listen so easily.

+++

Claire and Nathan go into the dining room where Jimmy is.

"Hi, daddy." Claire greets.

"Hi, baby." Jimmy smiles and Claire hugs him as he tightly hugs her back. After they break apart, Nathan excitedly hugs his dad again, able to pull away on his own this time.

"Okay, so we have turkey and roast beef. Better be okay. It's all we have." Amelia says, walking in.

"Oh, it's fine. It's more than fine. Should we sit?" Jimmy asks.

"Yeah." Amelia nods.

The four sit around the table.

"It's perfect." Jimmy says, reaching for a sandwich.

"Daddy, aren't you going to say grace?" Claire asks.

"No, honey, I don't think I am." Jimmy says.

"Why are you crying?" Nathan questions.

"Because I'm happy." Jimmy says.

The doorbell rings and Amelia gets up and goes to answer it.

"I'll go see what's going on." Jimmy tells his children, getting up and going to the front door.

There's commotion in the other room and the kids hear their parents screaming. Jimmy quickly ushers his wife and children into the utility room before looking through the shelves.

"Where is it?" Jimmy mumbles.

"Roger was your best friend." Amelia states.

"Roger was a demon, damn it." Jimmy says. He finds a bag of salt and pours a line of it across the doorway. "Don't cross this line!"

"Jimmy, you thought you were better, but you are so sick." Amelia says.

"Look, I am not crazy." Jimmy insists.

"You stay the hell away from us!" Amelia screams, making sure the children stay behind her.

"This is all very, very real." Jimmy says.

"Stay the hell away from us!" Amelia yells.

"Claire, sweetie, Nate--"

"No! Run. Leave them alone, I said." Amelia says. She struggles to keep Jimmy away and Claire grabs Nathan's hand, both running out.

"Stay here." Jimmy tells his wife, rushing out after the kids.

"Stay away from them."

"Claire! Nathan!"

The two parents run into the dining room where Roger has a knife to Claire's neck, his other hand lightly wrapped around Nathan's throat.

"Hey, pal. Told you I'd gut the bitch." Roger says.

"Roger." Amelia gasps.

"Daddy?" Claire calls.

"Just let her go, okay? Let both of them go." Jimmy pleads.

"Now, me, I would, but the missus, she has other ideas." Roger says.

"No!"

"Daddy!"

Roger's wife grabs Jimmy and throws him to the ground, punching him. She looks over her shoulder and Amelia sees her black eyes.

"Oh, my God. No!"

Amelia jumps on Roger's wife, but is thrown back. Nathan watches a tall man with short hair come up behind Roger and cut his throat with a weird looking knife.

Nathan shrieks as Roger's body drops to the floor, the siblings now free.

Roger's wife gets up to attack Dean, but is caught by Sam who uses his powers to exorcise her.

"Go. Get them out of here." Sam says.

"Go, go." Dean urges. Jimmy wraps an arm around his children, the three running out to the Impala where Larissa, Ophelia and Libby are.

"Are you guys okay?" Larissa asks.

"We're okay." Jimmy answers.

"Aw. Can't get it up, can you, Sam?" The demon smirks.

"No, but I can." Before Dean can stab her, the demon leaves the body. Dean grabs the twins ushers Jacob outside, the four running to the Impala.

"Thank God." Jimmy sighs in relief.

"Where's your wife?" Dean asks.

"Right here." Amelia runs over.

"Let's go." Dean says and they all get in the Impala and Dean drives off.

+++

The Impala is parked in a parking garage and the five hunters and Jimmy are standing near the trunk. Amelia and Claire are in the backseat and Claire is asleep. Libby is asleep in the front seat and Nathan and Ophelia are sitting on the hood of the Impala. They're sharing a bag of Cheez Its as they talk, Ophelia mostly just trying to get his mind off of earlier.

"When's your birthday?" Ophelia asks.

"October 14th. I'm 8." He answers.

"I'm 9. My birthday was February 16th." Ophelia says. "I am almost a complete eight months older than you." She grins and Nathan can't help the soft chuckle that escapes.

"How old is she?" Nathan asks, nodding to Libby.

"She's six. She's my cousin, Libby. I usually like her, but she does get annoying. How old's Claire?" Ophelia asks.

"12. Usually like her, but she can get annoying." Nathan smiles and Ophelia quietly laughs.

"Do you like the Ninja Turtles?" Ophelia asks.

"I love them." Nathan grins, the two immediately going into a conversation about the four turtles.

"You were right." Jimmy says.

"I'm sorry we were." Dean says.

"I'm telling you, I don't know anything." Jimmy says.

"I don't think they're inclined to believe you." Dean says.

"And even if they did, you're a vessel. They're still gonna wanna know what makes you tick." Sam says.

"Which means vivisection, if they're feeling generous." Dean says.

"I'm gonna tell you once again, you're putting your family in danger. You have to come with us." Sam says.

"How long? And don't give me that "cross that bridge when we get to it" crap." Jimmy says.

"Don't you get it?" Sam asks. "Forever. The demons will never stop. You can never be with your family. So you either get as far away from them as possible or you put a bullet in your head. And that's how you keep your family safe. But there's no getting out and there's no going home."

"Well, don't sugarcoat it, Sam." Dean remarks.

"Little blunt." Larissa says.

"I'm just telling him the truth. Someone has to." Sam says. Jimmy goes to the car to talk to his wife while Dean notices Ophelia and Nathan.

"They look a little close to you?" Dean asks, watching the two children laugh.

"Dude, relax. She's just trying to comfort him." Natalie says. "And even if that wasn't it, kinda cute." She comments.

"No, it's not." Dean argues. "Nothing about her talking to boys is cute."

"Dean, she's nine. Relax." Larissa tells him.

"Yeah, besides, she's never gonna see him again." Sam says.

~ ~ ~

Sam hotwires a car.

"Okay, so, uh, here's your car." Sam says.

"Take care of your mom, okay, bubs?" Jimmy tells his children.

"Okay." They both mumble.

Jimmy gets in the back of the Impala with , Natalie, Larissa, Jacob, and Ophelia. Sam and Dean get in the front, Sam carefully picking Libby up and putting her asleep figure on his lap.

The mother and children watch the car drive off.

"Why is he leaving again?" Claire asks.

Amelia slaps Claire across the face. Both Claire and Nathan let out short screams, looking to their mother to find her eyes black.

"It's just not my day, is it? You little bitch." Amelia hisses.

~ ~ ~

Jimmy is asleep and Dean is still driving.

"What the hell happened back there?" Dean asks.

"What?" Sam asks.

"You practically fainted trying to gank a demon." Dean says.

"Okay, I didn't faint. I got a little dizzy." Sam says.

"Well, you can call it whatever you want. Point is, you used to be strong enough to kill Alastair. Now you can't even kill a stunt demon number three?" Dean asks.

"What do you want me to say about it, Dean?" Sam asks.

"Well, for starters, what's going on with your mojo? I mean, it's yo-yoing all over the place. I'm not trying to pick a fight here, okay? I just-- you're scaring me, man." Dean says.

"I, uh... I kinda have to second that." Natalie says.

"I'm scaring myself." Sam says. His phone rings and he answers it. "Hello?" He asks. "Who is this?" After a moment he turns to Jimmy. "It's your wife." He says, loud enough to wake Jimmy up. He takes Sam's phone.

"Amelia?" He asks. "Oh, my God."

+++

They get to the warehouse and get out.

"All right, they're expecting you to come alone. That's exactly what you're gonna do." Dean states.

"We'll work our way through the catwalks. We'll be right behind you." Sam says.

"All you gotta do is stay calm and stall. Let us do our job." Dean says.

"You want me to stay calm? This is my family we're talking about." Jimmy says.

"Listen to me, this will work. You understand? Nobody's gonna get hurt." Dean assures.

"Yeah, whatever. Give me a minute, okay?" Jimmy says, walking away.

"There's no way they're expecting him to come alone, Dean. You know this is probably a trap." Sam says.

"Yeah, I know. That's why I have a plan." Dean says.

~ ~ ~

Demons lead the seven into the warehouse.

"Nice plan, Dean." Sam mutters.

"Yeah, well, nobody bats 1,000." Dean says.

"Got the knife?" Amelia asks. One of the demons holding Sam holds up Ruby's knife. "And you know what's funny?"

"You wearing a soccer mom?" Dean asks.

"Is I was actually bummed to get this detail, picking up an empty vessel. Sort of like a milk run. Now look who landed in my lap." Amelia says.

"Yeah, well, you got us, okay? Let these people go." Sam orders.

"Oh, Sam. It's easy to act chivalrous when your Wonder Girl powers aren't working, huh? Now for the punch line. Everybody dies." Amelia smirks. She holds up a gun and shoots Jimmy in the stomach and he falls to the ground.

Amelia turns to one of the demons holding Sam.

"Waste Little Orphan Annie and Oliver Twist." She orders.

Amelia leaves while one demon goes for Claire and Nathan who are tied to chairs, Claire unconscious. The demon picks up a pipe and swings it towards Claire.

"No!" Nathan shouts.

Suddenly, Claire grabs the pipe in one hand, placing the other on the demon's forehead. The demon screams as a bright light escapes it.

Sam, Larissa, Natalie, Jacob, and Dean turn to the demons holding them and start fighting them. They get the demons away from Ophelia and Libby. Claire, currently possessed by Cas, burns the ropes off of her.

Ophelia grabs Libby's hand, dragging her over to Nathan.

Ophelia takes the Swiss army knife Dean gave her one year and opens it, starting to cut the ropes off Nathan.

A demon runs towards them, but Ophelia tilts her head, sending it flying back.

"Whoa! You just-- you just flung that dude!" Nathan exclaims.

"Oh, yeah, um... it-- it's kind of this thing I have." Ophelia sheepishly chuckles.

The five hunters continue to fight the demons and Natalie gets pinned down by the demon, struggling against him.

Jacob and Larissa both manage to kill the demons they were fighting.

Ophelia and Nathan don't notice Libby walk away, going over to one of the demons that are killed. She kneels next to the demon, her arm bleeding from being cut before Larissa had managed to stab her in the chest.

Libby grabs the demon's arm, watching the blood drip. Putting her mouth to the demon's arm, Libby starts to drink the blood.

Light streams from the eyes and mouth of the demon on top of Natalie as he screams and his body drops next to the woman. Natalie looks up, seeing Cas, still in Claire's body, as he makes his way over to Dean.

Cas kills the demon Dean's fighting and Natalie rushes over, Jacob and Larissa already close by. Ophelia finally gets Nathan untied and they run over to them.

"Hey, hey. You guys okay?" Natalie asks.

"Uh-huh." Ophelia nods as Nathan also nods.

"Where's Libby?" Dean asks, the group looking around for the girl. They stop when they see the six year old sucking the blood out of the demon's arm.

"What the fuck?" Larissa whispers, her eyes full of horror.

"Oh, my God." Natalie mumbles, stumbling back, Jacob grabbing her waist to prevent her from falling.

They look around and find Sam straddling a demon and sucking the blood out of the cut on her neck.

Sam turns back, finding his family and Cas watching him. Ophelia moves closer to Dean, tightly hugging his arm. Sam turns back around and stabs the demon through the heart, killing her. He gets up, turning to the others and he raises his hand.

Dean looks at him incredulously, pushing Ophelia behind him. Jacob moves him and Natalie behind Dean as Larissa protects Nathan. They look back and see that Amelia was sneaking up on them. Dean completely turns so he's between Amelia and Ophelia, keeping his daughter behind him. Larissa moves Nathan behind her and Jacob's grip tightens around Natalie.

Black smokes flows out of Amelia's mouth and once it's gone, she falls to her knees, breathing heavily. Castiel goes over to Jimmy and Dean helps Amelia up.

"Mommy!" Nathan tightly hugs her.

"Baby. Baby." Amelia hugs him, running her hand over his head.

Libby looks up, glancing around at everybody else who are all looking over at Cas and Jimmy.

"Of course we keep our promises. Of course you have our gratitude. You served us well. Your work is done. It's time to go home now. Your real home. You'll rest forever in the fields of the Lord. Rest now, Jimmy."

"No. Claire?"

"She's with me now. She's chosen. It's in her blood, as it was in yours." Cas states.

"Please, Castiel. Me, just take me. Take me, please." Jimmy begs.

"I wanna make sure you understand. You won't die or age. If this last year was painful for you, picture a hundred, a thousand more like it." Cas says.

"It doesn't matter. You take me. Just take me." Jimmy orders.

"As you wish." Cas says.

Cas touches Jimmy's face and a bright light emits from his eyes and mouth. Claire drops to her hands and knees as Cas, now in Jimmy's body, stands up. He walks past Amelia who runs over to Claire with Nathan, embracing both of her children in a tight hug.

"Cas, hold up." Dean says when he starts to leave. "What were you gonna tell me?"

"I learned my lesson while I was away, Dean. I serve Heaven, I don't serve man. And I certainly don't serve you."

Cas leaves.

+++

"All right, let's hear it." Sam says as Dean drives.

"What?" Dean asks.

"Drop the bomb, man. You saw what I did. You-- you saw what Libby did... which her willingly doing it is kind of new. Come on, stop the car, take a swing." Sam says.

"I'm not gonna take a swing." Dean says.

"Then scream, chew me out. Natty?" Sam looks back at her.

"I-- I don't even know right now." Natalie says.

"I'm not mad, Sam." Dean says.

"Come on." Sam scoffs. "You're not mad?"

"Nope."

"Right. Look, at least let me explain myself."

"Don't. I don't care."

"You don't care?"

"What do you want me to say, that I'm disappointed? Yeah, I am. But, mostly, I'm just tired, man. I'm done. I am just done."

Sam's phone rings before anybody can say anything else.

"Hey, Bobby." Sam says. Natalie winces as she plays with her bracelets.

"Hey, you and your siblings better shag ass to my place ASAP." Bobby says.

"What's going on?" Sam asks.

"The apocalypse, genius. Now get your asses over here." Bobby says and hangs up.

"What'd he say?" Dean asks.

+++

"Well, thanks for shaking a tail." Bobby says as the six walk to the panic room.

"Yeah, you got it." Dean says as Sam opens the door to the panic room.

"Go on inside. I wanna show you something." Bobby says.

Sam walks into the panic room, but Bobby, Larissa, Jacob, Natalie, and Dean stay outside of it.

"All right. So, uh, what's the big demon problem?" Sam asks.

"You are. This is for your own good." Bobby says. He shuts the door and Dean locks it. Natalie winces, her hands clasped around the back of her neck as she feels guilt start to consume her.

"Guys?" Sam walks up to the door, looking through the barred window. "Hey, hey. What?" Bobby closes and latches the window. "This isn't funny. Guys! Hey! Guys?" He calls as they walk upstairs.

"Let's go, Libs." Dean motions to the stairs.

"Where?" She asks.

"Let's go." Dean grabs her hand, taking her upstairs.

"Dean." Natalie starts.

"She's drinking it too. You're lucky she's not locked away with Sam." Dean hisses. He leads Libby upstairs and to the room that the girls sleep in when they stay at Bobby's.

"Why am I in here?" Libby asks.

"Because you're gonna stay up here while you, uh... while you detox." Dean says.

"Detox?" Libby asks.

"Yeah. Yeah, you're gonna get all that demon blood out of you, ya know? Then you'll-- you'll be back to normal." Dean says.

"I didn't want to drink it." Libby says.

"Okay." Dean nods. "But you're just-- you're staying up here."

"For how long?" Libby asks.

"I don't know." Dean says. He kisses her on the forehead before leaving, shutting the door behind him. Libby hears the lock click and her eyebrows furrow. She gets up, rushing over to the door and tries to open it, but finds it locked.

"Hey!" She yells, banging on the door. "Why is the door locked?"

"It's for everybody's safety, sweetheart. Including yours." Dean calls through the door.

"No! Unlock the door!" She cries out.

"I'm sorry, Libs." Dean says and she hears him walk away.
