"Ma ma! I hungry"!
Ren said bustin in my room.
"Ok baby, give mommy 2 minutes".
I finished writing my last sentence before submitting my assignment.
We were 2 months into school and I already had 10 missing assignments.
On top of that, I was already failing math.
It was never my best subject and this was algebra so I know for a fact this shit was finna be a struggle.
I closed my laptop and picked Ren up heading to the kitchen.
"Whatchu wanna eat baby"?
"I don't know".
She said shruggin her lil shoulders.
"I want fried shrimp".
"Girl that's grown people food".
"Please ma ma? It's sooo good".
She said cuppin my face and makin intense eye contact.
"Girl".
I sat her on the counter and got the shrimp and the seasonings.
"Yay"!
I turned the grease on low and started washing the shrimp and prepared it for the batter.

"Mmm, good ma ma. Thank you".
"You welcome baby".
"You wanna go see Mari when you done"?
"Mmhm".
Once she finished eating I got her cleaned up and put her on a different outfit.
"Let's go ma ma, let's go".
"Ok, we goin".
I grabbed our belongings, including my laptop and books, and headed to the car buckling her in.
I hopped in and hooked up my phone for music.
"Whatchu wanna hear baby"?
"Baby what you doin come here I been missin you, I wanna fu"-

I yelled scarin her a lil bit.
"I ain't mean to scare you baby. But where you learn that at"?
"Sani sing it a lot".
She said referring to Se'Kani.
It's been months and she still can't say his name right.
We grew closer in these last 2 months and Ren has grown attached to him.
"Yeah imma have a talk wit him".
"You don't listen to that baby, it's bad".

I made my way to Ms.Lee's house listening to kid friendly music.
"Hey baby. Hey Ren".
"Hi Ms.Lee".
She waved before running in the house.
I gave her a hug as we both walked in and closed the door behind us.

Shawn said comin out the kitchen wit a plate of food.
"Hi Shawn".
Ren said goin to hug his leg and he hugged her back.
"Wassup thug, you been good"?
"Duh, I'm a angel".
He laughed shakin his head and handed her a 5 dollar bill.
"Thank you"!
She yelled runnin to Mari's room who's door was already open.
"Hey Shawn, where Se'Kani at"?
"He went to the store, he should be back".
He said giving me a side hug.
Just then, the front door opened and he walked in wit bags of snacks and stuff for the house.
"Wassup shawty, where Ren at"?
"Unt uhn. Why you got my baby cursin"?
"Me"?
He asked pointing at himself.
"Yes you, got her singing talm bout some 'I wanna fuck".
"Oooh".
All three of their mouths fell open as he put the bags down and called Ren.
Her and Mari ran in and she ran to him while Mari ran to me.
"Sani"!
He picked her up and she hugged his neck.
"Wassup lil bit. You cursin"?
"Noo".
"You lyin, ma ma just told me you was cursin".
"But you always sing it".
"I'm grown".
"I sorry".
"It's ok, just don't do it again".
"Ok".
Shawn walked up to them wit his hand out.
"Gimme my 5 dollars back, you said you was bein good".
"I was, this my money now".
"It's mine".
"No".
"You that broke you needa steal 5 dollars"?
"You that broke you need it back"?
She said makin everybody bust out laughin.
Se'Kani POV
I walked back into my momma house seein Sin gettin more and more frustrated by the second.
"Where my momma"?
"She left for her date".
Ha ass stay thinkin she grown.
Now if I kick ha ass in the hip she bet not say shit.
"You good"?
"No I'm not, I got 10 missing assignments and I'm failing math".
"I redid this problem 4 times already and got a different answer every time".
She threw her book on the table and let her head fall into her arms.
I picked up her book to check her work.
She indeed tried multiple times and got different answers.
"Here, look".
I sat on the floor next to her as she lifted her head and looked at the book.
She looked tired and stressed out, I kinda felt bad for her.
"You had the right idea on the second try, but you gotta find the solution for x and y".
"You only solving y, that's why you got the wrong answer".
I started solving it while showin my work, I could tell she was tryna follow along but was still havin a hard time.
"Soo, now what"?
"That's it, the answer is 14".
She face palmed herself still confused.
"Redo it, it could be wrong".
I redid it and got the exact same result.
"How you do it though? I still don't get it".
I went over a few more wit her before I had her try it herself.
"Find the solution for X".
She started thinking then showed her work as she tried to solve it.
She handed me the book for me to check her work.
"Try again".
I handed her the book back and she just tossed it on the floor and tried to get up.
"Where you goin"?
"This shit is stressful, I can't do it".
A lot of people had problems wit this shit, fortunately, I wasn't one of em.
When I was in school this shit had them kids stressin to point some of they asses was finna cryin.
Prolly cus they was embarrassed cus it was always the niggas who thought they was cool.
"Try again".
"I been doin this all day".
"Just try again".
I said pullin her back down.

"21".
"You sure"?
She looked at me then her paper and sighed.
"That's what I got".
"Good, it's 21".
"Really"?
"Yeah".
My phone started ringin and I stepped out to take it seein it was Shawn and it was prolly business related.
"Yo".
"Bruh, yo baby momma up here trippin".
He said wit her screamin in the background.
"Is that him? Se'Kani I want my fuckin child"!!
Fuck is this bitch yellin my government for.
"Ight man, I'm on my way. And tell that bitch stop yellin my government in front of people".
I hung up and headed to Mari's room seein her and Ren knocked the fuck out from runnin around all day.
I kissed both of em on the forehead and went back into the living room.
"Imma head out now, see you later".
She got up to hug me and ion know what possessed me but I went in to kiss her and had to catch myself.
We both tensed up for a minute before I just walked out.

"Where the fuck is my child Se'Kani Davonte Lee"!?
My hand went straight to her neck as i slammed her against my car.
"Bitch shutcho ass up yellin my government n shit. And didn't I tell yo ass you wasn't gettin my damn baby"?
"That's my child, imma get custody and yo ass gon be right on child support"!
"Yo ass don't care shit about ha, you just a money hungry ass bitch".
"Getcho fuckin hands off me"!
"Take this and take yo ass home bruh".
I handed her a few bands and pushed her towards her new car that I'm assumin she bought wit the money I gave her last time.
"And this shis still ain't ova nigga"!
"Getcho ghetto ass away from here".
"Fuck you nigga"!
I just stale faced her as she continued to yell all the way to her car.
I just shook my head and dapped Shawn up before headin home.
