I rubbed my eyes as my brother shook me rapidly.
"Nai wake up we gotta leave at twelve it's nine" I rolled my eyes.
"If it's nine something why did you wake me up!" I grumbled.
"Cause dd want you" he said snatching the pink furry blanket off of my goosed bumped skin.
"He coulda came in here" I mumble while coyanni walked out of my room.
Today was court day.
I was nervous and scared All together..all I was hoping is I don't have to go back to my 'mom'
"Hey nigga" I said slapping dds head "ight lil girl" he said smacking his lips making me laugh.
"Here I got yo gift" he said grabbing my hand as I walked around the couch and sat down across from him.
He pulled out a white box with a blue ribbon.
I smiled brightly and excitedly.
"Ooh I'm not ready oh my gosh" I said making him chuckle a bit.
"Thank you so much fa real" I said giving him a kiss on his cheek.
I untied the ribbon carefully before placing it in my side.
I uncovered the box from on top of the little one.
It revealed a blinged out necklace with my name on it with a diamond star on the side.
"Thank you so much" I said giving him another kiss on the cheek.
"It was just a gift Incase I don't see you again" he mumbled.
A tear slipped out of my eye making me quickly wipe it.
"It's gonna be fine..all we can do is pray ok?" I said holding his hands.
"I know...you different sanai fa real" he mumbled.
I was hoping coyanni didn't walk in cause that would be awkward.
"You to dd you saved me to be honest" I said making him furrow my eyebrows.
"If you didn't ask for my number I would have never met you and would have lost hope on finding my brother"

I wasn't lying days before I met dd I had been having suicidal thoughts.

I spent a little time with dds family.

"You nervous mh?" I nodded as we stood in-front of the courthouse.
"I don't wanna face her" I told Notti "She's like the devil in disguise" I muttered.
Almost everyone drum sugarhill was out side of the courthouse.
I don't know why their literally in a gang and could get arrested anytime.
"Be gangsta nai" dd said patting my head making me laugh.
I was trying to have the best additude trying not to just break down was hard right about now.
Coyanni talked to roscoe edot and Dudelyo about something.
"It's eleven fortyfive" ddot said.
I started hugging everyone.
I saved dd for last he looked like he was about to break down just like me.
"Dd please don't cry" I said walking over to him.
I pulled my phone out and gave him a poloroid photo of us together at the park.
