Chapter 18

"Why the fuck people keep knocking on my door like they're police." Silver said aloud to herself as she got off the couch to answer the door.

Without looking through the peephole, she swung open the door and was surprised to see Ro and Crazy-E standing there with blank looks on their faces.

They aren't suppose to be here until another two days. Silver thought.

"I hope you have my money, bitch or you and everyone close to you will be dead in the next twenty four hours." Ro spat as he bumped Silver aside as he walked into her small ass apartment.

Silver was stuck for a few more seconds, before she quickly closed the door and went to the to get the money.

"Here's all your money." Silver said as she came back and drop the duffle bag in the front of him.

Ro raised his eyebrow as he nodded his head at Crazy-E to check inside the duffle bag to make sure everything was in there.

Silver watched as Crazy-E opened the duffle bag and started pulling out cash out the bag.

Ro nodded his head as he looked at the money to make sure it was real. "I'm honestly surprised you got the money and I know the only way your hoe ass got this was probably robbing other niggas cause we all know you ain't no nine to five type bitch."

Silver rolled her eyes as they put the money back, closed the bag and picked it off the floor.

"A'ight let's bounce."

"That's it?" Silver asked

"Yeah, that's it. Unless you want some of this d*ck!" Ro said, laughing as he grabbed the crotch area of his True Religion jeans, Crazy-E just shook his head.

Silver sucked her teeth. "No, thank you."

Silver watched as they left and decided to head to her room for a nap, but as she passed Gold room she heard her crying.

"Gold." Silver called out as she gently knocked on the door.

"Go away, Silver." Gold replied.

Silver was shocked for the second time that day, Gold had never called her by her first name, she could also hear the disgust when she said it.

Silver knew she had messed up and her conscience was nagging at her to make it right, unknown to both Gold and Bambi, Silver had been ear hustling their entire conversation.

She was surprise at how Gold was willing to lose so much just for not ratting her out, she also knew her poor baby have fallen in love for the first time.

I have to fix this. Silver thought as she decided to get dress and head out to try and find Zane.

Once dressed, Silver went outside asking asking everybody if they've seen Zane and nobody so far have, she was about to give up until she two men backs facing her that was leaning up against a cocaine white 2014 Benz.

"Zane." Silver said once she was in front of the two men.

Zane raised his eyebrow at the older woman standing in front of him that looked kind of familiar to him. "Do I know you?"

"No, but you know my daughter, Gold." Silver answered as she gave him a weak smile.

Zane looked more closely at her and could she the resemblance. "Look, I don't know what-"

"No, wait. Gold doesnt even know I'm here." Silver said, cutting him off as she sighed before she said her next words. "I'm the reason she robbed you."

"What," Zane exclaimed confused.

"I owed this guy named, Ro some money and.." Silver started rambling off telling Zane everything.

Zane was in shocked. "This guy, Ro. Is he dark skinned with tattoos all over just one arm?"

Silver gave him a perplexed looked. "Yeah, how do you know?"

Zane shooked his head as he laughed dryly. "Ain't this a bitch, you're talking about my GodFather."

"Fuck," Silver said, then addded. "Look I know you probably don't want nothing to do with her right now, but she needs somebody. Her best friend don't want shit with her cause..."

De'Quan interrupted her. "You talking about my Bambi?"

Silver snapped her head over the man standing next to Zane and could know understand why Bambi didn't wanna lose him, the boy was fine. "So, you must be De'Quan."

De'Quan just nodded his head wanting more information on Bambi, he's been missing her for the past days.

"Anyway, please at least think about talking to her." Silver pleaded before she walked away, heading back home.

Zane and De'Quan watched her walked away. "Yo, what you gonna do?"

"I don't know." Zane answered as he was still slightly shocked at the confession she made.

"Gold robbed you, so her mother could pay back Ro. Atleast the money stayed in the money." De'Quan said, jokingly.

Zane nodded his head as he dragged his hand over his mouth. "I think I need visit him."

De'Quan nodded, understanding. In the back of his mind he knew he had to go and try to fix things with Bambi.

They both hopped in the car, Zane dropped De'Quan off before he headed to Ro's house.

He arrived there a few minutes later and opened the door with his key.

"God." Zane called out as he closed the door behind him.

"I'm in the den." Ro, answered back.

Zane hurried towards the den, opening the door to see stacks of money on the desk in front of Ro.

"What do I owe this visit?" Ro asked, smirking as he leaned back in his chair.

"I gotta talk to you." Zane replied as he sat in the chair in front of the desk.

"What's up?" Ro questioned, curious.

"You know that chick that robbed you? Well the chick I was messing with robbed me and it was her daughter." Zane said, letting Ro take in everything he said before he said his next words. "She was robbing me so that she can give her mom the money, so she could pay you back."

"Fuck outta here!" Ro said in disbelief

"I'm dead serious."

"When I came to your house I knew that little bitch looked familiar." Ro said as he rubbed his chin.

"Aye, don't her calling her no bitch."

"My bad, so what you gonna do?" Ro asked.

"I don't know." Zane answered, honestly.

"You want ya money?"

"Naw, keep it. That little shit she took wasn't really nothing." Zane replied, nonchalant.

Ro nodded his head. "Let me ask you something, are you in love with that girl?"

"Yeah,"

"Go get her." Ro said, simply.

Zane sighed as he rubbed the back of his neck, slouching down in the chair. "She robbed me God."

"Listen, I understand that, but just imagine if you were in her position. I know you would've done whatever to get that money, so your mother ain't lose her life."

Zane nodded. "Was you really gonna kill her if she ain't have the money."

"Yeah." Ro answered looking at Zane like he just asked him the dumbest question.

Zane and Ro sat there and talked for a bit more before Zane went home with everything that happened today on his mind and a decision to make.
