~Your POV~
Zane's standing there, rubbing his arm in discomfort. He can't even look at me.
"Zane?"
He looked startled and then looked away.
"I-I..am sorry..." He choked up.
I could see tears forming in his eye. He looked sad or disappointed. I scoffed in disbelief.
"You're sorry...? I must be the one who's sorry.." I said holding my arm and looking down.
~Zane's POV~
"We went off without any warning. We didn't clean up the mess in the kitchen... We were gone when you tried to find us and we didn't pick up your calls..."She said looking down at the floor.
" Wha?"
This was my time to apologize. Why is she trying to apologize?
"I...the only reason we left was...because something was bothering me..." She confessed.
I kept my eye on her as she began to look more and more upset.
"Y/n I-"
"No. Let me speak first." She said looking directly at me with a sad look on her face.
This broke my heart to see her like this...I didn't mean to be so harsh. Was I harsh?
"We only left because...I kept seeing that person..their glowing green eyes..and stupid laugh...They keep calling me 'tiny'." She said.
My heart palpitated fast. Oh no...
"I saw them down the hallway...near your room. I froze and I...I didn't know what to do.. They've been haunting me...I didn't feel safe as I felt attacked..I screamed for Garroth and heard a crash in the kitchen...He was preparing a picnic for us...I was so afraid that I wanted to leave...I didn't want to think about it. But every time something reminds me of it. Staring at me those stupid green eyes... I...I freeze and remember memories...memories that I'm..unsure are true or not..." She said hugging herself.
"When Garroth went up..I asked him if we could leave. We went to the park and had fun at the arcade and shopped for clothes...I even got you this..."
She rummaged through a paper bag and pulled out a jacket. It had black, muted blue and white stripes on it. She handed it to me and looked down. I looked at the jacket and held it close to me.
"I didn't want you two to come and... Disturb us because... I've always hung out with you two. I never get to spend time with Garroth...I also wanted to gift all of you guys some clothes...even the girls..." She said sitting on her bed.
"I'm sorry we left you two hanging...It was wrong of us to do that... We should've...informed you.." She said wiping a stray tear away.
I looked at her and at the jacket. I placed it on the edge of her bed and sat next to her. She sat silently and was sniffling. The silence was overwhelming us. I don't know how to..ease the situation.
Suddenly, I'm engulfed in a hug.
"Uh-"
I froze and looked to my side to see Y/n hugging me tightly. She was holding on.
"I'm sorry...." She started crying.
"Oh no no no... Don't cry.."
We parted from the hug and I wiped her tears.
"I didn't mean to yell at you... I was just so worried something would happen to you...You're my sister...The only girl we have in the family aside from mom..." I said placing my hand under her chin to look at me.
"I understand you wanted to go away but you could've atleast explained to us what your plans were. We would've understood and accepted your request.."
"It's not easy.." She said looking away.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"It's always that I have to go with you guys....Garroth keeps disappearing somewhere with mom and dad...but..I want to spend time with all of you " She said looking at me.
"Sometimes... the times we spent together are overdue and I want to spend time with others... Like Garroth or maybe Kim or Kawaii~Chan but...they're always busy... Now that I have the chance.. I took it."
Flashback
"Garroth! Waitt up! Can't we go have a sibling bonding time??" Y/n asked running down the stairs after Garroth.
I quickly blocked her from Garroth.
"I'm sorry baby sis. Garroth's busy with mom. You can hang out with us though."
"But why..? He never has time for me.." She said crossing her arms and pouting.
"Maybe another time, baby sister." Garroth said sternly, leaving us in the house.
"This sucks.."
"You'll always have me." I said trying to comfort her.
"Yeah I do. But I wanna hang out with Garroth too.... I never get to hang out with him since I woke up..."
-another flashback-
"Where's Garroth?" She asked.
I was sipping on my coffee and shrugged.
"He hasn't return home yet."
"When is his free schedule?"she asks.
I look up to her and she looks really hopeful. I sighed.
" Garroth's fully booked for the rest of the months."
"What? Why? I wanna see him...Can't we go see him?" She looked sad.
It was hesrtbreaming to see her like this. I couldn't take it.
"Does he..."
I looked at Y/n in confusion.
"...Hate me?"
My eyes widened. I placed my black mug down and looked straight at her.
"Sister, he's... just busy. He doesn't hate you. He loves you and... Mom and dad have put him on pressure since.."
I can't tell her...
"Since what?" She asked curiously.
"Since..uhhh there have been problems at the uhh company."
"Oh..."
"Don't lose hope tho. He'll be back and when he does, you two can hang out."
End of flashback
"Oh...I see.."
"I'm really sorry for yelling at you...but next time, just let me okay?" I said holding her hands.
"I don't want you to get hurt..."
Again....
She nods at me and hugs me again. This time, I hugged her back.
"I'm really sorry..."she said softly.
"Likewise sister..."
We let go from the hug and she smiles at me.
"We're good?" She asked.
I nodded. "Yes. You little troublemaker." I said ruffling her hair.
"Hey!"
She smacks my hand away and I laugh and so does she. She looks at me and looks at something behind me. She raised her hand and pointed.
"That jacket is for you okay? A gift from me for... Always being a worrisome big brother." She said jokingly.
I stood up and grabbed the jacket.
"It is a nice one. Thank you." I said appreciating the colors that blend so well on the jacket.
"You're welcome." She said with a smile on her face.
I noticed the tray of food Garroth brought in earlier and smiled.
"Why don't you eat and rest for now? Garroth, Vylad and I will be downstairs if you need us." I said, motioning to the tray of food Garroth brought.
She looks at it and her face lightens up.
"Oh! Yeah... I will." She said smiling.
I nod and turn to close the door.
"Enjoy."
I turned around and grabbed the door knob.
"Zane?"
I turned around to look at Y/n.
"Yes?"
"I forgive you.." She said with a calm smile on her face.
"I.."
I sighed and nodded.
"As do I."
"Enjoy your food, baby sister." I said closing the door.
I sighed heavily and looked at the door of my room and remembered what Y/n said.
"We only left because...I kept seeing that person..their glowing green eyes..and stupid laugh...They keep calling me 'tiny'."
"I have to protect her..."
