Kagome P.O.V
I was running to the cafeteria to meet up with Grim and Ace
'Geez, I didn't think I'll be this late to the meet up' When I got closer to the cafeteria, I heard a loud crash coming from inside. I rushed inside and saw the chandelier on the ground broken, Grim was on the ground unconscious and the boy with a heart mark under is eye groaning in pain and glared at the other boy with a spade mark under his eye
"I-I screwed up! I didn't think about the landing!" The boy with a spade said as he started to freak out
Before the boy with a heart could say anything, I shouted at them
"Are you guys morons!" I shouted and they turned to my direction "Look at what you did! Don't you guys ever think before you act!? Now the Headmaster is gonna blame me for something I didn't do!"
"W-Woah, chill out, will ya. If the Headmaster finds out we busted the chandelier..."
"If I find out?" From behind us was Headmaster Crowley himself
"Ah! Headmaster..." The boy with the heart mark looked scared
"Just... What... Exactly... ARE YOU ALL DOING?!?!?!" Headmaster Crowley shouted
"Ffnyaa... The room is spinning" Grim said as he still looked dizzy
"You weren't satisfied with just damaging the statue, so you decided to destroy the chandelier!? This is the last straw! I will have you all expelled!"
"Eeeeeeeeehhhhhh!!"
"Please! Anything but that! I have things I have to do at this school!" The boy with a spade mark pleaded
"You have nothing to blame but your own idiocy" Headmaster Crowley said
"I will pay for all damages if I have to!"
"This is no normal chandelier. This is a magical chandelier that runs on magic and lights candles that will burn for eternity. It is a masterpiece we commissioned the legendary Meister of Magical Tools to make. It's a treasured legacy that has been around the school's very foundation. Taking into consideration its historical value, it would cost no less than a billon Madol. Can you pay for those damage?" Headmaster Crowley asked
"A b-billon Madol?!" The boy with a spade mark looked shocked
"That's over the top expensive!" I said
"But teacher, can't you just fix it up with magic...?"
"Magic is not all powerful. Moreover, the magic crystal, which we call the heart of any magical tool, was shattered. No two magic crystals are the same. The chandelier will never be lit again" Headmaster Crowley said
"How can that..."
"Crap... What am I doing...? What am I going to tell mom...?"
"Headmaster, is there a way to fix it or something?" I asked, and the headmaster started to think
"There is one way. There might be a way to fix the chandelier" Headmaster Crowley said
"There is?! What is it!?" I asked as I started shaking
"P-Please stop shaking me so I can speak" I stopped shaking him and cleared his throat to speak "The magic crystal for this chandelier was mined in the Dwarf's Mine. If we have a magic crystal of the same kind as the original, then repair might be possible" Headmaster Crowley said
"Then I will go and find the magic crystal! Please allow me go!" The boy with the spade mark said
"However, I have no guarantee that there are any left in the mine. The mine has been closed for a while and it's possible it is exhausted of crystals" Headmaster Crowley said
"I'll do anything to get our repulsion rescinded!"
'He's very determined' I thought to myself
"...Very well. I shall give you one night. Come to me with the magic crystal by tomorrow morning or face expulsion" Headmaster Crowley warned
"Yes! Thank you very much!"
"Oh boy, fine. Let's go get that magic crystal and be done with it" The boy with the heart mark said
"Use the Gate in the Mirror Chamber to go directly to the Dwarf's Mine" Headmaster Crowley instructed
"Yes sir!" Then the boy with the spade mark quickly left the room, and Grim regained consciousness
"What now...? What exactly did I..." Grim jumped in fright when he saw my angry expression
"Grim. You're grounded from cans of tuna for a month" I said and Grim cried
No One P.O.V Mirror Chamber
When the group got to the mirror chamber, Kagome started to talking to the duo
"Um... Can I ask for your names?" Kagome asked, and the duo looked at her
"Oh yeah, I'm Ace Trappola. And you must be the first girl who actually got accepted" Ace said
"I'm Deuce Spade. I was shocked to know that a girl is here and attending here as a student" Deuce said
"I know, right? I was shocked myself to learn that this is an all boy school" Kagome said "So, let's head to the Dwarf's Mine and look for that magic crystal!"
Deuce looked at the Mirror
"O Dark Mirror! Light our way to the Dwarf's Mine!" Deuce said as the mirror started glowing
Dwarf's Mine - Silent Woods
Once the brightness dimmed down, the group opened their eyes and in front of them was the forest and a cottage
"So this is the place?" Kagome asked and Deuce nodded at her question
"It used to be prosperous, but now..."
"Uuuuhhh... Feels like something could jump out..." Grim said as he behind Kagome's legs
"Oh, there's a house back there. Let's go ask them about the mine" Ace said as the group made their way to the cottage
When they got to the cottage, Deuce knocked on the door before entering
"Good evening... I guess it's abandoned... It's a mess in here" Deuce said as they entered the cottage, and Grim's face was covered in a spider web
"Puwah! I got a spider web in my face! Peh! Peh!" Grim started cleaning up his face
"I wonder who used to live here" Kagome wondered, and she looked at the chairs and tables that looked child-sized
"Aren't the tables and chairs on the small side? Are they for kids?" Ace asked and started counting the chairs "One, two... There's seven! So many!"
"It was probably a lively home when the Dwarf's Mine was thriving" Deuce said
"I bet it was too" Kagome said
"Staying here is pointless. The coal mine is probably our best shot at finding the magic crystal. For now, let's go check it out" Ace said and they started heading to the mine
Dwarf's Mine Entrance
When the group got to the mine's entrance, Grim started shaking and hid behind Kagome's legs
"W-We're gonna go in that pitch black hole?!" Grim asked
"Ya scared? How lame" Ace teased and that made Grim mad
"Naaanh!? I'm not s-scared at all!" Grim moved from behind her legs and started walking to the entrance "I'm taking the lead! You guys, follow me!" Grim said as he started walking inside the mine
"You need to stop antagonizing Grim like that, Ace" Kagome said as they entered the mine
"Why? It's fun" Ace said and Kagome sighed
As they ventured inside the mine, Deuce stopped walking
"?! Wait!" Deuce said to the group and they stopped walking
"What?" Ace asked
"Is something wrong, Deuce?" Kagome asked
"Something is there!" Deuce pointed into the darkness and ghosts slowly made their appearance
"Eeek!" Grim screamed and jumped into Kagome's arms
"Heeeeeee hee hee! Our first visitor in the past ten years!" The first ghost said
"Make yourselves at home. For eternity!" The second ghost said
After they finally got away from the ghosts, they took a moment to catch their breath
"This place is haunted with ghosts too!" Ace said
"We don't have time to deal with every single one of them. We'd better hurry!" Deuce said
"Don't you think you can order me around. We wouldn't be in this mess in the first place if you hadn't done something idiotic" Ace said
"You wanna talk about who started it? It's cause you wouldn't clean!" Deuce shouted
"Oh, we're pointing fingers now? That furball over there burned the Queen of Hearts' statue first!" Ace said as he pointed at Grim
"Ffgna!? That's on you! That's what you get for making a fool outta me!" Grim shouted while glaring at Ace
"All of you! Do you understand our situation right now?! We're all expelled if we don't get back with the magic crystal by tomorrow morning!" Deuce said
"For the last time, stop acting like you're in charge here. It's really ticking me off!" Ace said
"Would you guys knock it off!" Kagome shouted and smacked them with a paper fan and they rubbed the spot where they got hit, Kagome heard something "Guys, I think I heard something" The guys carefully listened
"...on't....ive....wo...." The group freaked out
"W-Wh-What's... this voice?" Ace asked sounding scared
"Cry...stal....sssss....mine..."
"I think it's... getting closer..." Deuce said
"Crystal.... IS MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEE!!" Coming out from the shadows was a monster wearing tattered clothes, holding a pickaxe and its head was a glass full of ink
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" Kagome screamed in fear
"I-It's heeeeeeeeeeeeeere!!" The guys screamed and they started running away
"What the heck is that thing?!" Deuce asked as he continued running
"Ffgnnnnnnnnnnnaaaaaaa!! Crowley didn't say anything about that!! Let's get outta here!" Grim said
"It's so nasty! But didn't it mention a crystal?" Ace asked
"It did say that!" Kagome said
"Cry...stal... won't...give...!" The monster said as he continued chasing after the group
"So there really are magic crystal left!" Deuce said as he stopped running
"N-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-nope! Nope! I'm a genius, but I don't stand a chance against that thing!" Grim said
"But we'll be expelled without it... I'm going!" Deuce said as he pulled out his magical pen
"You've gotta be kidding!?" Ace said
"But Deuce, it's too dangerous by yourself!" Kagome said
"I cannot, under any circumstances be expelled!" Deuce said as he started fighting the monster
