I woke up to dd.
He was playing with my necklace.
"You finally woke up huh" he said as he stopped fidgeting with my necklace.
I nodded my head as I rubbed my eyes.
"We going somewhea tonight" he said.
"Ouuu" I said as I got up.
It's new year's eve and I could proudly say im going into 2023 with a man.
I went to grab my tooth and brushed my teeth.
I washed my face and combed through my lash extensions.
I grabbed one of dd's hoodies and put it on, I was mad cold.
He went in the bathroom after me.
I was mad tired so I fell asleep until dd got out of the shower.
"Baee" he said shaking me away.
"hm?"
"You tired?" He asked me.
"Yeah" I said sitting up wrapping my arms around his neck.
"I gotta get ready" he said.
"Noo" I said clinging onto him.
"Bae I gotta gooo" he said putting me down.
I was mad tired and I didn't even know why.
"Where you going?" I managed to say getting under the covers.
"I'm finna go meet up wit ddot. Nigga just got banned on twitch so he said he not gon ever stream again" he said laughing.
"He got anger issues" I said giggling.
"Aight this look good?" he asked.
"Now why would you wanna impress anyone but me" I asked.
"Kalani trust me. Like I said do this look good?" He asked as he pulled up his pants.
"Yea you look good in anything ." I said.
"Preciate it ma" he said as he grabbed jays keys again.
Jay probably gon wonder why his car ain't in the driveway one day.

"Aight imma be back in a few" he said.
I slid into his bed going to sleep.
"Ma" I heard someone shaking me.
"Hmm" I said rubbing my eyes.

I sucked my teeth as I got up going to the bathroom.
I brushed my teeth again, letting my hair down.
I had just straightened it.
I picked out a nice outfit.
After I finished my outfit I brushed out the curls I put in my hair.
Since it was new year's eve I wanted to look cute for my last day living in 2022.
I put a little bit of makeup on and brushed through my lashes.
I then put in diamond earrings.
I walked downstairs to see everyone in the living room.
Including my family.
"What's going on?" I said.
I was nervous.
"Am I going to jail? Who died" I asked.
Everyone laughed.
"Girl no we're just all going to times square for the new years countdown." Eva said.
"Ohhh. Why y'all ain't say all dat?" I said with a sigh of relief.
"Girl let's go" malaya said as everyone got up.
"We're going in 3 seperate cars." melz said.
"I'll ride with eva" I insisted.
"Wowww it's like dat sis?" Malaya siad.
"Girl you have jay you'll be fine." I said.
I'm assuming everyone knew now.
I sat in a car with eva, melz, and jstar.
"Girl you look so good." I said.
"Thank youuu" she said hugging me.
"I feel like we haven't hung out in mad longg" I said.
"Nah forreal like you and dd been spending mad time together" she said.
"True but you still my bestfriend" I said hugging her.
"Speaking of dd that's my man nowww" I said sticking my tongue out.
"Girl finally we was all waiting" she said laughing.
"Girl you a mess" I replied.
Manhattan, NY.
We made it to times square about an hour before the countdown.
I was mad excited and I really couldn't wait for the new year and what it brings.
"Bro where the fuck is the food" ddot said coming behind us with candy.
"Nigga you quite literally have eaten it all." I said.
"Nah cause all I ate was a table full where the fuck is the rest" he said walking off looking for more food.
"He serious?" notti asked.
I just laughed as I walked over to my family.
"Kalani. Since you have a boyfriend for the new year you are having a new years kiss right?" my mom asked me.
"Yea probably" I said shrugging my shoulders.
"I'm just glad I get to enter my new year with my family. A kiss isn't important right now" I said gathering them into a group hug.
"girl you're lying that's all that's been on my mind." Malaya said walking over to jay.
"She's been stolen" my dad said.
"Yeaa" I said laughing.
"Omg I need to do new year's resolutions" I said pulling out my phone.
"Mom dad what's yalls resolutions" I said turning my flash on.
"To keep growing our family and marrying you off to someone so you can get out" my mom said laughing.
"Ma." I said giving her a death stare.
"I'm joking i'm joking, but the first part wasn't a joke" she said.
I nodded as I went over to malaya and jay.
"What are y'all's new year's resolutions?" I asked.
"Don't do drugs kids and don't have kids when you are kids" malaya said.
"Girl you're so random" I said walking to ddot.
"New years resolution fat stuff" I said.
"Don't let me get fat kalani please." He said glaring at me.

I went around asking everyone for their resolution.
After that it was time for the countdown.
I went to find dd as there were 45 seconds left.
"excuse me" I said getting through mad crowds of people.
"DAVID" I said as I ran up to him.
"New years kiss" I said.
"Nahh you remembered" he said smiling.
"Mhmm now come on you wasting time" I said as I handed melz the phone to record us.
The countdown began.
As it got to 10 seconds I wrapped my arms around his neck as we watched the ball drop together.
Everyone was screaming happy new years as we kissed passionately.
We kissed for the first minute of the new year and I wouldn't wanna do anything else to be honest.
"I love you" I said in his ear.
"I never did ask you your new year's resolution" I said as I looked up at him.
"Tryna wife you up fr" He said.
"Y'all are too cute" melz said as she gave us the phone.
"Nahh y'all tell me why eva forgot our new years kiss I should slap ha right now" notti said as he pulled eva.
"Nigga what I literally kissed you" she said.
"But not as much as I wanted you too" he said.
"Boy shut up." She said as she pulled him into a kiss.
"Awww" I said as I took a few pictures of them.
I was mad ready for the new year.
I was finally happy after everything, I had mad friends, a new family and my fine ass boyfriend.
"I told y'all you was gon be some" ddot said.
"nah forreal, they ain't listen to us" eva said laughing.
"We all seen it coming" malaya said.
Everyone else around us just agreed.
"I love y'all and i'm thankful that notti forced me to sit by y'all" I said
"I do dat shit ya heard" he said as he flexed his invisible muscle.
"Besides me and this lil weak nigga ain't got nun" I said hitting dd on his chest.
"I hate yo ass." dd said as he looked at me.
"I hate you too. Dumbass" I said as I kissed him.
"This some Enemies to Lovers type shit." he said making us both laugh.
