I don't know where I am. I can't feel anything; I can't see anything. But that every passing feeling still lingers in the back of my mind. The sense of fear.

In the back of my mind, I can hear someone screaming my name.

I lost. I lost everything betrayed by a dear friend. Slowly coming to, I was hunched over, gagging, feeling my soul fading with each passing second. My Pokemon were down for the count. Zorua was barely holding on. But even with that, I stood up against all the odds stacked against me, the world crumbling away ending. I had one last Pokeball, one ray of hope to throw into the dark.

"Somethings never change; you always fight to the bitter end. I offered you a way home, a peaceful way out as the world ends. But you refuse, so. This is your reward. Complete AnnihilationAnnihilation."

The Shadow Pokemon sprung its wings out, sending another devastating attack out. The platform I stood on was destroyed; losing my footing, I fell. I fell into the endless abyss, lost to time and space, never to be seen again and erased from history.

5 hours earlier...

All around was the sound of alarms roaring to life. Dozens of Team Galactic Grunts were running onto the scene as their base was under attack. Already with their Pokemon, the doors blasted open as Tinkaton smashed down, knocking everyone back. Goodra charged to defend against all the oncoming attacks while Liligant ambushed the others, taking out each grunt.

Recalling Tinkaton and Goodra, I ran in looking to wipe this base out for good. Looking up to the next floor, Iron Valiant was taking care of any stragglers with no issues at all. My rotom phone came into view as Looker was calling. "Y/N, what is your report?"

"I've infiltrated Team Galactic's HQ, plenty of resistance but nothing we cannot handle."

"Very good, your friends are tackling another base not far from here; there have been no reports of the Commanders or Mars; they must be hiding with you somewhere."

Nodding, I took the phone putting it to my ear. "Roger that Looker, I'll keep pushing forward."

"Not so fast!" Turning around, I was caught off guard by a couple of dozen grunts cutting off my exit. Iron Valiant jumped down, ready to fight, but this was far too many. "Bwahaha, how do you like it now, kiddo!? Behold the combined strength of the Team Galactic Grunts! It doesn't matter how strong your Pokemon are; we outnumber you and have all the potions needed."

"Ganging up on one trainer? How about more of a challenge?" Someone called out as a Garchomp crashed down behind the Grunts, launching into an Earthquake and knocking out every Pokemon in one hit. "It appears I made it just in the nick of time." Cynthia admired appearing on the scene with Garchomp by her side.

"Crap, it's the undefeatable Champion!"

"I'm pretty sure that title goes to Leon." Grunt 2 whispers trembling. "I don't need to see how this song ends. I'm out of here!"

The Grunts dispersed as I took a deep breath returning Iron Valiant. "Aren't you a sight for sore eyes? Thanks for the assist, Cynthia."

"Think nothing of it; I've let Team Galactic get away with too much once again; it's time we bury this hatchet and end the madness. Will you aid me in this goal?"

Nodding, I felt all the more confident now the Champion of Sinnoh was here. "Of course, I can't let evil like this carry on. No one else will suffer because of Team Galactic."

"Thank you. I hope you don't mind if I lead the way; I intend to stop this right now." She snaps, walking towards the large metal doors, the last room to the HQ. "Garchomp, use Draco meteor!"

Garchomp's devasting attack obliterated the door leaving nothing standing but smoke. Her power was unlike anything I've ever seen before. Keep my Pokemon close; I entered the bunker, seeing screens full of data on the Time Distortions and the Pokemon coming through them—one for each typing, all apart from Dragon. Approaching one of the screens, I was dumbfounded by the discovery. "These are pictures of Hisui, perfect modern-day photos... How is that possible?"

"The Sinjoh ruins, too, alongside the legends of Dialga. So what on earth has Team Galactic been doing down here?" Cynthis muttered, concerned.

"Changing the world." We both turned, ready for battle, as Mars stood alone, looking at her prize. "What do you think? I'm pretty pleased with the progress made in such a short amount of time. Hisui is quite the region, free of trivial things like gyms and Pokemon Centers. Just freedom; I quite like that world. I'm sure Cyrus would too."

"You went to Hisui? That's not possible." I respond, clenching my Pokeball tightly. "The Time Distortions are-."

"The Time Distortions are under the control of Team Galactic, and with the assistance from our... past benefactor, I'll be able to rip a hole through time and space and free Cyrus once and for all."

"Past benefactor!? Who would be crazy enough to work with you from Hisui?" I bark, not believing her lies.

Cynthia glared down at Mars shaking her head in disapproval. "You would destroy this world just for the chance to see Cyrus again? I am sure he doesn't want to be found."

"You're wrong. All of you're mistaken. And I'll prove it." She hisses, holding a Hisuian Pokeball up. "Nothing is going to stand in my way. Decidueye, I choose you!"

Decidueye burst into battle, spreading its wings out, raring for a fight. Cynthia stared on, holding her chin, inspecting the foe. "This isn't like any Decidueye I've encountered."

"She's using Hisuian Pokemon... That's not good at all. Stealing Pokemon from different times, I won't allow that! Goodra, take her down!"

Cynthia kept in the battle with Garchomp as Mars was the first to attack. "Decidueye use triple arrows; hold nothing back!"

Delivering an axe kick, Decidueye proceeded to fire off three arrows, devastating our advances. Forced back, I had no choice but to go on the defensive to avoid such a super-effective blow. "Goodra, quickly use shelter before Decidueye attacks again!"

Holding the line, I gave Cynthia the breather she needed allowing Garchomp to set up. "Don't let this chance slip us by, Garchomp swords dance!"

"Decidueye use leaf storm on the Garchomp!"

"Goodra, take the hit and return it with dragon pulse!" The attack did very little to Goodra, thanks to the quad resistance. Striking back with a powerful dragon pulse, Cynthia took the next step looking to end the battle once and for all.

"End it Garchomp use poison jab!"

Super effective, a one-hit KO.

Mars took Decidueye off the battlefield, holding her next Pokemon. "I'm not done yet. Ursaluna, you're up!"

"What Pokemon is that?" Cynthia whispered, unsure what move to pull yet.

"Ursaluna! That's a terrible matchup; it's the evolution of Ursaring!"

"Hisui is so fascinating. But that won't stop the likes of us. Garchomp strike the Ursaluna with an earthquake!"

"Oh no, you don't; Ursaluna ram into Garchomp with Headlong Rush!" Garchomp was tackled and rammed into the room. We came from the area exploding.

Looking shocked, I turned to Cynthia biting my lip. "You take care of Ursaluna. I'll handle whatever comes next."

"Of course, good luck."

"Your chances of winning just vanished now the champion is gone. Prepare yourself, weakling! You won't stand a chance against my Zoroark's illusions!"

I paused, staring at her final Pokemon. The uneasiness was eating away at me. Of course, she had a Hisuian Zoroark...

But that wouldn't deter me. Looking at Zorua, I smiled, knowing there was no one else I'd rather fight with. "Don't underestimate the power of Mimi! We won't back down!"

As the battle began, Mars wasted no time and ordered her Zoroark to attack first. Zoroark leapt forward with incredible speed, disappearing into thin air and leaving behind an illusory afterimage. It was a classic tactic, but I remained focused.

"Mimi, stay sharp!" I commanded. "Don't be deceived by its tricks! Use your keen senses to locate the real Zoroark!"

Zorua nodded and closed its eyes for a brief moment, relying on its natural ability, Illusion, to deceive the opponent. It then opened its eyes and scanned the battlefield with an intense focus. Zorua's sharp instincts allowed it to see through the illusory clones and pinpoint the real Zoroark's position.

"Mimi, Feint Attack!" I called out.

With a burst of agility, Zorua dashed toward the real Zoroark, who was momentarily caught off guard by its strategy. The attack landed, dealing a solid blow to Zoroark's side, but Mars remained unfazed.

"Zoroark, retaliate with Night Daze!" she commanded.

Zoroark regained its composure and unleashed a powerful dark pulse from its palms. The swirling energy shot toward Zorua, who narrowly dodged the attack, using its agility to evade harm.

"Mimi, counter with Dark Pulse!" I shouted.

Zorua concentrated its energy and released a pulsating wave of darkness aimed directly at Zoroark. The dark pulse struck its mark, causing Zoroark to stagger backwards under the impact. But Mars wasn't finished yet.

"Zoroark, use your Illusion ability! Confuse the enemy!" she ordered.

In an instant, Zoroark's form shifted and morphed into a replica of my Zorua. It was a dazzling display of illusionary prowess, and I had to focus my attention to discern the real Zorua among the clones.

"Mimi, trust your instincts!" I urged. "Use your Illusion ability to maintain your focus!"

My Zorua's eyes gleamed with determination as they mirrored Zoroark's transformation, creating a mirrored battlefield of illusions. The two Pokémon circled each other, each waiting for an opportunity to strike.

But I knew that persistence would pay off. I called out, "Mimi, strike through the illusions! Use your Night Daze!"

My Zorua lunged forward, its silhouette blending seamlessly into the illusionary battlefield. It pinpointed the real Zoroark, who had momentarily faltered and unleashed a powerful Night Daze attack. The dark energy erupted, engulfing the battlefield and striking the true Zoroark head-on.

Mars gasped in disbelief as her Zoroark staggered backwards, its strength waning. Nevertheless, it was a critical hit, and victory was within our grasp.

"Finish it, Mimi! Use your Feint Attack once more!" I exclaimed.

Zorua sprang forward, channelling the remaining energy it had left. With one final burst of agility, it struck Zoroark with a powerful Feint Attack, overwhelming the weakened Pokémon. Zoroark stumbled and finally collapsed, unable to continue the battle.

As Mars recalled her defeated Pokémon, her face contorted with frustration, her hand shaking. "Lost again to a child... How can this be?"

"Give it up, Mars, it's over," I mutter, picking up Zorua and ensuring she isis alright. "You don't have to do this anymore."

Cynthia walked back into her Garchomp unscathed. "He's right Mars. Before any more innocent people are hurt."

Looking down, defeated, Mars kept shaking her head, faintly biting her lip. "No, no. I cannot lose; Cyrus is relying on me to save him. I'll never give up!"

The alarms began to go off again as all the screens ignited with a warning.

Time Distortion is Imminent.

"What twisted sense of coincidence is this!? A Time Distortion is coming right on top of us!" Cynthia yelled, trying to get me to safety, only for it to topple right over the HQ.

Covering my face, the Distortion, to my surprise, faded just as soon as it arrived, but what happened next threw me. We had moved. We weren't in Team Galatic's HQ anymore. Nevertheless, the location was familiar—a sense of wonder and dread.

It was Spear Pillar.

"This isn't possible. You really have control over the Time Distortion..."

With a subtle smirk, Mars turned away, mocking us. "This was where it happened. Where Cyrus' plans were foiled, and this is where they will succeed!"

"Opening the Distortion World is impossible; you would need the Legendary Pokemon at your disposal to even manage such a thing."

Pushing back her trench coat, I caught wind of the mysterious Pokeball she had locked away. I felt my heart race, it looked Hisuian, but it was pure red. Cackling, Mars threw the sleek Poké Ball, releasing a magnificent and otherworldly creature onto the battlefield. It was Palkia, the legendary Spatial Pokémon.

Palkia emerges, emanating an aura of immense power and ancient wisdom. Its pearlescent body shimmers with iridescent hues, reflecting the cosmos itself. Towering over the trainers and their Pokémon, Palkia's presence alone sends a shiver down their spines.

The ground trembles beneath Palkia's colossal form with each stride, causing the onlookers to gasp in awe and trepidation. Its piercing blue eyes lock onto its opponents, exuding an unwavering confidence that borders on arrogance. Mars, sensing the fear brewing among us, relishes in their apprehension.

"That's Palkia..." I croak, horrified. "The Pokemon that controls space, don't tell me that's how you've been controlling the Time Distortions!?"

"Nothing will stand in my way. I warned you of the consequences. I shall breach the Distortion world with the plates of creation and make things right!"

"Oh no, you don't, Roaring Moon; stop her!" I shout throwing my Pokeball. However the sheer might of Palkia blew us all back stopping Roaring Moon from emerging. Lying on the floor, Cynthia came to my aid as Garchomp was defeated quickly by the legendary Pokemon.

Palkia turned, swinging its arm down and ripping a hole through space. It began to grow as darkness flooded the area. "Stop it, Mars! Please stop!"

A giant Time Distortion erupted, spreading as far as the eye could see. Mars stared on as her victory was absolute. "Leader Cyrus, I'm coming to save you."

Together with Palkia, she took one step into the other world.

Taking Cynthia's hand, I stood up, seeing the world consumed by darkness. "What did she do?"

My Rotom phone went off as I answered, seeing Akari and Professor Rowan on the other end. "Y/N!? Y/N, can you hear me!? What's going on? Time Distortions are opening up all over. It's swallowing up Sinnoh and Hisui!"

"The Distortion world. Taking Palkia in, there is corrupted space as it was corrupted time... Oh dear, Arceus..."

"Y/N, Y/N, look at me. You need to remain calm." Cynthia stated with a faint smile. "It's not over yet; we can still bring an end to the Time Distortions. If we free Palkia and bring it back, the Time Distortions will end."

"Ye- Yeah..." I mutter, looking at my phone. "We'll fix this, guys. Hold on a little longer."

Approaching the portal, I felt every fibre of my body screaming no. This wasn't right; no one should step foot near that thing. "Deep breath, Y/N."

"Deep breath. Here goes nothing."

With a leap of faith, I plunged into the abyss, unsure where it would take me. We had to win. Otherwise, both Sinnoh and Hisui are doomed.
