I tried to open the basement door but it was locked, they were obviously discussing Billy or something "Guys let me in!" I heard footsteps walk up and then the door was open Mike was standing there, "Hey Mike" I mumbled, "Hey" He muttered back and moved aside so I could walk down, We both walked down the stairs and I sat on the couch next to Lucas
Mike filled me in on what's happened and Max and Eleven were in the bathroom, "Something's not right I can't get Hopper off my back all summer now all of a sudden he's hiking with Will's Mom to Illinois and Dustin's MIA too? I mean this can't be a coincidence!" Mike ranted
I thought back to the last time I saw Dustin he had just heard a secret Russian code or at least he called it that, I thought about telling the group but that wouldn't be the reason he's not talking to any of us, that would just be stupid
"What does it matter, the bottom line is they're not here, its up to us" Lucas stated
"Up to us to do what exactly" Mike questioned
"Find Billy and stop him"
Mike and Lucas started going back and forth about what could happen and I was just getting tired of them already maybe Jamie was right
"We got the mind flayer out of Will before and he just came right back, we don't just have to stop Billy we have to stop the mind flayer"
"How the hell are we supposed to do that?" I preached
"I don't know!"
"Maybe El does." Will commented
Mike turned to the door, "What are they still doing in there?" Mike questioned whilst staring at the door, Lucas got up from the couch "I don't know girls just like hanging out in bathrooms"
"Why?" Mike turned around to look at me, I got up and stood next to Lucas "Because sometimes you guys are boring" I remarked holding in my laughter, "We're not boring! They're just conspiring against me" Mike whispered
"That's what you're concerned about right now?" Will whispered to him, I furrowed my eyebrows and looked back at the door, "I'm not concerned about it!" Mike argued
"I thought it was already over" Will commented, I turned my head to them but kept quiet I didn't really want to get involved with this it would just be awkward
"It is over!" Mike whispered, "They're just taking a break, Mike clearly wants her back" Lucas stated, Mike elbowed him Lucas pulled a confused face at Mike
"It wasn't! You guys do realize we can still hear everything you're saying right?" Max yelled
"See!" Mike whispered to Lucas, There was a knock at the basement door "NOT NOW MOM!"
"Mike open the door!" A voice that was definitely not Karen, It was Nancy, Mike furrowed his eyebrows and walked up the steps and opened the door to reveal Nancy and Jonathon standing behind it, Mike questioned them and then let them in

Nancy started to explain everything that was going on to us and she knew that we knew what was going on, "Look at the body temperatures" She pointed the body temperature out, I was too far to look but I could guess it was bad "He likes it cold." Will muttered
"Okay so this crazy old woman who was eating fertilizer-
"Mrs Driscoll" Nancy corrected Mike, "Right yeah Mrs Driscoll what time as the attack?"
"Last night"
"Right, but what time last night?" Mike questioned "Around 9:00"
"You waited all night to call?" Jonathon asked Nancy, "I was waiting for the doctor to run some tests" Nancy answered, "You weren't there?" Will asked Jonathon in disbelief, "Well I'm here now aren't I?"
"Hallelujah! Um, so what time was your sauna test?" Nancy asked, we all answered with the same thing it was around 9 when we had done it, "Well that proves it that proves my theory!"
"She's flayed just like Billy" Mike stated, I furrowed my eyebrows how could there be more than one host? if there's more than one then surely there are others, right?
"Flayed?" Jonathon questioned, "The mind flayer he flays people, takes over their mind once they do that they basically become him" Mike told him
"If there are two people flayed then there's obviously more!" I exclaimed
"Heather. Billy was doing something to her, she was scared she was screaming bad screams." Eleven murmured, "What's a good scream?" Lucas questioned
"Max said-
"Doesn't matter." Max stopped her from saying anything else, I smirk to myself and stop myself from laughing, "I'm sorry, I'm lost who is Heather?" Nancy asked, "Lifeguard at the pool" Max stated, "Heather Holloway?" Eleven nodded, Nancy and Jonathon both looked at each other "Tom." they both breathed

Everybody got in but there were unfortunately no seats left so Mike and I had to go in the trunk, "Seriously?" Mike groaned, "I mean at least we won't be squashed in with everyone else" I sighed and we both walked to the back of the car
I opened the door and we both sat down, "Seatbelts" Nancy instructed, I turned to put my seatbelt on and so did everyone else, Nancy reversed out the driveway and knocked over all our bikes, I rolled my eyes and she started to play the song 'You spin me round (like a record)'
She turned the volume up and we all groaned as the obnoxious music was playing, Nobody could hear anything so Mike used this as a chance to try to talk to me, We ended up going back and forth whispering into each other's ears
We were talking for about five minutes about random stuff until Nancy lowered her music just for everyone to hear me and Mike's laughter, Eleven turned her head around and so did Max, me and Mike both quickly stopped laughing as soon as their eyes were on us
We eventually arrived at Tom's house and we all got out of the car, We walked up the pathway and Nancy rang the doorbell but not surprisingly there was no answer, They turned around to Look at Eleven stating that she should open it, The door swung open and we all stepped inside
"This is breaking and entering!" I whispered to Mike, "Not breaking, just entering" Mike smirked
"Tom?" Nancy called, "Heather? Jesus, it's freezing!"
We all crept into the living room, "Do you guys smell that?" Nancy asked, I sniffed the air and could smell chemicals and bleach, I pull a disgusted look as we all walked into the kitchen the smell became stronger
"Oh god more chemicals"
We walked over to the destroyed counter and Jonathon picked up a bottle of chemicals, "You think they're guzzling this shit?" Jonathon questioned
"Yeah either that or they just went on a hell of a cleaning spree" Nancy remarked
"But last year Will didn't eat chemicals, did you?" Max commented, "No, this is something new"
"Mr Clark, fifth grade posit, what happens when you mix chemicals together?" Will and Lucas answered Mike's question
"What if they're making something?" Mike said, "In themselves?" Max preached, "I mean come on if you drink this crap it'll kill you" Max commented
"Yeah if you're human" Lucas added, I took a glance at Will and exchanged looks with him, Nancy turned around and walked into the dining area and we all followed her
The dining table had food on it but it was hardly touched, Nancy walked towards the wine bottle on the floor and kneeled on the carpet and traced her fingers on a red stain "Blood."
I looked at the stain on the floor and the wine bottle next to it, "It's red wine silly" I gestured to the wine bottle, "I'm pretty sure it's blood, stupid" Lucas commented, "Well what's the wine bottle doing there?"
Lucas just shook his head, "Yesterday, Tom had a bandage on his forehead...he was attacked"
Nancy picked up the bottle that had a red stain on it, Now I thought that it was blood red wine wouldn't stain like that, there was a trail of blood and we all followed it without saying a word, Nancy opened the door and the other one leading to it
Jonathon kneeled down to the floor and saw a rope "They must have tied him, they must have taken him somewhere" Jonathon put the pieces together
"Mrs Driscoll, she kept saying I have to go back, What if the flaying is taking place somewhere else? There must be a place where all this started right? A source" Nancy spoke
"Somewhere he didn't want me to see." Eleven stated
"If we can find the source then maybe we can stop him or at least stop it from spreading or doing whatever the hell he's doing with those chemicals" Nancy told us
"How do we find it?" Eleven asked, "Mrs Driscoll if she wants to go back so badly why don't we let her?" Will answered, Nancy nodded
