*TIME SKIP - TWO YEARS AGO*
It was the last day of an almost perfect summer. It was beautifully sunny outside so Jude and I had decided to go to the beach. As we drove there I watched him, I watched how perfect his face was, how cute his smile was, I watched how he comfortingly put his hand on my thigh and I realised how lucky I was.
*Jude's POV*
As I drove I watched Annie, I watched how she scrunched her nose whenever she laughed, I watched how her eyes lighted up whenever a song she knew came on, I watched how her smile made me feel safe. I then realised that this woman was gonna be the mother of my kids.
We spent the full day acting like tourists, taking pictures of every little thing , buying unnecessary little charms from the gift shop this was the last day we'd have together for a while so we made sure to take advantage of it.
But I couldn't help but notice a look of anxiety on Annie's face. Something was up.
*Annie's POV*
We spent the day doing fun little activities but I couldn't help but feel anxious as I knew this would be the last day we'd have together for months.
The day came to and end and we decided to go watch the sunset. We sat on the beach with my head on his shoulder and his arm around me, we sat in silence for a while appreciating the sunset and each others company.
I started to fiddle with his hand, tracing the lines with my finger. 'What's up' he asked concerned. He knew I only did this when something was wrong.
'I-I think we should take a break' I said stuttering. 'What?' he said wondering if he had heard me correctly. 'We should take a break' I said clearer this time. 'Funny joke' he said sarcastically not amused. 'No I'm serious' I said turning to face him trying to keep myself together.
'What-why? what have I done?' he said confused trying to keep his cool. 'no, nothing ' I reassured him squeezing his hand. 'Its Just that' I said pausing trying to think of the best way to say it.
'Your going to be busy with football everyday and I'm gonna have uni'. 'So? we'll make it work like we always have' he said interrupting me. 'We? its been me Jude. My friends cant remember the last time I've hung out with them, you're rooms my second home at this point I've gave up a lot for you' I blurted not giving him a chance to respond.
'I don't want to be known as Jude's girlfriend for the rest of my life I wanna make a name for myself' I said. Jude sat in silence for a while contemplating what I'd just said. 'How long is this said break?' he asked in a calm tone. 'Until I'm ready' I said firmly. 'Well I'll be waiting' he said giving me a kiss on my forehead.
