Holding each other's hands
And holding fantasies in our heads.
You jokingly imagined us having a child
How you would teach him, or her, how to swim
And how I would tell you to be responsible.

And then kissed me under a sky full of stars
Now it's just a memory full of scars.
By the end of the night,
Everything vanished into the gleam of dawn
As if it never even existed
As if I was just a shadow, you left me behind
'Cause you lied to me under the stars
And now I'm holding a heart full of scars.
