I have come to the death bed,
My body is weak and eyes are red.
I have a family but I'm still alone,
In the darkness, in front of myself, I cry and groan.
There's nobody to hold this feeble hand; not even a single helping hand.
All that my kids want from me is my property and material wealth
There's not even one who questions me about my health.
Of course they will bequeath my property after I'm gone
But they shall not ingress any happiness out of it because money doesn't last long.
Today, I emancipate them; though they actually weren't bonded by any duty.
Experience teaches, one day, they will also learn
That happiness was never in what they were searching for it;
That true wealth lies in something very much different
And then, that day, they will feel penitent about how they are treating to me today.
It will be that day that my soul will reach heaven and feel sane
Because then I shall know that my effort in bringing them up hasn't gone in vain.
