third person pov
the winter came around faster than expected. hogsmeade visits were still going on however snape still refused to sign roslyns permission slip as he still held a grudge. roslyn couldn't exactly understand what the problem was but she knows her father well enough that his reasons are quite unreasonable none the less.
roslyn was currently in the library, halfway through a book. it was fictional of course, muggle and it was one hermione gave her last christmas. roslyn had accidentally left it in her dorm during the summer and never read it so, roslyn thought it was the perfect opportunity to read it now.
though, she was interrupted but someone she actually doesn't mind getting Inturupted by. that was harry potter. he seemed to have a smile on his face and he seemed more eager. he was just standing in front of the girl, and she looked up slowly.
she gave a smile and raised one of her eyebrows "harry?"
"rose" he said awkwardly, staring at her but this time struggling to hold eye contact. he swallowed "um, I was gonna ask you if you wanted to try sneak into hogsmeade with me?"
roslyn put her bookmark back in place and slowly closed the book "you're asking me to break the rules with you?"
"well yeah-" harry said and roslyn immediately got out her seat. she was excited, grinning ear to ear "of course I will. i mean, what have I been doing for the last two years?"
harry gave a sheepish face, looking down at his feet "fair enough"
roslyn smiled at the boy again, before suddenly being all excited again however she paused, pointing at him "oh, I do need to put my book away and get some stuff from my dorm to take."
"me too, I need to get the invisibility cloak and coat" harry nodded, thinking for a moment until he got an idea "how about I go get the cloak and I'll meet you out side of your common rooms so nobody sees you"
roslyn nodded, smiling as per usual "sounds like a plan, potter"

harry did just that, when she got out of the dorm, the girl had her hair pulled randomly in which she knew where the boy was. as the two had grown somewhat taller, the cloak was getting less and less room though they were lucky it was for a fully grown adult, typically a fully grown man so there was still a bit of space.
the two made it so far until the small court area in front of the school by a fountain. however their feet treading in the snow gave it away.
fred and george weasley were just in front of them, the two coming up towards them and hooking their arms. the pair dragged the two back to a small area inside with old wooden stairs.
the pair were pretty much groaning at the fact the twins decided to drag them back. the two set the other two by the stairs "come and join the big boys"
when the two took the cloak off they glared, roslyn frowning at them "quite sexist, don't ya think?"
the twins rolled their eyes, harry seemed to hiss at them "what are you doing?"
however the twins shushed him, passing harry a piece of well folded paper to which roslyn looked at beside harry. roslyn frowned "it's paper?"
harry also frowned "what's this rubbish?"
" 'what's this rubbish' he says" one of the twins said. it's particular hard to tell them apart "it's the secret to our success"
"it's a wrench giving it to you believe me but we've decided your needs are created than ours" the other weasley twin said before fred said to george "george, if you will"
finally roslyn understood who was who and george pulled out his wand, flicking it at the piece of paper "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."
he tapped the paper and ink began to arise on the piece of paper. it came slowly and the words and design start to appear, harry reading out what it said "'messrs moony, wormtail, padfoot and prongs are proud to present the marauders map'"
the two gaze up at the twins, george speaking with a nod "we owe them so much"
harry then opened on of the sides, the paper revealing exactly what they said, a map, however it was no ordinary map. it was one that moved, showing different places of hogwarts and people moving about the place.
roslyn widened her eyes "woah"
"hang on. this is hogwarts and that- no, is that really---?" harry was speaking in complete shock however the two twins cut the boy off "dumbledore."
"in his study."
"pacing."
"does that a lot."
"so you guys are saying this map shows--" roslyn was speaking however she also got cut off, giving a slight huff and slouching her shoulders at the boys who talked once again.
"everyone."
"where they are"
"what they're doing"
"of every minute"
"of every day!"
"brilliant!" harry said enthusiastically, grinning slightly because of how helpful it was. roslyn nodded with a smile "where did you even get it from?"
"nicked it from filches office of course. first year." fred said, his twin brother george carrying on "now there are seven secret passageways out of the castle."
"we'd recommend-" george said before the two boys complete the sentence in unison "-this one!"
"the one-eyed witch passageway." fred explained, looking at george who explained further "which will lead you straight to honeydukes."
"you better hurry though, filch is heading this way." fred said with wide eyes, george quickly adding on at the end "oh and you two don't forget. when you're done, just give it a tap and say 'mischief managed' other wise anyone can read it."

the two managed to sneak through the underground trail all the way to hogsmeade, taking the route to the underbelly of honeydukes.
the two lift up the tile above their heads, quickly dropping it as they see movement. they glance at each other, their stare holding. roslyn felt as if she was drowning in his eyes, and she happily would. it would be her favorite way to go if it was with him.
harry broke eye contact first, looking up and beginning to pull the tile away, roslyn helping afterwards. harry quickly pulled himself up with the cloak, then holding out a hand to help roslyn which she more than happily took, harry pulling her up.
she smiled at him in thanks, looking back down at the hole "it was rather stuffy in there, wasn't it?"
harry smirked slightly "tell me about it."
she then crouched down and pulled the tile back over the hole, making sure that evidence that they were here was gone. she stood back up and harry caught her eye again. she swallowed nervously and her lips formed into an awkward smile.
he gave one back before the pair walked over to the stairs, they were wooden and quite narrow with small boxes stacked up along the sides.
roslyn frowned, gazing at harry, whispering "seems rather small."
harry looked back at her, giving her a small smile and a reassuring nod "we'll managed."
harry then pulled the invisibility cloak over the two, and began to walk up the stairs. they knocked more that a few boxes over but they didn't worry about it too much.
when they got up the stairs, the walls were painted with a beautiful cyan colour and the sweets were all different colours. it was like a rainbow and roslyn couldn't help but stare in amazement at the colours and the happy feeling the place gave off.
while she watched the room light up, harry watched her. he just admired how happy and excited she was about the little things. the little things so little as colours. he wish he would be amazed by colours but he was. he was amazed at roslyn who was nothing but colours.
on the way out, harry stole two red lollys. one from neville and the other from someone else. they seemed rather confused as they watched their lollys leave the store floating but they didn't bother running after them. no one really seemed phased in the streets by them either.
roslyn just looked at harry and he looked at her back before the two started to laugh, they tried to shush each other however that only made them laugh more.
so, when the two found a corner they revealled themselves, still laughing of course. they just snickered and snorted, roslyn placing a hand on harry's arm "nevilles face was so confused"
he had the biggest smile on his face, one roslyn had not seen in a long time, she wanted to enjoy that smile she loved as she knew it wouldn't be around long "I know, and why was it so normal to see floating sweets?"
roslyn shook her head with a laugh, covering her mouth "I have no idea!"
they both knew it wasn't all that funny but they just couldn't help but laugh. roslyn laugh was more than contagious to harry and he loved to hear it and roslyn barely heard harry's laugh, that when on the rare occasions she did hear it, she cherished it, and if she could she'd play it on repeat, it would be her favorite sound to listen to.
