the class act

I was Teaching science class one I found out the kid did not know what the big dipper was none of them did at this point in time and i was wondering what the heck is wrong with these people. They did not know what the big difference was it was very easy to find out. I ended up telling them and explaining them as a spoon like shape Constellation or star pattern. When they wander they all scratch their hpads. I was wondering if these kids ever got any Got any good education from anyone at that point in time period as in my life I learned about the big dipper what are debacle over a dipper
