Erin Turner, Spencer Hastings, Aria Montgomery, Hanna Marin and Emily Fields' lives are all changed after their clique leader Alison DiLaurentis goes missing during a sleepover.
The five remaining girls forever believed that their secrets are safe for all time, but the absence of their best friend makes them drift apart from each other.
One year, the former group of friends consisting of Aria, Emily, Erin, Hanna and Spencer are forced to reunite with each other after Alison is discovered dead after being missing for a whole year.
Erin, Spencer, Emily, Hanna and Aria all begin to receive threating texts from someone named "A" who spills out their secrets that only Alison knew to terrorise them.
Knowing if their secrets are out, it will jeopardize them and their futures, the five former friends decide to team up with each other to figure out who is behind the mask.
