°•°• 𝔗hree long years as passed since jaelys along with the rogue prince , the sea snake , laenor and the whole of the velaryon army had armored up and sailed to their ongoing issue that has been a pain to them°•°•
°•°• three years since the taller girl left her family, her love to fight in a battle for her father and her home . it has been exhausting for all as it seems like these krab fighters never give up nor have they even thought of surrendering no matter how many times caraxes , seasmoke and midnight burnt them into nothing but crisp—they would always return in even more larger groups°•°•
°•°• and the velaryon soilders were tired and frustrated with this never ending threat , especially jaelys . now her along with her father , uncle and younger brother , who has grown into a handsome young man. laenor's usual childlike features has washed away and in came his strong and defined features°•°•
°•°• "this is all useless , no matter how hard we try defeating these creatures it seems as though they always crawl back" vaemond said with clear annoyance in his tone , jaelys rolled her eyes at the same old complaint her dearest uncle always brought up as if they all didn't know it already°•°•
°•°• "we're aware of that vaemond" corlys drawled giving his younger brother a look "we should've alerted the king of this before going face first into this battle" vaemond said with a small scoff°•°•

°•°• there flew caraxes blood red form near a hill as the rogue prince got off his dragon and made his way to where they gathered , an eased smile on his face "look who decided to join" laenor said with sarcasm in his tone rolling his eyes at the sight of the man who hasn't been here for a few days now , daemon chuckled simply winking back to the boy in return before turning to jaelys clamping his hand on her tense shoulder°•°•
°•°• "i have excellent news!" he smiled as his violet eyes sparkled, jaelys rose her brow for the man to continue "the dornish prince that this krab king asked his aid for ... caraxes and i took a little adventure to the dorn—lovely place by the way" the taller woman lifted her brows in surprise and amusement°•°•
°•°• "so me being the wonderful man that i am , thank you very much— i've negotiated with prince qoren personally to lay off his aid to this krab king yet he requested a favor in return" he looked to corlys , jaelys furrowed her brows looking to him in question "and what is this favor exactly?" asked jaelys°•°•
°•°• well my dearest hūra ōños" he grinned as the taller woman hummed shortly awaiting his answer "the dornish prince has requested the sea snake's daughters hand for his youngest son , but since jaelys is already betrothed to my neice ..." he trailed off as he knew they knew what he was about to say°•°•
°•°• jaelys let out a big sigh running her hands over her face tiredly, laenor's jaw dropped , vaemond looked uninterested and corlys simply looked to the sky for a moment before he glanced to the rogue prince . that ever so prideful smile still on his face°•°•
°•°• "laena i assume?" corlys said rubbing his temples , daemon clicked his tongue nodding his head "beautiful girl yes , surely a wonderful betrothed for the young dornish prince" jaelys muttered under her breathe before she looked to the man "if we weren't stuck in this tight situation, i would've strangled you for handing my baby sister off to this prince" she said lowly°•°•
°•°• "don't flatter me love , you are promised to my dear neice and my heart lays with your beautiful aunt" daemon smirked as the usual mischief shone in his eyes , laenor snorted as a few chuckles let loose around the once tense atmosphere . jaelys shook her head yet a small smile was on her lips°•°•
°•°• "we owe you our gratitude daemon" corlys said in thanks as he along with some soilders quickly came up with a plan to finally defeat their enemy as jaelys and daemon strolled away from them for a little breather°•°•
°•°• "my sister ... really daemon?" she expressed as they walked to her tent , daemon shrugged plopping down on the stool pouring him a cup of much needed ale "we were loosing men and no matter how much our dragons lay their fire onto them , they always come back—but with the dornish men who helped them now layed off ... we might have a chance at winning and finally going home" said the prince°•°•
°•°• jaelys stayed still for a moment , she knew he was right but she was to overprotective of her sister just for her to be handed off like some pawn "she's only six and ten" sighed the woman as she sat down on the other stool , the prince poured her a glass and handed it to her. jaelys jugged it down with no complaint°•°•
°•°• "the prince is merely two years older than her and he seemed decent enough , no need to fret" assured the prince°•°•
°•°• the two stayed still for a moment before jaelys voice was heard "you do know my mother and aunt will murder you if they hear of this" she glanced to the prince who hummed out a chuckle downing his beverage°•°•
°•°• "i'm sure my cousin shall understand—and as for your aunt ... i'd happily die by her hands" smirked the man , jaelys pulled a face as she snorted at the dream like look on his face "is the infamous rogue prince inloveee" she drawled out with a teasing smile°•°•
°•°• daemon laughed "speaking of love ... you and rhaenyra huh" he rose his brow as he had his own teasing smirk , jaelys chuckled glancing down to her lap as her mind went back to her love " way to change the subject from your obvious affection for my aunt" rolled the woman her eyes playfully°•°•
°•°• the prince smiled "last time i heard — that cunt of a hand's daughter seem to have grown love for you" jaelys sighed at the mention , ofcourse she knew that alicent liked her and she felt bad for not returning those feelings back because her heart has been taken by the pale haired girl she has loved since she was a mere youngling°•°•
°•°• "people cannot control their feelings sometimes , i mean she's a nice girl but..." she trailed off trying to find the right words , daemon glanced to her "she was not rhaenyra" said the man°•°•
°•°• jaelys hummed "sure she could be a wonderful friend but i get this feeling that she isn't as what she seems to show people" daemon inturn hummed in agreement "any hightower is untrustworthy and deceivers jaelys , just you wait and see" °•°•
