all are gender neutral unless stated otherwise, some are longer than others because of my lack of ideas (and also I was writing this while watching the smtown live so I got distracted)
chishiya:
doesn't care about new years, he was probably dragged into this by kuina, he sat at the roof of kuina's building with all their shared friends, including you, you weren't super close, but you were kuinas best friend, so he had to be yours as well
it was a minute away from new years, some people were drunk and singing along horriblely to the music around, some got ready to shoot off fireworks while the couples stayed close, you and chishiya were the only ones alone, you had a drink in hand as you slightly leaned over the ledge to watch the people on the ground
he walked over with his hands in his pockets, looking over at the fireworks and then turned to look to you, if he was being honest, he thought you were attractive, he'd never admit it out loud though
everyone began counting down from ten, as new years was ready, he tapped your shoulder and made you look at him, as everyone shouted zero, the fireworks went off and he kissed you, it was only a second but it felt like forever, he leaned away with a smirk as you stood frozen
no one else seemed to take notice, cheering or kissing their partners, you looked away with a smile on your face, and you didn't see it, but chishiya smiled too
urumi:
it was for the school's dance, you didn't have a partner but you came anyway because you helped with the decorations, urumi was in full makeup and a beautiful dress as you
wore a [outfit of your choice, suit or dress etc]
urumi notices you seemed to stray from everyone and took it upon herself to make your last night of 2022 memorable, she strolled over to you and grabbed your arm, giving you no time to protest
taking you to the dance floor, it was 11:57, enough time for one dance before the year ended, she placed your hands on her waist as she put her arms around your neck
you had a hard time following her rhythm, but she only giggled when you messed up, reassuring you she doesn't mind
the song came to a end and so did the year, all the students counting down and she looked towards
"happy new year, n/n!" she grabbed your head and made your lips meet, it was so sudden you had no time to process it as she broke the kiss and smiled at you, patting your shoulder and walking away to grab a drink
niragi:
it's his party, almost everyone is drunk and it hasn't even turned 12 yet, you were tipsy but sober enough to know what was going on, music was blasting and people were shouting, so you decided you need some air
you walked out to the balcony, breathing in the fresh air when someone else walked out, dark hair with a hair tie and piercings, no doubt the host of the party
he didn't speak, he only lit up a cigarette as he leaned against the wall, watching the fireworks, you moved your gaze away from him, and then he looked at you, he knew you, of course, a friend of one of his friends
you attempted small talk "the fireworks are pretty, aren't they?" niragi had no interest in them, he was interested in you, the way the colors exploded and looked on your skin
"mhm" he took a drag, continuing to look at you, you turned around and made eye contact, neither of you said a word until someone shouted from inside that it was 30 seconds away from the new year
niragi took another drag before throwing his cigarette and stepping on it, walking closer to you, the seconds went by faster, but it seemed like time slowed the closer you got to him
his hand landed on your cheek, caressing it as he leaned in, you half expected him to be rougher with the kiss, but it was slower than you thought, as fireworks exploded around you, it almost felt a scene in a drama, where the camera would rotate in slow motion
he pulled away but kept his forehead on yours, he tasted like alcohol and cigarettes, and if it was anyone else you would've thought it was gross, but something about niragi pulled you in
and he thought the same about you
kuina:

you've both had a mutual crush on each other, basically everyone knew, including you and kuina, but it was fun to flirt and tease each other for awhile
kuina already knew she was going to kiss you tonight, she had prepared everything and she was ready, you were dancing with ann while drinking a glass of wine, but someone bumped into you, causing you to spill it all over your shirt
it was white, and the wine was red, you sighed and hurriedly went to the bathroom in a attempt to clean it, even though it was nearly impossible without the right tools
kuina noticed and went to her bedroom, trying to find a shirt that would fit you, she eventually found a white shirt that kind of resembled your previous one, she found you in the bathrooms trying to rub the stain off with no success
"y/n? hey, you okay?" she got closer and placed the shirt on the counter
you nodded "I'm fine, it was just a accident, but this is never going to come out"
"I can go wash it, you can put this on for now" you nodded and began to take the shirt off, leaving you in just a bra in front of kuina
she got flustered and hurried to look away as you got dressed, with a tiny smirk, she coughed and went to place the shirt in the washer, when she got back it was almost 12am, you were still in the bathroom fixing your makeup
she walked in and stood there at the doorframe
"oh, kuina, can you help me with my lipstick? I keep smudging it" kuina knew you were very good at applying makeup, lipstick included, but she wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to be close to you
she took the handle from you and began to apply it slowly, you keep your eyes on her, making her slightly nervous, the others started to count down in the living room but the both of you paid no mind
the others cheered, seeming like the count ended, you leaned forward and kissed kuina, hands on either side of her face, she melted into the kiss, months of attraction and mutual pinning flowing into the kiss
it felt like hours went by the time you separated, breathing heavily, foreheads touching, her hand found yours, finally, she has you
arisu:
he didn't care about new years either, he much rather wanted to finish the event on his video game before it ended, his mic was on the entire game when you walked in his room with a horn in hand, counting down to the last seconcs of the year
he could hear his teammates start chanting too, and at 12 you honked the horn and pressed a firm kiss against his cheek, the noise was loud enough for his mic to pick up, and instantly the teasing began, you smiled and patted his head and left the room
usagi:
you sat on top of a mountain, there were some fireworks farther away but you could still see them, but the only thing you wanted to look at was usagi
tonight she was beautiful, she always is, but something about her was different today, maybe you were just feeling so much love, you hadn't spent a lot of time together recently, so being together right now is everything
she caught you staring and giggled "what are you looking at?"
"my beautiful girlfriend" she blushed "look at the fireworks, that's why we're here"
"but how can I when I have the most beautiful girl next to me?" she grabbed your hand and pulled you closer, sighing when she laid her head down on youe shoulder
"I love you, so much, you know that?" you kissed her forehead "I love you too"
when the clock turned to 12, she turned her head and gave you a sweet kiss, it will never matter how many times she's kissed you, each and every time will remain special, you will remain special in her heart
enji:
it was only him at his apartment, he doesn't care for parties, so he never went, staying in lonely silence at his place is what he wanted, but he didn't get that when you knocked on his door at exactly 12am
you had been together for a couple weeks now, and he still had no idea how he managed to date you
you leaned forward and pressed a gentle kiss against his lips, and brought up a bag of his favorite food
"happy new year, are you hungry?"
banda:

he never cares for holidays, but he loves to see you happy so he does celebrate with you, letting you drag him around and count down
"don't couples usually kiss on new year? did you do all of this just so you could kiss me?" he hugged your waist from behind
"it is a thing, but I do like to just celebrate! though I'll never say no to a kiss from you"
he hummed, glancing at the clock on the wall, it was almost 12, he smirkwd before grabbing your chin and lifting your head towards him
your lips met slowly at first, before turning faster and more desperate, with his tongue entering your mouth, your oxygen felt like it was being cut off, as his other hand placed itself on your neck, squeezing just enough to make you feel dizzy
you could hear the TV channel you were on celebrate as it hit 12, but banda didn't stop, instead moving his lips down to your neck, pressing soft kisses and nipping on your skin
the first hours of 2023 were spent well ;)
