dizzy, she feasted
chewed up his lungs and hastily swallowed
letting the metallic taste slide down her throat
she could not stop
whispered sweet lullabies
and held his head
covered in broken flesh and paint
acidic, she clenched her stomach
and tried her best not to choke
she told him she loved him
and told him goodnight
