That evening Mono ended up waking up a little bit early as it still looked like the sun wasn't about to set yet.
He couldn't stop thinking about the animatronics nor could he stop thinking about the missing nightgaurds he had read about in the newspaper. He had wondered what exactly happened too them.
Unable to get anymore sleep Mono got up and walked over to his desk turning on his laptop.
The missing children were on his mind as well but there was another thought that was bugging him that he didn't have much time to think about until he woke up.
The name of the guardian that was with them....
"Charlotte Emily.... Mom???" Mono thought.
He felt like that her name being the same might have only been a coincidence but something about it still bugged him. The last time he saw his mother she had said she had important government work to do and she would be gone awhile. They were still able to keep in touch however but he hadn't even seen her face in more than 10 years now. And from what he could hear she sounded fine also even stranger was she still sounded exactly the same everytime she called and if he recalled people's voices usually age over time as well.
As he was looking at the article about the missing children again being nearly identical to the article he found on the newspaper he proceeded to see if he could find an image or anything to go along with it. However nothing of the sort could be found. Which he found odd.
Only the names were there.
He looked away from the computer for a moment to think after giving up.
Ignore the fact that it's night outside the window...
"I wonder if dad had known anything...." Mono said slightly saddened as he looked at his photo.
The name Sebastion Emily was on the side of the photo as it showed the same man in his military uniform just like the other one with a younger Mono getting nuggied in the head by him.
"Wherever you are now dad I hope it's a better place than this..." Mono said to himself.
Suddenly the phone rang startling him out of his thoughts.
Mono then proceeded to pick it up.
"Hello?" He said.
"Hey honey.. I was just calling in to check on you... I hope I'm not interrupting anything?"
"Ah nah mom your fine I was just.... I was just uh.... thinking about some stuff is all." Mono said as he stood up and looked out the window.
"Hows the money situation? Do you still need some help?" She asked.
"Nah it's fine I got a job actually... a bit odd but I should have rent by the end of the month...." Mono said.
"Yay!!! I was worried you'd be in trouble. I'm proud of you." She said.
Mono was quiet for a moment as his mom suddenly fell silent as well not hearing his response.
"Is something else the matter?" She asked
"No it's just... I was wondering... will I get to see you again anytime soon?" Mono asked.
There was a long dead silence after he said that to which he started to wonder if she was still there.
"Mom?" He asked again.
"Huh!? Oh oh yeah sorry I um..... I was distracted for a moment." He heard her say.
"So will i get to see you again?" Mono repeated.
"Oooh.. I'm sorry hun you know how it goes already with my work I'm still required to stay put until they give the go ahead right now..." She said to which you sighed.
"I'm 22 now mom." Mono said.
"And you have become such a handsome young man~"
"Aaaah stop it..!!" Mono said as his mother giggled."
"I'd never asked this but..... what exactly is your job?" Mono asked her.
His mother suddenly seemed to go quiet again after that which was behavior Mono found very odd.
"I'm an inventor honey~ I design things that the government ask me to. But I'm afraid that's as much as I'm allowed to say without getting in trouble." She said in a higher voice than usual.
"Ah... I see... well that's cool.." Mono said.
"Well I just called to check in." She said.
"I'll have to go for now." She said.
"I love you mom...." Mono said.
Meanwhile in a dark room:
A figure holding a telephone with a robotic hand near one of the walls stood silent for a moment a small smile coming to its face.
"I love you to hun.." It said as it slowly hung the phone up.
There was a pause as the figure looked at both of her hands for a moment as the smile on her red lips faded into a sad longing frown.
She then looked up as she heard the music box lulluby outside of her room suddenly stop playing.
Back with Mono:
Mono put the phone down as he looked at the time again.
The clock said 9:30 pm
With nothing else to do he got back onto his laptop as he had another thought cross his mind.
"Afton robotics. Thats the company the newspaper talked about right? Don't they own the club?" He thought as he searched the term.
"A robotics company founded by a man named William Afton... I think I've heard of him in the news when I was little..." He said as he read.
"Oh shit the first place they opened was burned down!?" He said as he read.
"Damn... how did they go from a restaurant to a nightclub? Actually can I even call it that? Place has arcades.... meh it's in the name I suppose." Mono said.
Mono then paused as he looked at the time again after reading.
"I should probably head out now before it gets too late..." he thought as he remembered that he would need to take out the trash First before the shift started.
With that thought in mind he then proceeded to get his uniform on and head out the door.
A little bit Later:
Mono had arrived at the club much earlier than the night before this time as the front seemed to still be open.
As he got out he walked up to the front entrance and headed inside.
Just like the first time he entered he had to pause as the two pirate fox like animatronics near the inner entrance came to life scanning him up and down. He still would not be able to get used to that.
"Welcome back.... night guard~" one of the animatronics said to monos surprise..
"And we hope you continue to enjoy your time here~" the other one said as they both bowed as the door opened.
Mono proceeded to walk past them without a word as he wasn't expecting either of them to remember him much less know that he was the Nightgaurd.
"Is there some kind of system their going off of that I'm registered in now? Odd then why didnt Bonnie recognize I was the nightguard prior??...." he thought. As he walked inside.
There weren't a whole lot of people inside the building yet as he walked assuming that it was probably because they would be closing soon.
Mono paused as he heard a familiar synthetic singing voice coming from the stage as he turned and saw Freya on stage singing once again.
He had been mesmerized once again as he continued to watch her dance and sing on stage as he went and sat at the bar. He figured that it wouldn't be to much of an issue to listen for a bit since it had only just turned 10:30 pm
He paused as he felt a stare of some sort on him and turned flinching as he saw what looked like another animatronic standing not to far from him just... staring at him.
This was one he hadn't seen at all and it nearly scared the shit out of him as he didn't hear her approach at all nor did he see her anywhere else in the room after he came in either and he had been sure he'd looked all over.
What Mono found odd was the animatronic just continued to stare with a almost confused yet curious expression.
"Uuuh...." mono said getting a bit uncomfortable the longer it stared.
"Marie!!" Mono heard the voice of Henry say as the animatronic turned to him.
"Please return to the birthday room." Henry said as he approached.
Mono watched as without a word the animatronic followed the command and left the area.
"Your here early big guy." Henry said as he approached and sat at the bar.
"Uh yeah I actually came to prepare myself and such.... had planned to get the garbage before the shift started actually and figured I'd listen to Freya sing a bit since she still is." Mono responded as he watched the animatronic known as Marie dissappear around the corner.
"Uuuh... who was that and what was that about?" Mono asked..
"Ooh Marie's not really apart of the main cast.." Henry said.
"Shes usually in the birthday room for when we have a lucky customer come in." He said.
"I.... I see." Mono said.
"Well since your here I can go ahead and clock you in early for ya." Henry said.
"Ah you sure?" Mono said.
"Yeah it'll be fine. The company is already rolling in enough dough as it is heh...."
Mono looked back towards the stage watching Freya sing... it was weird... he knew that she was just an animatronic programmed to sing but a part of him felt like she was actually putting more than just her programming into it for how well she was doing.
Henry seeing this shook his head as he stood up.
"I'll leave you too it. And just like before make sure your in the office by 12:00 am... I'm sure you already know why by now.." he said as Mono nodded watching him go.
Mono then looked at his watch again as the time now read 10:59 pm before looking back up to the stage again to listen further.
What he hadn't expected was for her to be looking at him while she was finishing the last bit of the song she was singing.
Freya: hey boy~ ♪
why don't you~♪
come up and sway with me~ ♪
Can't you see that we could light up the night~ ♪
..... You and me~ ♪
We could be~ ♪
Such a sight~ ♪
Wuu oooh wuuu oooh~ ♪
Just let go~ ♪
This prompted Mono to look away after a few seconds as he stood up adjusting his security hat on his head professionally while also covering his grey eyes before proceeding to walk away.
As some of the crowd noticed her calling the nightguard out. To which they started to egg him on to get on stage with her making him blush more as he walked faster away from the scene.
Later Mono was now seen in one of the building supply closets organizing and cleaning a bunch of stuff since he didn't really have much else to do until 12:00 pm. He'd already taken out the trash so he figured he would just tidy a bunch of stuff up as he went around the building.
"The last nightguard really didn't give a shit about keeping things in order good god." Mono grumbled as he continued moving stuff around.
As he continued to clean he bumped into a shelf in the room he was in accidently.
"Ouch" he said as a clicking sound was suddenly heard.
When he looked up he paused confused as the shelf in the supply closet he was in had moved revealing what looked like a card reader.
However he looked around the wall seeing nothing else on it except for the card reader alone.
"What the hell??" He thought.
Eventually he paused to look at the time to see that it had hit 11:30 pm.
He then looked at the card reader one last time.
"Whatever that is will have to wait I geuss." He thought as he then pulled the shelf back to where It had been.
Mono then walked back out to the dance area to see if he had missed anything.
Everyone had already left the building along with Henry himself so it was just Mono now by himself.
He looked up at the stage to see Freya and the others standing completely still like the night prior.
"Gotta say really good singing out there Freya...." Mono said once again not expecting a response back.
"And you Missy gave me quiet the spook the other night but I know better now." He said again while looking towards bonnie.
As he spoke he paused as he noticed something.
From far away it wasn't extremely noticable but up close he had noticed how wrinkled and rugged freyas tophat was not only that but it seemed to have a few holes in it as well.
He then looked over to Bonnie seeing the guitar she was holding and also noticing that some of the strings on it had snapped.
"Jesus the least they could have done is keep their stuff replaced." Mono said as he looked at chica only to see how torn her apron was.
Mono sighed as he looked away. He didn't really like seeing things not being cared for properly. If they were supposed to be the nightclubs icon he'd have had a fit if he was the owner.
"Oh well I geuss." He said as he went back to the office noticing the time which read 11:50pm.
He then sat down at the desk in front of the computer again just watching the clock as the nervousness about the night started to set in again.
He hadn't need to clock in since Henry already took care of that earlier.
"Showtime...." he said as the clock hit 12:00 am.
Well yall here's another chapter. I don't have a lot to say this time except that I hope yall enjoy it.
Anyway it's almost 4 am here at the time I wrote this so goodnight everybody.
