The Beginning of the End

"Ah. I guess that's for the best." Zacharie uttered, shedding a single tear, and holding back the rest as to not lose his composure. The Batter stood watching Zacharie fall to his knees, beginning to choke and cough blood. Cold, and emotionless. The Batter's stare was never with feeling, of any kind. But most of all, not sympathy, nor love. He was a brisk man who only chose one objective in life and he didn't care for anyone, especially if they were only in his way. "I wish you would've visited more often, amigo." Zachary sputtered, then he caught his breath and spoke once more. "I have a special item for you, worth all the credits in the world." Zachary now fell over on his side, curled up. The Batter raised his voice slightly, "Now is not the time for you to try and sell me-"
"Nobody can simply buy this, Batter." Zacharie interrupted.
