Ynez returned the smile before nodding in response.
"Alright, as you say so. Then, shall we get started?" She stroked your hand once. It caught you off guard.
You quickly moved your hand away from hers, smiling sheepishly.
"Uh, yeah." You stood up from the wood stage stairs and fixed yourself. Ynez assisted you as you stepped down from it. To your defense, you tried refusing at first. But then, she insisted.
You didn't get to do anything anymore. As soon as you got down, you carefully glanced at Haewon's direction again — catching her huffing and her jaw clenching afterwards. She is now glaring at you with her cheeks flushing.
You can't hold eye contact with her anymore despite knowing that you've done nothing wrong. With the way that she was looking at you, you knew that you're doomed regardless of you doing anything wrong or not.
Shortly after meeting her gaze, you gulped nervously and looked everywhere else but her. It was until Ynez clapped twice, catching your attention along with your fellow members. She kept her hands clasped.
"So, everyone, have you watched the video that I sent in our group chat yesterday?
All of you answered yes in response which made Ynez smile.
"Good. I'm hoping that you all have familiarized yourselves with the steps, so that there'll be less difficulties. But then, if you haven't — there's no problem. Although I've memorized the choreography, I'll still say that we'll learn together." Ynez paused. "I've planned to dedicate this week for us to memorize the moves. By the end of this week, I will see to it that everyone is able to execute the moves correctly, at least. Then, the remaining days that we have until the day of the presentation would be used for the mastery of those moves and polishing everything. Does that sound good to everyone?"
Ynez looked across all of you. You all nodded in response.
"Great. Let's begin." Ynez walked towards her bag and took out her speaker from it. She set everything up before she stood in front of you and the rest of your groupmates.
"For today, we'll try to learn the intro until the second verse — well, hopefully; until the chorus. But then, if we failed to do so; it doesn't really matter. We have plenty of time to work on that. Don't think that I'm unwilling to adjust the time frame that I came up with. I just thought that it's better that we had something like that to keep us as organized as possible. And oh, don't hesitate to approach me if you're struggling with the steps. I'm more than willing enough to teach you."
"So, with the intro first..." Ynez walked right in front of you. She demonstrated the sequence that you should follow for the intro. Then, she proceeded to guide your hands to where they should be.
You locked eyes with Ynez. Your fellow members started to squeal.
That's when you swallowed hard. At the same time, beads of sweat started to form on your forehead out of nervousness.
You haven't told Haewon about this performance task yet.
You didn't have the chance to do so yesterday. Due to some circumstances, you didn't get to meet nor talk to her after classes. Yes, even through the phone.
You didn't think much of it, thinking that she had been really exhausted by the time that she got home. This is the likely occurrence whenever she does not contact you as the night comes, which you understand. After all, Haewon has a lot on her plate.
When Ynez moved away from you to teach your fellow members the movements for the intro and watch them perform them, you looked towards Haewon's direction. Your breath hitched upon finding out that she was walking towards you.
She had a blank expression on her face. But then, her now slightly flushed cheeks and clenched jaw gave her away. Upon recognizing that you've acknowledged her making her way to you, she looks you straight in the eyes. With that look on her eyes, you knew that you're doomed.
She stopped in front of you, leveling her lips to your right ear. "We need to talk."
She whispered those words raspily before quickly moving away. Meanwhile, you froze on your spot.
Haewon moved to Yura, tapping the latter's shoulder to call her attention. Your groupmates all gasped upon seeing Haewon. As for your girlfriend, she was unbothered by their reactions.
"Miss Jang, I hope that you won't mind me taking Y/N for a few moments. I just have to talk to her."
"Oh, not at all, miss president."
"Thank you." She flashed a fake smile towards Yura upon uttering those words. For other people, that might not be obvious.
But for you, you knew that her smile was ingenuine. The moment that Haewon turned her eyes back on you, you felt shivers run down your spine.

"I'm giving you an opportunity to explain yourself, Y/N." Haewon said firmly without looking at you as soon as you sat down on the chair in front of her desk in her mini office as the student council president.
She busied herself with rolling up the sleeves of her uniform top. Your mouth hangs open with the sight. When she was done, she shifted her gaze on you and raised a brow.
You get yourself together.
"Uhm, well– I'm supposed to tell you this yesterday. But then, I'm unable to talk with you for the rest of the day. So, we have this performance task in PE wherein we'll have to come up with a ballroom dance performance as that is what was assigned for us... and Ynez turned out to be my partner for it."
As you were speaking, Haewon was looking at you intensely while spinning her pen around her fingers intricately. After you finished speaking, she nodded.
"I'll be straight to the point here, Y/N. I don't like the way that Jang is acting around you." She started to trace your jawline with the use of the covered end of her pen as she spoke.
"I don't like the way that she is looking at you and touching you. I can see through her. I know that she is interested in you." She continued before putting her pen down and standing up.
She stood behind you, resting one hand on your shoulder then she used the other, particularly her thumb, to trace your lips.
"I know your struggles as a transferee, plus; I don't want to be that girlfriend who goes overboard 'cause of my jealousy. I wouldn't be asking you to find a different group, 'cause I know that wouldn't be easy for you. After all, I trust you. It is just her whom I don't trust. Just don't do anything that would lead her on, alright, Y/N?" She moved her hand away from your lips.
You stiffened upon feeling something tugging on the lobe of your right ear before sucking onto it. "If she still insists, I'll have to make my move. I'll have to show her that you're mine... and only mine. And oh, I'll have to show those who are finding the two of you fitting for each other that you are only for me, and not for anyone else."
