I see him telling my sister
he loves her.
His words sound sincere,
Like something I wasn't supposed to hear.
I never knew the words
"I love you"
could break my heart
until he used them as a weapon.
The words he says all the time
but never to me
Burns my skin,
third degree.
Did he forget that I'm also a part of this family?
he says he loves us equally
but I disagree because
Equality feels like
A lot less love for me.
