Elvira felt like she could get lost forever in those chocolate brown eyes she looked into, it felt like the wind was knocked from her lungs as she locked eyes with this Ajax person, and by the looks of it from him and his fast heartbeat he felt the same.
For Ajax it felt like his soul was complete like he could finally breathe properly the voice in his head singing that 'She was here right in front of him to him she was the most beautiful girl he laid eyes on he wanted her and he would have her
"Elvira" Enid's worried voice spoke breaking them from their staring contest "Sorry did you say something" Elvira asked as her eyes roamed the boy in front of her, she shivered feeling him do the same "Nope nothing" Enid said popping the 'p' smirking at them with a knowing smirk "I-I have to go" Elvira rushed out before she was gone in a blur
"Where'd she go" Ajax demanded his entire body feeling out of place now that Elvira wasn't in his eyesight "Probably her dorm" Enid answered, Ajax shook his head before looking at Wednesday again trying to shake the feeling from his body "Your in black and white, like a living Instagram filter" Ajax said sounding amazed
"Ignore him" Enid said pushing him away "Gorgons spend way too much time getting stoned" She said matter factly "Though I don't think that's gonna be a problem with Elvira here now" Enid said knowingly "You know it's a small school. There wasn't much online about you. You should really get an Insta Snapchat and TikTok" Enid suggested
"I find social media to be a soul-sucking void of meaningless affirmation" Wednesday replied before walking away from Enid who went to go find Elvira, Enid found Elvira in the school garden admiring the plants "So what was that with Ajax" Enid asked smiling
"I have no idea, I plan to call my Uncle and ask him about it later" Elvira answered turning to Enid holding her hand out "Wanna show me the rest of the school" She asked, Enid took her hand with a bright smile and spent the rest of the day showing her around.
"Ugh how Weems thought putting two polar opposites together was a good idea is beyond me" Elvira groaned later that night hearing Enid and Wednesday argue a few doors down, Yoko laughed before handing her earphones "No it's fine they stopped now" Elvira shook her head rejecting them getting a nod in return
"So Enid told me what happen between you and Ajax earlier" Yoko said wiggling her eyebrows, Elvira looked at Yoko weirdly "What did she say" Elvira asked "That you too couldn't stop looking at each other and when you left he demanded to know where you went" Yoko informed "That's not true" Elvira denied shaking her head getting up and grabbing a blood bag "Want one" She asked, Yoko nodded
"Hey Yoko can I ask you something" Elvira asked "Yes but after we are talking about Ajax you can't avoid it Ria" Yoko smiled "Ria" Elvira asked "It's your new nickname I made" Yoko shrugged "I like it anyways what do your Fangs look like" Elvira asked "If you don't mind me asking" She rushed out after, Yoko laughed before flashing her Fangs which looked like normal vampire Fangs "Nice" Elvira smile sipping some of her blood
"What about yours" Yoko asked Elvira opened her mouth running her tongue over her Fangs and blooded mouth
"Why's there an upside-down cross" She asked Elvira "I got it for my Uncle who I met when I went to LA you can't see it unless I have my fangs out though" Elvira explained smiling at the thought of that overgrown man child who she hadn't seen in a long time "What is he Satan" Yoko joked "Precisely" Elvira responded watching in amusement ask Yoko's jaw dropped "Seriously" She asked "Oh yea" Elvira nodded
A knock interrupted whatever Yoko was gonna say next "Hello" A red-headed lady said as she walked in with a flower in hand "Sorry to interrupt but I just wanted to introduce myself" The lady stated "I'm Ms.Thornhill your dorm mom and your Elvira right, I wanted to make sure you were settling in ok" She asked, the girl in question did nothing but look at the lady's red boots that had mud on them which was getting all over their floor "Oh apologies for the mud" Thornhill states looking down at her shoes too
"Anyways I brought you a present" She held out a blue star plant "Oh a blue star" Elvira nodded taking it from her and setting it on her desk, something about this lady unsettled her "Your familiar with it" Thornhill asked surprised "Yes they mean strength determination and" Elvira was cut off "Endurance, I take a point in matching the flowers to each of my girls" Thornhill smiled though it didn't reach her eyes
"Any questions" She asked "Uh no thank you I'm fine" She nodded just wanting to get the lady out of her room quickly "Ok a few house rules" Thronhill started "Lights off at 10, no loud music, and no boys ever" She listed Yoko snorted at the last one making Elvira purse her lips together so she wouldn't smile at Yoko
"And passes to Jericho are a privilege, not a right, there's a shuttle on the weekends or a 25-minute walk, The locals are wary about Nevermore so please don't make any waves or perpetuate any stereotypes" She informed Elvira nodded
"Well if there isn't anything else I'll be on my way" Thronhill smiled one more time before turning around and walking out "Oh she doesn't rub me right" Elvira shivered informing Yoko who nodded in agreement "That doesn't get you out of the conversation Ria" Yoko mused with a smirk
Elvira quickly downed her blood threw the bag in the trash and faked yawned "Oh would you look at the time, I'm so tired" She faked yawned again laying down "Fine we'll leave it for now but I want deets Ria" Yoko demanded before turning off the lights both girls soon succumbing to darkness
The next morning Elvira woke up before her alarm and decided to shower before drawing before the alarm went off. Drawing was one of the things that helped Elvira cope with being alone all the time.
While she couldn't make hers come alive like Xaviers or draw as well as Hope could she still liked to try and some would say they were amazing but Elvira never believed them since not even her parents thought they were good but she tried
"Morning Yoko" Elvira greeted not looking up from her drawing hearing her roommate's heartbeat change or well start, Yoko's heart was such an intriguing thing to Elvira, when awake it was as slow as a person dying or a person sleeping but when asleep Yoko's heart stops like she died "Morning Ria" Yoko yawned moving to the closet grabbing her clothes before disappearing into the bathroom
Using that time to get dressed Elvira opened their shared closed and pulled out a gray sports bra a black knitted top and a jacket over that paring it with black ripped jeans and gray Converse after that she brushed her hair and put it in two French braids stopping halfway and leaving the rest in a ponytail
"Why aren't you in uniform" Yoko asked walking out of the bathroom in hers "I don't have to" She smirked "Lucky" Yoko whined "Yoko does it look like I would be caught dead in that uniform" Elvira asked "Point taken, now come on we got class" Yoko stated "Go without me I gotta do something real quick" Elvira told her getting a nod in response before Yoko left
Walking down towards Enid's dorm she knocked and waited "Oh hi Wednesday" She greeted seeing the blank-faced teen instead of Enid "Hello" Wednesday greeted "Is Enid here" She asked "Enid has left for class, I am on my way would you like to accompany me" Wednesday asked "Uh sure, what class do you have" Elvira asked "Fencing" Wednesday answered monotonously, Elvira just nodded not knowing how to keep conversation with the deathly pale girl
Walking into the fencing room with Wednesday by her side one could see Elvira wasn't in uniform while Wednesday stood out in her all-black instead of white which Elvira couldn't blame her choice since white hurts her eyes as well.
She watched as all the pairs battled against each other before they stopped in front of Coach Elvira watching as a pair fenced and one fell "Coach Coach she tripped me" a boy complained whipping off his mask
"It was a clean strike Rowan" The coach told the boy in his heavy accent "Maybe if you whined less and practiced more you wouldn't suck" Bianca stated making Elvira glare at her she didn't have to be so rude maybe that's why Xavier broke up with her
"Seriously Coach when am I going to get some real competition" Bianca complained as Coach handed Rowan his glasses just looking at her boredly "Anyone else wanna challenge me" Bianca asked looking around, Elvira making eye contact with Xavier smirked about to step up but Wednesday spoke first "I do" Elvira raised her eyebrow
"Oh, you must be the psychopath they let in along with the family's disappointment" Bianca said looking between them Elvira glared at her making Bianca look away a little unnerved "And you must be the self-appointed Queen bee, interesting thing about bees. Pull out their stinger and they drop dead" Wednesday replied
"Or another Queen bee comes and kicks the other out mainly to the point of death" Elvira spoke smirking at the fear that crossed Bianca's eye "Ooh" Some fencers exclaimed as they stopped to watch the trio "Rowan doesn't need you to come to his defense he's not helpless he's lazy" Bianca told them
"Are we doing this or not" Wednesday asked tired of her games, Bianca gave a short nod Wednesday made her way opposite Bianca "En garde" After that the two were fencing, somehow during that Elvira found herself by Ajax's side "Hey Angel" Ajax greeted with a smirk that got bigger when he saw Elvira's blush "Hello snake boy" Elvira greeted back with a matching smirk
Looking at it Ajax felt his heart skip which Elvira heard and smiled at "Point to Wednesday" Coach spoke breaking them from their little bubble the duo looked to see Wednesday in a lunge position with her tip touching Bianca's throat "Who do you thinks gonna win" Elvira asked the Gorgon by her side "Wednesday for sure" He nodded confidently
"The score is even" Coach said before Elvira could retort, they watched as Wednesday whipped off her mask Bianca did the same with a wide smile "That first point was clearly beginners luck Let's finish this" Bianca spoke as they circled each other, Elvira scowled anyone could tell Wednesday was a good fencer and just cause Bianca got a point didn't mean anything
As if feeling her anger Ajax grabbed her hand and squeezed it "For the final point, I would like to invoke a military challenge" Wednesday spoke looking at the Coach "No masks no tips" Wednesday said standing next to the Coach "Ooh" all the fencers had now stopped what they were doing to watch
"Winner draws first blood" Wednesday finished Elvira smirked, and Bianca scoffed "It's your decision Bianca" The Coach told her, she shared looks with Wednesday before speaking "Let's see if you bleed in black and white" She said essentially agreeing to the challenge
The two soon began fighting and it was interesting, to say the least, and it got even more interesting when Wednesday did a no-hands cartwheel, she got Bianca to the ground before Bianca stood up and slashed her sword down and across effectively cutting Wednesday above her eyebrow and drawing first blood
Wednesday reached up and touched it in disbelief "Your face finally got that splash of color that it so desperately needed" Bianca chuckled after that Coach sent Wednesday to the nurses' office "Oh now it's my turn" Elvira smirked stepping away from Ajax who tried to reach for her
"Oh really" Bianca asked "Same challenge no mask no tips" Elvira spoke "You're not even wearing a uniform" Bianca stated "I don't have to, to defeat you" Elvira answered "Coach" Bianca asked "Your decision Bianca" He answered "Scared" Elvira taunted that's all it took for Bianca to swing at her
Going back and forth Elvira struggle a tiny bit she had to admit Bianca was a good opponent but not better than her, she thought cutting Bianca and two places "You see a worker can't defeat a Queen but another Queen can, she can also kill the other effectively ending their life" Elvira spoke watching Bianca holding her neck where the first cut was and her cheek were the other lied
"Let's get one thing straight Bianca, I am a Mikealson there is only room for one Queen at the top and you" Elvira paused looking at the girl "Have effectively been dethroned" She smirked at Bianca as Bianca glared at her. But this was her kingdom now and soon she'll need a king
