It was a beautiful day in Trollstopia, where all different kinds of trolls from different tribes. Funk, Rock, Country, Classical, Techno and Pop, where all 6 of them agreed to unite with each other after many, many years of isolation and separation. Everyone and everything is at peace and joy, after all, what’s the worst thing that could happen?
Poppy, the queen of Pop, skipping around, checking on how everyone is doing. Since Trollstopia is starting to become popular, more trolls started to come there, so around her were new faces or seeing faces she knows like Holly Darlin, Val Thundershock, Lownote Jones and more. Poppy was doing the usual, just being herself, with a bright smile on her face “Hey Pipsqueak!” A voice behind her said, Poppy turns around to see her friend and ambassador, it was Val “Oh hi Val! How are you?” The queen greeted “Doing great, hey, you want to hang out for a while?” Asked Val “How could I say no to that? Of course I will hang out with my BFF!” Poppy was overjoyed.
Poppy and Val knew each other for quite a while, they have been friends since the day they met. It was a bit hard but it worked out for them. They’ve been BFFs for a year now, the 2 later went to the ice cream stand to get ice cream to kill some time. “Oh did you know, your best friend. Queen Barb?” Val said while licking the ice cream “Yeah what about her?” Poppy looks at her BFF. “She sent this to me and it says to give this to you” Val said, she picked out a letter from her pocket and gave it to Poppy.
Poppy opened the letter, the letter is black, with red and white stitches, with a bit of pink glitter. The letter says
“Dear Poppy,
Hey bestie! Been a long time and no talk right?
Sorry if I haven’t been communicating with you for so long,
there’s a lot of queen duties and it’s stressing me out :(
BUT now that’s over, I’ve been thinking about visiting you!
I wanted to check out this Trollstopia thing, Val talked about it a lot!
And I want to be very honest with you, Trollstopia sounds awesome!
Also I’ll try my best to keep in touch with you kinda miss you <:) also
I added pink glitter to fit the vibe of the letter. Also might arrive today or tomorrow but who knows, see ya!”
“Your best friend, Queen Barb” After reading the letter, Poppy squealed and hopped in happiness “Oh my gosh! Val! Do you know what this means?” She said happily “No, what is it?” Val confusedly asks, Poppy has a big smile on her face and her eyes are filled with joy "It means Barb is coming here to visit!" She squealed in joy. “Yo Poppy!” Another voice came by, it was Synth, another friend of hers and ambassador!
“Trollex sent you a letter!” He said, giving Poppy a folded blue paper. She then opened it and starting read it
“Dear Poppy,
What’s up Queen of Pop!
I wanna visit Trollstopia, Synth sent me TONS of letters
about it, so I was thinking about staying there for a while.
Just for a few weeks. I’m kinda free today
and I hired someone to keep the raves going.
So I’ll meet you soon!

“2 letters and the 2 are from my friends coming to visit to spend time!! This day is the best!” Poppy again squealed and hugged the 2 letters, hopping around and giggling. “Oh! We should throw a surprise party for the 2! A welcome to Trollstopia party! We can add dark colors and neon colors for them!” Poppy chimed in, “And we can add color full lazers!” Synth added “And we can add bombs, to add the vibe of ROCK!” Val joined in.
“Sounds like a great idea, but you can do that later” A voice butted in, the 3 trolls looked behind their backs only to see, Queen Barb, standing behind them, with a warm smile on her face. “Was I too early, Pops?” She said, Poppy then ran towards her Rock troll friend, giving her a big hug, Barb put her arms around Poppy. “YOU’RE HERE!! I CAN’T BELIEVE IT!” Poppy cheerfully said “I’m so glad you’re here! Oh I, Val and my other friend here Synth” She said and pointed at the purple techno troll, who waved. “We're planning to throw a surprise welcome party!” Poppy whined “Woah for me? Nah no need for that, cuz the surprise welcome party is right in front of me, my best friend!” Barb said “Well not just you, there is another troll coming here” Poppy added.
“Oh really? Who?” The queen of rock asked “Well the king of the Techno trolls is coming to town!” Synth answered. Barb then froze after hearing the answer “You mean.. Trollex?... King Trollex?” She asked again “Yep, King Trollex!” The techno troll answered again. Barb yet again went cold, after hearing the name Trollex made her feel… strange. “Oh..” she muttered, “So about that party, why don’t we throw that for King Trollex!” Barb suggested “Barb, you’re a genius! We need to find a place to start the party, we need cupcakes, confetti”
“NEON LAZERS! BIG SPEAKERS!” Synth added “And what about bubbles? Y’know to fit the ocean vibe?” Barb suggest “Great idea! Bubbles!” Poppy said. While the 4 blabbered around, they were cut off by the rumbling on the ground, the 4 trolls started to look at each other in concern and confusion. Then suddenly something popped out of the water, loud techno music was playing, a big whale appeared out of the water and on top was a blue techno troll, it’s King Trollex, “WHAT’S UP TROLLS!” He excitedly raised both of his arms and flew down. “King Trollex! You came!” Poppy happily said heading over to Trollex, while Barb was just looking at the ground, Val was looking at her, confused.
“Yo Queen Poppy! How are ya?” Trollex asked “Oh I’m doing great, I and the others were planning for a party for you and Barb!” Poppy replied “Cool!- wait, Barb?” Trollex raised an eyebrow, when hearing Barb’s name “Yeah! She came here first!” Poppy said, grabbing Barb using her hair and then putting her arm on Barb’s shoulder.
Trollex and Barb stared at each other for a second “Oh.. Hello Barb..” Trollex said, looking at Barb with dead eyes, sternly and crossed his arms.“H-Heyy Trollex-” Barb started sweating in fear “So… How’s the reef?? The..uhh.. Your trolls?” Barb asked, trying to avoid the death stare but she only made the awkwardness vibe worse “I’m sorry what?” Trollex said, going forward a little “Oh- No no I mean the trolls, sorry I- I got lost, like caught off guard y’know? ehehe” Barb chuckled and apologized quickly. Trollex then nodded a little “Oh Popcorn, where are we gonna go?” Barb asked, ignoring Trollex “Oh we can go to the TrollsTopia Metroll Station or-” Poppy answered “Ok I’ll meet you guys there!” Barb said cutting off the pink troll before she finished
“Barb! Where are you going?” Poppy asked “I gotta go get something! I left something at the Angler Bus!” Barb said running to the bushes, “Barb wait!” Poppy tried to catch her attention but it’s too late. “I’ll follow her, I’ll meet you 3 in the station” Val said following Barb in the bushes.
[Heading to the Angler Bus]
Barb was running through the bushes and she found her Angler bus, the mouth open letting Barb in. Once she entered, she started to mutter. “YO BARB!” Val yelled from behind, Barb flinched but she calmed down “Yo you alright? You were letting out a massive awkward atmosphere back there. Did something happen?” Val asked her queen, her best friend, who was now sitting at the throne with her hands on her head “...Barb?” Val worriedly said, which let Barb grumble under her breath “shoot, shoot, shoot, shOOT!” Barb mumbled then yelled, which surprised Val, well she knows she screams out of excitement but not out of.. Panic
“WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO!? I DIDN’T KNOW KING TROLLEX WAS GONNA BE HERE!” Barb hysterically screamed, this made Val even more worried “Barb, Barb calm down, what’s wrong?” She asked, Barb took a moment and sighed “Remember those apologetic letters I made for the other leaders because of me and the world tour?” Barb stressfully asked and looked at Val, the pigtail troll nodded slowly “And y’know the tribe leaders forgave me right?” The queen asked again “Yes? Why?” Val answered and asked for a reason, Barb again sighed “I lied… all of them did forgive me but…King Trollex… he didn't forgive me, I didn’t receive any letter from him…” She frowned
“Oh.. But why?” Val asked, Barb looked at her with a “You know why” face, which left Val understand “But you have to do something! It’s gonna get really awkward between you 2!” Said Val, the queen stood up and said “I know! I know! But I don’t know how, I can’t convince him” she paced around for a little “Plus I tried to convince him that I can be a good person and I already changed but he still doesn’t, I did that 2 times!” Barb said, walking over her table, looking at it. Val stayed silent but then said “Oh why don’t we tell Poppy! Maybe she can help!” Val suggested, but Barb quickly turned the suggestion down “NO! We can’t let Poppy know! I don’t want her to get involved in my mess! Plus what if Trollex accused her for doing whatever I’m trying to do? Or what if she gets hurt because of me?” Barb paced around, angrily “Val… I already made a big mistake, by making world domination thinking it's right.. I hurt everyone during that time.. And now one of the tribe leaders didn't forgive me
…And it’s my mess.. Not yours, Poppy and King Trollex. I don't need help, so let me handle this” She said, calming down, this made Val frowned and worry "Val, don’t tell Poppy about this…. I’m not gonna make things complicated and worse…” She begged, Val thought for a while and sighed “Alright.. I’m doing this because you’re my best friend and I trusted you!” she said with a warm smile. Barb embraced Val, which Val hugged back. “Thank you, thank you Val! You are the best and you ROCK!!” Barb cheerfully said. Val looked at her best friend, who was happy, but she knows it's going to hurt her more.
“Now where are we going to meet Poppy again? The Meatroll Station?” She asked “No no Barb, it’s Metroll Station, c’mon I know the way” Val corrected her and led Barb going outside.
[At the TrollsTopia Metroll Station]
Poppy, Trollex and Synth were at the station, waiting for Val and Barb. “So how’s the Techno Reef doing?” Poppy asked Trollex “Oh the Reef is doing great!” He answered, “So how’s life treating you, Pops?” Trollex asked, “Well, treating me very well!” Poppy answered, Trollex then asked another question “Where does this train lead to?” he asked “Well it leads to all the locations of Trollstopia!” Poppy answered “Ohh, I see!” Trollex said, putting his hands on his hips.
Then sometroll was heading by their way, 3 trolls heard their footsteps, once they saw them clearly, it's a Country troll, with teal hair tied to a big ponytail and orange skin, it was, Holly Darlin! “Howdy Poppy! How are ya? What brings you here?” She asked, smiling “Hi Holly, I’m doing awesome! Because 2 of my friends came here to visit Trollstopia! Isn’t that amazing!” Poppy excitedly said “Oh speaking of friends, this guy over here is King Trollex of the Techno Trolls!” Poppy then dragged Trollex in front of Holly, he was caught off guard “Oh- What’s up!” He said “Oooo never seen such a cutie pie here! Wait..” Holly paused and looked at Synth and Trollex a couple of times.
“Now hold on a minute y’all, this question might sound weird but is Synth your twin brother?” Holly asked, pointing at Trollex and Synth “Oh yeah! He is, I forgot to mention that. Trollstopia has been on my mind lately.” Trollex chuckled. This shook the other 2 trolls "Huh, I see why you 2 look the same. I thought you're a clone or something" Holly chuckled "Wait, doesn't that make Synth a prince?" Poppy asked "Yeah? Wait, he didn't mention that to you guys?" Trollex questioned after confirming them "No I don't think he did? But that's ok, maybe he's too shy to say it?" Poppy said "Or he forgot about it" Holly added " he somewhat lt forgot about it, I would say both,it's not a big problem" Trollex replied
"Yo Poppy, Lex! Oh hello Holly. Val and Poppy's other friend are coming here!" Synth yelled, pointing at 2 trolls coming in their direction. "We're here!" Val said, catching air "Great! You guys are right on time!" Poppy said. Then a caterpillar train came by, Barb and Trollex were in awe when they saw it."Cool train Popsicle" Barb complimented, Poppy smiled as a repiled. “Alright Poppy, I’ll see you later!” Holly said, waving goodbye, “Wait Holly! I got something to say!”
Poppy said, stopping Holly. The pink troll whispered to her ear then whispered. The orange troll nodded and ran off.
The trolls went inside the train and then it started.
Poppy then led Barb and Trollex to the near open window and seat, where they could see the outside and sit. “Oh did you guys see one of the locations in Trollstopia?” Poppy asked the 2 “No I hadn’t see’em” Barb answered, while Trollex shook his head. “Well then get ready because we are now passing to the amazing places of Trollstopia!” She said, Barb and Trollex watched from their windows in awe. Once the train leaves Pop Village, it later enters a place that has cave-like areas and then a stage with the Rock Troll hand gesture. “Welcome to Rock Hollow!” Poppy said, patting Barb’s shoulder.
“DUDE! I LIKE HOW YOU DID IT! IT REALLY GIVES OFF THE ROCK VIBES! You really know about the Rock trolls taste” Barb exclaimed, “Well technically, it was Val, so you should thank her” Poppy chuckled, Val then walked up to the 2 and said “Hey, it was your idea about the Trollstopia AND the location Rock Hollow, so Barb should also thank you too” Val patted Poppy and put her arm on her shoulder, the 3 chuckled. Then they went up to the hill, which revealed itself to be a giant flower similar to an orchard. “Well Trollzart will be surprised if he sees this” Trollex said with a smile “I’m sure he will! This place is called Classical Crest” Poppy agreed.
Then the train went down through a glass tunnel, going underwater, revealing lots of LED lights then seeing a giant heart-like structure making music. “Woah wait is this?” Trollex tried to ask but before he could say anything, Synth popped up and put his arm on his shoulder “Yep brother! It’s Techno Lagoon!” He enthusiastically said “Hah! You did a great job, Synth!” Trollex then hugged the purple techno troll. “Really fits techno-y vibe eh?” Barb joined the conversation, Synth nodded but Trollex just looked at her and rolled his eyes, Barb looked away, pretending nothing happened. Then and back up to the surface, showing a place, that homes that are like cacti “And this here is Country Corral!” Poppy said. Then going back to Pop Village.
“Wow, the whole ride was awesome!” said Barb, who was surprised by the places in Trollstopia “Really love how you and the others did it!” She added. Poppy smiled “Thank you Barb! I knew you would love it!” She thanked her. When they were about to leave the train, suddenly a group of trolls appeared before them.
“SURPRISE AND WELCOME QUEEN BARB AND KIND TROLLEX!” They all yell in joy. Confettis and glitter came out of the air, falling down like leaves, some the trolls are raising their arms in excitement. Barb and Trollex were surprised and happy, then the crowd came to the 2, greeting them. While the 2 were busy with the trolls, Poppy went up to Holly, who was just farther away from the crowd. “Thanks Holly!” She said “No problem Poppy!” Holly replied, then Val suddenly joined “Yo, might if I join in with you 2?” She asked, “Sure Vally!” Holly approved “Y’know I really miss them, despite what Barb had done, I’m glad all of the tribe leaders forgave her” Poppy said. “Yeah… I’m glad” Val said with a smile then frowned, but not letting Poppy notice it. “Now what other ideas should I think of…” Poppy muttered “Oh how about you guys do a sleepover! If the 2 wanted to” Holly suggested “Great idea Holly! I’ll be right back!” Poppy then walked to the crowd, leaving the other 2 trolls. While the King techno troll and Queen rock troll are greeting the crowd, that is now getting lesser. Poppy walked up to them “Hey guys! Soo how was it?” She asked, “It was cool Pops! Say did you even KNOW that I was coming here? Like you are advanced at everything!” Trollex joked at the question. “Well I have my ways and I’m glad you guys enjoyed it!” Poppy was satisfied by the response.
“And I’ve been thinking, how about we do a little sleepover! Like combing each other's hair and talking and doing other sleepover activities! What do you guys say? It’s ok if you 2 don’t” Poppy asked “Are you kidding? Of course I would join! I can’t disappoint my best friend!” Barb replied, showing a warm smile. “What about you Trollex?” Poppy asked, looking at Trollex, he thought for a while then said “Well a sleepover wouldn’t be harmless, the king is in!” He nodded and raised his hands in the air, Poppy squealed in joy “Great! Now bring the stuff you need for the sleepover, I’ll meet you guys here, I’ll be preparing my ideas for the sleepover! Cya!” Poppy said and left, the other 2 waved goodbye. Barb looked at Trollex, she opened her mouth but she just shut it and went away.
Trollex noticed it, he rather not bother her, then went to the same spot where he made an entrance, at the lake. He realized he only has a few things, which is good for the sleepover but honestly deep inside of him, he doesn’t want to join the sleepover because of Queen Barb. But Poppy showed him an awesome view of Trollstopia and what it looks like. So he has no choice but to accept it. He doesn’t want to make his friend unhappy.
[In Poppy’s pod]
It’s now sunset, the indigo sky taking over the orange sky, the moon rising.
“Welcome to my pod! My sweet home!” Poppy said, they got inside the part of the hole. Once they entered, the pod closed “Huh nice, home, Pops. It’s pink and FULL of pink” Barb said looking around Poppy’s pod “I know right! It fits me doesn’t it?” Poppy replied “Oh Trollex! I bought a tank for you to sleep in!” She added
“Aw thanks Pops. So what are we going to do now?” Trollex asked after thanking. “Glad you asked, buddy!” Poppy said, who went to her drawer and showed the 2 friends a scrapbook. “Trollex, Barb, I present you, THE SLEEPOVER ACTIVITIES! For Trollex, Barb and Poppy!” She exclaimed, then opened the scrapbook, showing themselves doing activities. “Ok so we have. Mini photoshoot, make our own night snacks, make best friends bracelets, flower crowns, we can do karaoke, fun board games, we can make our own forts using pillows and blankets, truth or dare, ooo even braiding our hairs!!” Poppy gleefully said showing each page of different activities “And then lastly heart-to-heart talks! Isn’t that fun!” She closed the scrapbook with a smile.
“Pops, I have to be honest..” Trollex said “This sounds like a party!” He said, showing 2 air horns and it blew off loud noises, making both the girls cover their ears, but it was short. “That’s right Trollex! A party!” Poppy said, who’s now not covering her ears “Popper, you have the awesome ideas, I love the ideas in the scrapbook of yours!” Trollex complemented, “Glad you love it Lexi, what about you Barbie?” Poppy thanked Trollex and asked Barb. “Well.. Your ideas aren’t bad Pipsqueak, I’m.. kinda glad to join the sleepover!” Barb uneasily agreed, but luckily Poppy didn’t notice and then received a big hug from Poppy. "Oh is it ok if I call you Lexi, Trollex?" Poppy asked, receiving a nod from him.
“Ok ok so which activities should we be doing?” The pink troll asked “Maybe we should try… hmm..” Barb thought “Oh how about we do Best friends bracelets!” Poppy picked. “Err… sure Pops! Sounds good!” Barb nervously said “Yes! I’ll be back! I'll find some beads and strings!” Poppy said and went to her drawers looking for the items. While Barb, who was getting uneasy, because Trollex is near her, is now getting more awkward and not telling Poppy anything about the fact that the king didn’t forgive her. But she had to suck it in, if she doesn’t, she’ll only make things worse.
Trollex was also feeling uneasy, the fact that the queen of rock is next to him, knowing that she’s ignoring him and silent, maybe he scared her too much. Anyway, Poppy came back with 2 jars of beads, 1 has letter beads, the other has colorful shapes and has elastic strings.
The 3 then started making their own bracelets, it was short but worth it for Poppy. Poppy made 2 bracelets with pink, yellow, white and turquoise beads, the pink and white beads are crystal beads, the yellows are roses and turquoise are shaped like apples and 1 letter bead in each bracelet. “B” and “T”.
“Nicely done Poppy!” Trollex complemented, “Thanks Lexi, oh the letter “T” and “B” on the bracelets are the 1st letters of your names!” Poppy added and gave the 2 friendship bracelets, “And here’s what I made!” Barb showed 1 bracelet with red rose beads, black and brown heart beads and white stars, with the letter “P”. “And mine!” Trollex showed his, it has blue, green and purple crystal beads and raindrop beads, yellow and orange stars and pink and red hearts, in other words, colorful, with of course the letter “P”. “Aww thank you guys! These are so cute and colorful! Why can’t you guys make 1 more for the 2 of you?” Poppy asked after she wore the 2 bracelets given by Barb and Trollex.
Barb and Trollex, their faces sunk, they stayed silent. Trollex started fidgeting his hands. Barb was looking for a reason. “Well.. you see, uh.. We don’t know each other yet- I mean I know him a little, but not fully??” She reasoned, Trollex nodded, with an agreeing smile. “Oh I see..” She muttered, the 2 calmed down “I have an idea!” Poppy chimed. The 2 trolls looked in disbelief, Poppy didn’t notice “I help you guys to get to know each other! Starting tomorrow and using one of the sleepover activities!” She cheerfully said, each word was thrown like arrows to Trollex and Barb. Trollex was kind of shocked that Poppy said that, does she know that he didn’t forgive Barb?
“Ahaha.. Good idea Pops! Ehehe…” Barb chuckled, thumbs up fro her pink friend “Now we can do other activities, that’ll get you guys close-”
“Oh heyyy what’s the time? I think it’s getting late! We should get some sleep y’know” Barb interrupted and got up, preparing her mat. “I’ll go to the tank, I feel sleepy” Trollex said, now heading to his tank. “Oh uh sure? I guess we can do the activities tomorrow and once we achieve it. We can be the best of besties!” Poppy said heading to her mat. Once they were all prepared to sleep, they said goodnight.
Although Barb isn’t ready for tomorrow, she can’t just be friends with a troll who didn’t forgive her. It's uncomfortable but she can’t tell Poppy. Poppy can fix everything but she can’t fix this if she knows, so she just needs to keep quiet about this, she’ll need to figure it out and find a way before Poppy figures it out.
