BOOM! the thunder grew louder
"V-Val can you come watch Georgie while he plays in the rain with his paper boat...over"
"Why can't you? Over"
"I'm s-sick over"
"I can't either I'm grounded...over"
"N-n-never mind then over"
"Tell Georgie to be safe!"
There was silence for a second
"Over"
The silence grew louder then she thought he turned the walky-talky off

The next day was a terrible day she found out Georgie was missing she went to the bathroom stall all first period and cried .
When the end of the day was only 3 minutes away she was glad . Valerie and Ryan had planned to go to the park after school.

Valerie rushed out of the classroom and found Ryan
"I heard what happened with Georgie I'm sorry."
"It's fine Ryan but let's split up on our way to go to the park to see who's shortcut is faster"
"Fine but the loser has to pay ten bucks to the winner"

The girls stopped on their way to the park at the pharmacy Valerie should not have been scared but she was the whole Keene family hated her except for ryan.
The girls walked into the store laughing at some random thing and they made their way to the snacks
"Well well well if it isn't the fag my sister hangs out with ." Said heather
"Shit"Valerie mumbled
"Leave Valerie alone ." Snapped Ryan
"Fine but only because dad is watching."
Valerie and Ryan made their way to the counter and paid
Ryan got on her bike and Valerie got on her skateboard
"Ready to lose val"
"Are you ready for me to win"
"3...2..1 GO!"
The two girls went there separate ways and Valerie had won. At least 20 minutes had past and still Ryan had not showed up
Valerie left the park and went through Ryans shortcut she still could not find Ryan
Valerie went home and an hour later the phone rang
"Valerie it's for you!" Her mom yelled
"Coming!"
"Yes?"
"Have you seen Ryan, heather said you were the last to see her." She knew that voice it was mr.Keene
"No after we left your store we split up to see who would be faster."
Me.Keene hung up the phone
Valerie only made it up half of the stairs before she bursted out sobbing she bumped into Richie on her way upstairs.
"Val are you okay?"richie asked
Valerie slammed her bedroom door
"Why me why me why me WHY ME." Valerie started crying even louder
"It's all MY fault Ryan and Georgie are missing."
