"We should leave. It's safer that way. Bella was always in danger with us and what happened last night further proves that point." Edward paced the living room.
Esme frowned. She really didn't want to leave. She was also very worried for her son, he'd been in his room ever since and won't talk to anyone. Not even Fe-Fe.
"See if you can get him out here, Fe-Fe." Esme spoke softly.
"He can hear us from up there you know. He still won't come down." Rosalie reasoned.
"I could still try... I want him back. Even though it's only been a day if feels as if it's been forever."
Jasper was in fact listening in on them. He was grateful that they were worried for him, and he felt bad about ignoring his wife, but he felt like a monster. He felt more inhuman than he already was. And by isolating himself was his punishment. He wished he could use his gift on himself, he really did.
Ophelia walked up the steps to their shared room hoping he would at least look at her. She knew he felt horrible and ashamed, but she wanted him to get back to normal. She missed her Jasper.
She knocked on the door softly, "Jas?" No answer. "Jas, can I please come in?" He didn't answer so she decided she'd come in anyway. He was curled up in a ball on their bed petting Luna, staring at nothing in particular.
"My love, please talk to me." She pleaded. "Please." She whispered, looking down to the floor sadly. He moved his head in her direction.
"My love. It's okay." She walked slowly to the bed and sat down. Slowly reaching her hand out, she moved the hair out of his face and ran her hand through his golden locks.
"No. It's not. I almost killed her. Edward hates at me, so does everyone else. So do you." His voice broke when he said the last sentence.
"No no no no no no. I could never my love I could never hate you." She informed him.
"I don't need your false affirmations." He snapped.
"I'm not lying! Feel my emotions. Pay attention to me." He looked her in the eyes, his all black eyes going back to their normal normal gold hue. He grabbed her and gave her a huge hug. Cracks even forming on her arms.
