Louis's POV
"For God's sake" I muttered as I turned over. I checked the time on my phone, 1:06am, not too bad. Harry was fast asleep and he's little snores were cute but right now I needed some silence.
I've had trouble falling asleep for about a week now, only gotten like 1-3hours sleep per night (a/n: hmm sounds familiar). I nudged Harry a little trying not to wake him up too much, I just wanted the cute snores to stop.
I turned over again and closed my eyes, in hope of falling asleep soon. "1, 2, 3, 4..." I started counting in my head, it was the most boring thing I'd come up with so I thaught it was gonna send my brain to sleep. I felt tired but why can't I fall asleep?
I checked the time again, 1:34am. Why is it going so slow? Ugh. "Fuck it" I muttered as I got up and went downstairs. I put on sweatpants and a jumper and went outside just for a quick moment to breath some fresh air.
About 10 minutes later I went to make a cup of tea and after that went back to bed, I was happy to see Harry was still asleep, he usually got grumpy if I woke him up in the middle of the night.
I took of my clothes and got back in bed next to Harry, I gently kissed his forhead and then laid back down. Finally...I fell asleep.
Until...I woke up again. I thought it was morning, well I checked the time and it was 3:01am. "Oh c'mon" I almost wanted to cry. I was so tired but still had trouble falling asleep.
When I finally, an hour later fell asleep it felt like I was woken up a second later. I heard someone say something but I was too tired and only turned over and put the duvet over my head. "Fuck off".
"Louuu, I've made breakfast" apparently it was Harry. "Just 5 more minutes" I mumbled sleepily, still not completely awake.
Harry's POV
"But- *sigh* alright, sleep then love". I immediately could tell something was off with Louis, he never tells me to fuck off but then again, lately he's been a bit grumpy so maybe he's just tired.
I had made breakfast for him but he only wants to sleep. Time was nearing 10am and we usually eat breakfast aroud 9 a'clock.
I sat down at the table and sighed. I had made him cute sandwiched formed like hearts, I had also decorated the table and made sure nothing of Louis's favourite food items were missing.
Not too many minutes after I notice Louis sleepily coming downstairs. "Hey baby, are you okay? You've seemed tired lately" I told him. "Morning, I'm fine" Louis said, sounding annoyed. "Lou I didn't-".
Louis's POV
Oh nooo, I've just made Harry sad, I could tell by his eyes. And then I saw the table, he is so cute.
"Haz I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you. Sorry, love, I just slept a bit bad" I said as I pecked his cheek. "That's so beautiful thank you" I added gesturing towards the table.
"Spent 1 hour making it perfect for you" Harry said. Now I felt even worse. "It's more than perfect" I replied as we sat down. We ate a little while in comfortable silence.
"Do we have work tomorrow?" I inquired, forgetting so much lately. "Yeah, we do," Harry said as he put his fork down and looked at me concernedly. "What?"
"We have 2 interviews in the morning, 1 photo shoot at lunch time and a concert on the evening...plus a soundcheck" Harry said and I felt a pressure in my chest, that was a lot and I was anxiousl of how much sleep I was going to get tonight. I can't go to work half sleeping.
"You alright?" He asked. "Yeha of course. I just got lost in thouhhts for a second there" I answered. We continued eating and when we were finished I offered to clean up the rest.
~time skip~
"Good night love, remember you can wake me up if you need me" Harry said as he gave a kiss and we started sleeping. Well he started, I tried.
I felt so tired and I thought that I had fallen asleep already (a/n: yes it's possible, it has happened to me) but then I heard a little noise coming from outside that nnocked me out of falling asleep. I turned around, and again and again but still couldn't fall asleep.
This time I just gave up, I took my phone and scrolled through twitter. When I felt sleepy again an hour later I decided to try again. No use. I was so tired but my brain wasn't. I was frustrated.
I was so frustrated by now that I just gave up and started crying.
Harry's POV
I was woken up in the middle of the night by cries of someone. "Hey hey, why are you crying love?" I asked as soon as I realised it was Louis.
He didn't respond anything, he just threw his arms around me and sobbed onto my chest. "Baby, was it a nightmare? Tell me what's wrong" I said as I rubbed his back comfortingly.
"I-...I can't s- sleep" he replied between sobs. "Awh Boo, you should have woken me up earlier" I said and kissed his head. "I'll help you ok?"
Louis nodded and let me cuddle him to sleep and I made sure he was asleep before I went to sleep. The only problem was that I hadn't checked the time and not even half an hour later the alarm on my phone went off. Fuck, we have to go to work. Poor Louis.
"Baby I'm sorry, we have to get ready for work" I stroked his cheek gently. It broke my heart to have to wake him up knowing he got very little sleep last night. "Mhmm" he mumbled in response. "Lou, I'm so sorry but we really have to. If I could I'd make sure you get to stay home but as you know how our management is..." I explained. "Okay okay I'm coming" Louis said as he got up and went to the bath room.

Louis's POV
"Hey" someone said as they nudged my shoulder a little. I was about to fall asleep during the second interview. "Oh sorry" I muttered.
Just about everything bothered me today, sounds, lights, people, just life. I was exhausted and hadn't had much sleep all week.
"Are you joining us for lunch?" Liam asked. "We're going to Nando's" Niall chimed in. "C'mon, it'll be fun, please" Zayn pleaded.
"No. I'm sorry, I'll just stay here. You can go eat. Bye" I said, I probably sounded like I was annoyed by them and in a way I was but it wasn't their fault. And in reality all I wanted was a good night sleep.
"Lou, I can stay with you if you want. But you should eat something" Harry said. "No, just go, please" I said, I just needed some time for myself right now.
As the boys had left I slumped into the couch in the lounge area. "I'm so tired" I said to myself, kind of begging my body to let me sleep. I closed my eyes and finally fell asleep.
Until...
"Wake up Louis. We have work" a familiar voice said. I opened my eyes and saw Paul. "Can't i just fucking sleep for one minute" I raised my voice. "Hey, no need to be grumpy. We have a photo shoot timed for 14pm and it's 13:56pm so get up, the boys are waiting" Paul said.
I let out a little groan as I got up from the couch and dragged myself to the photo shoot. "Where have you been?" Liam asked, I could see a glint of worry in his eyes. "Just chilling, forgot to track time. Sorry" I replied and then the photo shoot began.
~time skip~
"Ugh, such a day" I said as I threw my jacket to the floor and immediately ran upstairs to get to bed. "But-" was all I could hear Harry say.
Harry's POV
I was becoming a little worried of Louis. He's been acting strange lately but today was the worst.
I picked up his jacket and put it on the hanger next to mine. Then I made a sandwich for Louis and went upstairs to give it for him.
"Hey, you haven't eaten anything today. Please eat this" I said as I handed him it. "Oh Harry, thank you. I'm sorry for being such a jerk lately. I'm just so tired" Louis responded as he gratefully accepted the sandwhich.
"It's okay Lou, I'll help you sleep tonight, okay? And luckily we don't have work tonorrow so I'll make sure you sleep a lot" I told him. "Now eat love".
After Louis had eaten we got us ready to get to bed. "Come here Lou" I said as I took him into a cuddle. "Let's try to sleep now, if you can't, you tell me, ok?" I said and he nodded. "Thank you Hazza".
We closed our eyes and started sleeping.
Louis's POV
I felt safe. Harry was my home, my safe place. Now I felt so much better as he knew about my sleeping problems.
"Haz? You awake?" I asked after a while. "Yeah, you ok? Can't sleep?" He asked softly. "Not really. I'm sorry" I answered. "Hey, it's okay. Don't apologize. Look I have this if you want, just a second" Harry said as he put on the light on his night stand and searched through a little toilet bag that he had nearby. "Here's a 1.5mg melatonin, it should help you fall asleep" He said as he handed me it and then went to make a glass of water for me.
"Thank you Harry. I appreciate this so much" I told him as I swalloed the pill. "No problem Boo, now let's try again yeah?" He said as he crawled up back in the bed, next to me. "H- Harry..."
"Yeah? Love, is everything okay?" He asked. "C- could you m- maybe...uhm...sing for me?" I asked him and looked at him with red puppy eyes (a/n: red bc he was so tired). Harry chuckled a little and then said "of course baby" with a smile.
He started singing and his soft voice was such a calming thing for my ears and my whole body. I felt completely relaxed and soon I was finally asleep.
Harry's POV
It was so cute, last time Louis asked me to sing for him was a couple years ago. He always told me that it would be embarrassing but I only find it cute. He fell asleep in my arms and I could feel how relaxed he was which was such a relief. He finally got some sleep. He told me earlier after our concert that this had been going on for a week so I wanted to do everything to get him to his normal sleep routine again.
When I made sure Louis was fast asleep I finally closed my own eyes and dosed off.
We had no alarm so I woke up about 10 a'clock in the morning and noticed Louis still sleeping. Poor boy must be so tired. I decided to let him sleep as long as he wanted.
I got up and made breakfast again. Suddenly I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. I took it out and checked what the matter was. Louis sent me a message. A sad face emoji and wrote "miss you".
I smiled at it and wrote back for him "miss u too, just making breakfast, will come back in a minute".
I made us some breakfast and two cups of tea, then I put it on a tray and went back upstairs. "Morning sleepy, how did you sleep?" I asked as I put the tray down on the night stand.
"Better than in a very long time. Thank you Harry, you're the best" Louis replied and gave me a kiss.
We ate our breakfast and then cuddled together for a while. Eventually falling asleep again.
Louis told me that after the help from me and taking one tablet of melatonin per night he was starting to feel better and could sleep normally again. It was such a relief to hear. I told him to tell me immediately no matter time or place, if he had any troubles sleeping again.
