Ponyboy led you guys after getting directions to the Mountain
"Check it out man!" Johnny said after we had walked all the way up the Mountain we had seen the church Dallas was talking about
"The church!" Ponyboy said and we all walked towards it
We had walked through a entrance we'll have to later board off
We took note that this place is obviously abandoned with how it looked just outside
Pony and Johnny would walk around the Church looking around
You checked main or good exits and making sure theres no bugs why you guys would later lay or sit around in general
A owl had squawked taking notice of intrusion of its home flying away
"What was that?" Johnny asked while sitting down you sat against the wall
"Just an owl" pony answers Johnny while taking bucks coat off his waist, Johnny had also took off his Coat to use as a pillow
Johnny took out the gun Dally gave to him putting it next to his make shift pillow as Ponyboy laid down on right near the edge where Johnny laid and i sat
"Johnny..." you hear Ponyboy
"yea..." Johnnys voice a little more quieter than usual
"You alright..?" Pony asked
After Getting no response you hear Pony sigh
"Man this floor sure is hard..." Ponyboys last words before, of what you assumed, falling asleep
You could never fall asleep without that comfort of someone next to you but you don't wanna make one of the two boys uncomfortable in any way
So youll have to suck it up
You'll prolly just stay up this entire time
You think to yourself you could feel yourself falling asleep slowly
You close you eyes for what feels a second yet to be disturbed by a barking dog and open your eyes
You look around for a while and notice Johnnys gone
You look over at the spot Pony is lying and got up to sit next to his sleeping body
"Man i wish i could fall asleep like you two do..." you whispered
Almost like Pony heard you , he stirred awake
He blinks a couple of times
Pony must've heard something you didn't because he would sit up fast and stare at the Doorway he was facing in his sleep and look at it as if someone was in that room talking to him
"(M/n)? Johnny?" He yelled out looking around
"I'm pretty sure Johnny went out for supplies" you said in a near whisper looking at Ponyboy
He looks at you and looks around more
Looking right next to his sleeping spot he noticed writing
"Be back soon, Johnny" Pony read outloud
He looked back at you
You where staring off into space
You felt pony lay his head on your shoulder
You laid your head on his head and closed your eyes
You and Pony hear footsteps and you look around Pony gets up and goes to the entrance we got in through
He would trip and look up to see Johnny
"Fancy meeting you here Johnny" you faintly hear Pony say
You smile
Jonny sets down the crate of supplies onto the counter
Pony walks into the room as Johnny explains what he had got
"A loaf of bread, and a week supply of baloney here, here some peanut butter.." Johnny said pulling out said items out of the crate
"Gone with the wind?" Pony said while pulling out a Book
He looks at Johnny
"Johnny how'd you know i've always wanted Gone With The Wind?" Pony asked
"I heard you talking about it once, and we all went to go see it at the movies, maybe reading it will kill some time" Johnny answers Pony
"Thanks a lot Johnny..." Pony thanked him
They both would keep going through the crate
You zoned out sitting there right next to Ponys sleeping spot
You could feel yourself falling asleep sitting up still
You would then fall asleep with racing thoughts
Johnny POV
I looked at Pony and he looked at me defensively
"You ain't thinking.." i cut pony off
"We gotta cut our hair off and bleach yours" I say
"No no"
"They have our descriptions in the paper man we cant fit 'em man"
"No sir, you ain't touching my hair"
"Look we have to eventually, y'know if we get caught the first thing the judge makes you do is get a haircut"
Pony sat with some chocolate in his hand has he unwraps it
"I don't see why" pony said
"Me neither" i said pulling out the switchblade and walking around pony to get behind him
"No sir" Pony said looking at me accusingly
"Look we have to, and its going to grow back sooner or later" i said
Pony sighed and just looks down
I started cutting Ponys hair
Pony sucks in air letting out a long ow
I handed him the piece of hair i had just cut off
Pony continuously let out sounds of distress
"You should got scissors..." me and Pony jump looking towards the voice
"Golly (m/n)! Don't scare us like that, especially me with this switchblade!" I slightly scolded him
He scared me and i could've hurt one of the two
"I think you've done enough to Ponys hair, just bleach it now and he can get to cutting yours" (m/n) said to me
Pony smirks at me and i look at him funny
"I feel safer with you cutting my hair" i said to (m/n)
Pony looks at (m/n)
"No i think (m/n) is tired!" Pony said getting up
Pony winked at (m/n)
(M/n) smiled at Pony
I feel a certain way about this interaction, an' i didn't like it
"Yea, sorry Johnny, but" (m/n) pauses to yawn " 'm feeling a bit tired"
"Yeah Johnny let (m/n) rest, bleach my hair and i'll cut yours" Ponyboy said looking at (m/n) the whole time
"Yeah yeah.." i said looking around not wanting to look at how Pony was looking at (m/n)
"C'mon Johnny lets go bleach my hair" i look up at Ponyboy and nod following him out the church to the pump out back
All i really could think of was (m/n)
(M/n), he never got jumped yet he's a really good fighter, and he's basically like Dallas, yet (m/n) knows boundaries
(M/n) a greaser that has ever chance to fit in with the Socs yet refuses to ever even sit next to one
(M/n) a pretty/handsome(which ever you like🫶🏼) boy who deserves a lot more than he's got
