Last chapter.

Sarah Jason's POV (not Jones anymore)

It was our wedding night. Jason was leisurely resting on the couch, staring at the wall ahead as if it looked more beautiful than me.

Damn that wall.
Why was it painted so elegantly, the beige paint rolling like cream over it. So smooth. So flawless.
What?

Am I in love with a wall now?
Wait am I bi- sexWall?

I smacked my head with my newly wedding ring adorned palm.

Or maybe he was just trying to find some flaw in the painting that was mounted on it.

Enough. I huffed.
How dare he sit there, so away from me.

Time to tease the hell out of him.

"Jason honey, are we going to make love tonight?" I raised my eyebrows and winked at him.

Gazing at me with widened eyes, he took a sharp inhale.

Got him.

His eyebrows furrowed in disgust.

'"Honey? Sarah, no way you are calling me that."

"Hm, I will think about it" Amusement lingered in my tone. "Honey."

Striding forward, he took a seat next to me. A lethal grin surfaced on his too perfect face.

'Okay hot pink, if you say so.'
I groaned. And he laughed, enjoying my miserable nickname all too much.

"Oh my sweet honey, my apple pie." I cooed and squished his blushed cheeks playfully. Fire blazed his eyes.

"If I wasn't in love with you, I swear I would have hit you with my car someday."

Fluttering my eyelashes at him, my tone laced with sarcasm, I retorted.
"How romantic, Jason. If you weren't my husband I would have smacked your head in the wall as well."

We stared at each other with mock annoyance until our hearts melted the tension away, erupting a laughter out of us.

Leaning against his shoulder, I pinched his forearm.
"You are impossible."

Wrapping his arms around me, he flicked a finger at my forehead.
"You are impossible too."

"You are impossible infinity"

Shaking his head, he entwined our fingers together, his warmth seeping in to comfort me.
"I am not doing anything unless you do not want to. By now you should know I am not like most other men. There is no hurry. We have a lifetime ahead."

"And what if I die in my sleep tonight?" I pouted.

"Seriously Sarah. I just married you today and you are talking about death already. And even if you die, I am sure the people in hell are going to send you back here to haunt me."

What! I placed a hand over my heart feigning hurt.

"Are you disrespecting your wife right after making vows to respect her?"

"Just stating facts."

"I hate you."

Jason raised his eyebrows and spoke.
"Do you now?"

I placed a hand over my chin pretending to think about it.
"Most of the times I love you but at times I hate you too. Like right now I want to strangle you."

He chuckled knowing exactly what I meant. And then grinned at me.

"Guess I will have to work on that then".

I started to open my dress' zipper, but he held my hand.

"If we are doing this, then it won't be like this. I do not want you to make yourself vulnerable before me. You are my life partner, not a random hooker."

He did, he made himself vulnerable before me. Right there, I felt so much respect for him. I was an adult. I knew how most of these things worked. Most men loved to make women weak and vulnerable before them in such circumstances, but Jason bared himself before me, making me look at every scar, every flaw, every imperfection he thought he had.

"Do you trust me?"

"I do, Jason."

"I know I made my vows earlier, but I will make them again, in my most vulnerable form."

He kissed my forehead.

"I promise to forever protect you."
A wave of protection engulfed me.

He kissed my eyes.

"I promise to always cherish you"
A sense of contentment washed over me.

Rubbing his nose against mine, he placed a peck on it.

"I promise to stand by you in sickness"
A promise of eternal love embraced me.

He kissed the tattoo on my wrist.

"I promise to stand by you in health."
A sense of worth crowned me.

He kissed my jaw.

"I promise to stand by you in prosperity and adversity, in happiness and in grief."
Love coursed within my veins, making my heart a beating mess.

His lips brushed mine.
Ectasy reigned, halting my breaths.

"I make a vow to love you forever"
Fireworks ignited, sparks flew, tingles evoked.

"I love you today"
My heart somersaulted.

"I will love you tomorrow"
Butterflies fluttered and danced on my skin.

"and I will love you for an eternity."
Glorifyingly, my soul became undone.

Elating me, enticing me, perfecting me, he made love to me, overlooking my flaws, conquering my heart which had already madly fallen in love with him.
...................
Morning.

I woke up because of the sunrays hitting my face. Jason was still asleep beside me. I got up from bed.

"Get up Jason."

He slowly opened his eyes. I threw my comforter at him, which he managed to catch even with half-opened eyes.

"Fold this too, also make the bed."

"Why did you throw this at me?"

"Because it is sometimes fun to randomly throw things rather than just keeping them in their place."

"Is that so, Mrs. Jason?"

"Yes."

Soon enough, Jason took me in his arms in bridal style and raised his eyebrows amusingly.

"Don't you dare, Jason." I warned authoritatively but husbands don't listen, do they?

Just like that, Jason threw me on the bed.

"You are right. It was fun." And then he practically ran away from the room, trying to escape my wrath I guess.

"I will kill you."
I shouted from behind.

'I know...Jason peeked from behind the door...you will be the death of me.'

Jason Woods POV

Some years later

I was sitting in the lounge with my six babies. Yeah six, my three-year-old son and Sarah's five kittens which were by now full-grown cats, but they still loved pampering as babies.

I looked at my son who was dipping his entire hands in paint and then tracing his handprints over the canvas. He glanced at me.

"Do you want me to paint with you?"

"Yes" he nodded.

"Which color should I dip my hands in?"

"Pink."

Typical mommy's boy.

I dipped my hands in the pink paint and then traced them over the canvas. Just then Sarah came to sit beside us.

"Can I paint too?" She asked.

I looked at the canvas with mine, Sarah's, and our son's handprints on it. Blessed.

"Our complete family," I muttered.

Leaning on my shoulder, Sarah gazed at the painting too.

"Not really."

And then she made sure to dip each of her cat's paws in the paint to include them in our painting too.
