The sky and water were both littered with balls of explosions, machine gun fire, shells, lasers, and planes made of either steel or supernatural fire. Black Siren ships fall from the sky to reinforce their enemy numbers. Some of them blew up mid-air thanks to my girls.
It is an all-out war between Maizuru and the Crimson Axis. Although we initially had an advantage in numbers, that vixen summoned a bunch of Siren ships and made our lives even more difficult . We traded shells for lasers, planes for fire, and torpedoes for torpedoes. While she sat on her carrier and summoned planes, the others are fighting on the water surface.
"Fifth Squadron, launching!" (Zuihou)
"Kisaragi-chan, fall back! You're hurt!" (Mutsuki)
"I'm fine! Don't worry about me." (Kisaragi)
"Yuudachi, let's bite them!" (Black dog girl)
"Good idea, Shigure! You are going to be my new chew toy!" (CA Yuudachi)
"We need to take out that large dog!" (Fusou)
"What a pain in the ass! Mogami! Back me up. Toss some bones for that dog." (Yamashiro)
"My seaplanes aren't bones!" (Mogami)
"You know what I meant!" (Yamashiro)
Mogami's Zuiuns and Seaplanes flew around the large wolf, pattering it with bullets and occasionally some bombs which probably did nothing but piss it off even more. It let out a loud howl which made my ears ring. I can imagine the effect of it on my girls on the ground.
"I'm running out of ammo! Permission to resupply!" (Noshiro)
"You didn't have to ask. All units, as soon as you are in the red or injured, fall back immediately to resupply and recover. Akashi is on standby with quick repair buckets."
I turned to Ooyodo who is managing the comms,
"Ooyodo, get out there and back them up."
"But Admiral, what about the comms?" (Ooyodo)
"I will handle it myself. Divide all control to my console and get out there."
"Roger!" (Ooyodo)
Additional command prompts appeared on my console screen and buttons started flashing. It's complicated but nothing I can't handle. Ooyodo ran out of the Command Centre. Soon, her icon appeared on the screen as she joined the fray,
"Ooyodo. Sortieing." (Ooyodo)
"I will show you the Nightmare of Solomon!" (Yuudachi)
"That's... my line..." (CA destroyer with Sword)
As the Destroyer swung her sword, Yuudachi parried it with her gun and kicked her away. The other white hair dog-girl, I think her name is also Yuudachi, lunged at our Yuudachi,
"Don't bully Ayanami!" (CA Yuudachi)
"Poi?!" (Yuudachi)
The two Destroyers clashed and tumbled onto the water. Shouhou's arm bled as a laser cut through her shoulder.
"Shouhou, fall back now! Sawaka, get that dog off Yuudachi."
A shell from Sakawa launched the enemy Yuudachi away. Bombs dropped from the planes launched by that wolf managed to damage a number of my girls, forcing them to retreat and further thin out our numbers. I'm glad that they didn't sink but at this rate, we will lose this fight.
"See? I gave you the chance to join us but you squandered it away. Even if you change your mind now, I will slaughter every last one of you~" (CA Akagi)
We need to take out the Carriers. Starting with that wolf.
"Yamashiro, Fusou, do you have enough firepower to take out that wolf?"
"If I can get a clear shot at a target, maybe. Piss off! I don't have time for you!" (Yamashiro)
The back dog girl, whose name is also Shigure if I heard correctly, charged towards the Battleship. Yamashiro grabbed the enemy Shigure by the neck and slammed her onto the water.
"Gkhha!" (CA Shigure)
"Dumbass! What are you doing?!" (White Cat girl)
Yamashiro aimed her guns at the enemy Shigure, who is still being pinned. The aggression on her face subsided a little,
"You..." (Yamashiro)
"Yama...shiro...?" (CA Shigure)
"Tch!" (Yamashiro)
Yamashiro threw the enemy Shigure towards the approaching catgirl and the two Destroyers collided.
"Nee-sama, stay here and hold the line. I will take out that big dog." (Yamashiro)
"I will follow you." (Fusou)
"No. We need to buy enough time for the others to return. It's just a dog. Easy for a dreadnought ship like me to take down. I'm off." (Yamashiro)
"Yamashiro!" (Fusou)
"Yamashiro is right. We need someone to hold the line until the others can come back. Just hold on for 5 minutes. And trust your sister. She knows what she is doing."
I can see Fusou clenched her fist,
"I understand. BatDiv 2, Fusou. Holding the ground!" (Fusou)
"Go. I will back her up." (Yahagi)
"Shigure, you are in the red. Hurry back and resupply."
"I still have three shots in one gun and one torpedo left. I want to help Yamashiro." (Shigure)
"No. You won't be able to do anything with just 3 shells. Fall back and resupply!"
"Admiral, if we want to take down that dog, we have to do it now!" (Yamashiro)
"The planes will get in your way. I will help too." (Zuihou)
Zuihou too? Agh... Fine.
"Shigure, support Yamashiro but don't rush in too deep. Zuihou, provide air support and cover Yamashiro's advance. Yamashiro, what's your target?"
"Like any living creature, a hole in the head will put it down." (Yamashiro)
The head it is, then.
"Go! You better come back alive!"
How reckless. But it's what they do best.
"You won't get a clear shot of it's head from below. You need to go higher."
"I got just the plan. Shigure, I need a boost!" (Yamashiro)
"Now, let's do this! Attack corps, take off." (Zuihou)
Shigure detached the empty gun and sped to the front. She clasped her hands together and got into boosting position. Zuihou launched two squadrons of fighters to take down the enemy planes. Shit! Mass-produced Siren ships started to approach the light carrier from all directions.
"Zuihou! You are being surrounded! Get out of there now!"
"I got her! All you carrier aircraft! Get to work! Get to work!" (Ryuujou)
Bombers flew overhead, dropping their payload onto the impending ships and blowing them up. Nice assistance, Ryuujou!
The first wave of girls that went back for resupply and repairs earlier are coming back to bolster the front lines. Its a battle of attrition at this point.
With the boost from Shigure, Yamashiro managed to jump high up and look at the dog straight in the eye. The planes it launched were shot down by Zuihou's fighters, giving her the clearing she needs. The dog turned to using its mouth to bite Yamashiro, only to be slammed shut by Shigure, who fired a shell at its jaw from underneath.
"Main guns, ready, aim, fire~! Be still, bitch!" (Yamashiro)
All four of Yamashiro's cannons fired at the dog's head. Its snout, face, and eyes caught fire as it let out a beastly roar before falling onto the water. Yamashiro slid off its body before tumbling onto the water herself. Her outfit was singed by the fire and three of her guns broke apart as soon as she landed onto the surface.
"Yamashiro, you all right?"
"Yep. Remind me never to do that ever again. Shit. Akashi is going lecture me again." (Yamashiro)
If she can still joke like that, she is all right. The wolf has been taken down!
"Not bad. Entertain me some more!"(CA Kaga)
There is still those foxes...
"Truth can only be found within our range!" (CA Bismarck)
"Look out!"
A red glow emitted from Bismarck's guns as she fired at Fusou. Flames engulfed the older sister and two of her guns were destroyed.
"Nee-sama!" (Yamashiro)
"Fusou!" (Shigure)
"Feuer!" (Prinz Eugen)
"All guns. Ready, aim, fiiireee~!" (Ooyodo
All of Prinz Eugen's and Ooyodo's guns fired a salvo at the battleship, putting the portside of her guns out of commission for now.
"Kh!" (CA Bismarck)
"Yamashiro, Shigure, escort Fusou back immediately! Agano, Tenryuu, Suzuya, support Yahagi!"
"I'm totes in trouble myself over here!" (Suzuya)
"Shouhou, Kumano, assist Suzuya. Fumizuki, go help Yahagi. Open up a path for the three of them to escape."
A few beams from a Siren ship blast Yahagi off her feet and send her flying backwards. After tumbling for a bit, she got back on her feet. Blood dripped from her arm and forehead.
"Yahagi!" (Agano)
"I'm okay. I won't sink from so few hits!" (Yahagi)
"Hmm~ You lot are not as fragile as I though you were." (CA Akagi)
"What a bad kid you are, do you want to die? Mmmfufufu~" (Tatsuta)
With a swing of her spear, Tatsuta sent Z23 flying across the water and crashing into Z1.
"Z23! You alright?! Z23!" [Z23! Alles in Ordnung?! Z23!] (CA Z1)
The German Destroyer was unresponsive,
"Oh my~ I must have hit her too hard. But naughty children need punishment~" (Tatsuta)
Tatsuta smiled menacingly as she approached the Destroyer holding on to her friend. Before she can get any closer, Admiral Graf Spee stood in between them, brandishing her red claws,
"Take even one more step and I will shred you to pieces." [Noch einen Schritt weiter, und ich werde dich in Stücke reißen.] (CA Admiral Graf Spee)
"Hm? So you want to be my playmate? Sure~ Lets play~" (Tatsuta)
More Siren ships blew up as the Crimson Axis fleet is being pushed back. Looks like quantity can't win against quali- Shut up. Don't jinx it.
"Murasame, cover Satsuki's position while she goes back to resupply."
Yes, yes~ Murasame, heading into position." (Murasame)
"Ow!" (CA Shigure)
"Ouch!" (CA Yuudachi)
The enemy Shigure and Yuudachi screamed as an explosion happened at their feet and engulfed both of them in a thick black smoke. Shigure fell to her knees as the smoke cleared while her friend still stands,
"A torpedo? N... Not bad... You'd better remember this!" (CA Shigure)
"They don't call me the 'Sniper of the seas' for nothing!" (Iku)
"I'll show you what the Nightmare of Solomon looks like!" (CA Yuudachi)
"No! I'm the only Nightmare of Solomon! Stop trying to steal my title poi!" (Yuudachi)
Yuudachi fired three shots at her evil incarnation. Grabbing three torpedos from her launcher in her fingers, Yuudachi threw them at her evil self as though she was ninja throwing kunai knives. The torpedos hit their target and exploded.
"Yuudachi!" (CA Shigure)
The enemy Yuudachi's body fell limply onto the water. Her injured friend hurriedly rushed to her side,
"Yuudachi! Yuudachi!" (CA Shigure)
"Things are not going in our favor" (CA Akagi)
More Siren ships were destroyed as the enemy Ayanami and Kolhn fell to their knees. Hiryuu's and Souryuu's planes managed to shoot the enemy Kaga out of the sky and forced her to land on Akagi's carrier. Some of Shouhou's and Zuihou's bombers managed to cause some small fires on Akagi's carrier.
"Insolent brats!" (CA Akagi)
We have the advantage now!
"Keep up the attack! Then give them time to rest!"
"Roger!" (All)
"I'm sorry, Onee-sama. I got careless." (CA Kaga)
"I hate to say this, Akagi. But we need to retreat now!" [Ich sage das nur ungern, Akagi. Aber wir müssen uns jetzt zurückziehen!] (CA Bismarck)
"...All units, retreat! Get the injured on board immediately! Hurry up!" (CA Akagi)
More Siren dropped from the sky, probably their attempt to buy time to drag the injured on board and escape. What should I do? We can go ahead and kill them, but Commander Ao wants to reunite everyone under the Azur Lane banner. If I give the order to sink them, our relationship with Azur Lane will crumble even before it can completely take off. Killing them will also incite their comrades to come attack us.
"All units, eliminate the remaining Siren ships. Fire at the fleeing enemy but try not to hit them."
"Are you serious? This is our chance to destroy them!" (Kawakaze)
"Letting them run now will be more advantageous for us in the long run. I will explain later in the debriefing. Just mop up those heaps of scrap metal and chase the others off."
I watched as the Siren ships dwindled in numbers while the enemy load the unconscious girls on to Akagi's carrier. Bismarck silently looked back at Prinz Eugen before hopping onto the carrier.
"If you think this is the last time we meet, you are mistaken, human." (CA Akagi)
Woah, scary. I can sense her murderous aura from all the way here. We really pissed her off.
Shells and bombs missed the Carrier as it disappeared into the horizon. There are still some Siren ships, but they were all destroyed in a matter of seconds.
"Are they gone?" (Nagatsuki)
"Did we win nyan?" (Tama)
"Yeah. We did it. We won!"
The girls erupted with cries of joy and triumph cheers. I slumped back into my chair and breathed deeply. My heart was racing throughout the entire battle. I haven't felt this way in ages.
"Come on back everyone. Lets get you girls patched up and ready for a victory party. You all deserve it."
More triumphant cries can be heard from the radio. I watched as the girls slowly returned back to base, their icons returning to the 'standby' section of the console. Once I made sure everyone had been accounted for, I switched off the console and left the Command Centre. Mamiya and Akashi are going to be extremely busy for a while.
Now, how am I going to put all this in a report?
