Luna sat with her legs crossed, sitting in the middle of the back of Calvin's car as he drove her and Polly to the mall, she thought it was embarrassing being driven by her friend's older brother but she couldn't put a reason on why it is was embarrassing, just that it was.
"Cal, just pull on up, we'll be fine." He gave his sister a look before stopping at the front of the mall, both the girls unbuckled their seatbelts and left the car, Polly had kept the front passenger car open as she leaned against the door before he told her not to before explaining "Text me and I'll come pick y'all up, Polly be good." She rolled her eyes "You ain't funny, feed the sheep when ya get back." She shut the car door before catching up with Luna.
Luna watched her run up before dusting her pants off "Why don't you guys think of going to a car wash?" She complained a bit as the tan dust coated a spot on her green tank top "Girlie, we live on a literal dirt road. We wait for rain, more efficient." Polly then grabbed her hand and dragged her off to look at the clothes for hours.
They had entered around 5 pm but now it was around 7 pm, mainly just looking at clothes and getting snacks before Luna checked her phone and showed Polly "I think this girls' trip was successful and even more successful if you want to count that no boys came up and flirted with you." She joked before the other playfully shoved her "At least I catch fish, you just catchin' vines." She made a shocked expression and placed a hand on her chest, pretending like the demon just said the absolute worst thing "I feel offended, demons are just plain to mean."
The girls left the mall, Polly pulled her phone out of her back pocket to text Calvin to pick her up as Luna was just planning to walk back. Just as she sent the text, her phone levitated out of her hand as she looked to who was doing it, he levitated her phone into his hand and examined it before looking back at Polly "Pinewood student? Disgusting." He made a face as Luna glared at him before she looked for a nearby plant as he snapped his fingers to get her attention again "Hello? Are you just going to ignore me?" He carelessly swung the demon's phone back and forth between two fingers to just get under Luna's nerves.
"No, sorry, I don't talk to idiots, or do you have a preferred term?" She tilted her head to the side before noticing green behind him as Polly tried to get her attention "Hey, Luna? Just leave it, we ain't gotta deal with him and I honestly just want to get back with zero causalities-" She spoke too late as vines wrapped around his legs, pulling him to the pavement face first as another grabbed her phone to give back to her friend "Oh shoot-" Luna face palmed realizing as Polly shook her head "Girlie, you gotta think before you act."
He huffed in frustration as he used his arm to push off from the pavement, lifting his free hand before looking at Luna followed by levitating her into the air and tossing her into a car as she seethed in pain from slamming into the car door "Luna! Hey now that ain't nice, go crawl back to your school and bully 'em!" Polly ran over to Luna before realizing the rather large flytrap growing to try and eat the rival student as a crowd started gathering quickly from the two students. The demon helped the other onto her feet as she saw a car driving over to them "Girlie, call it off because we have to leave. Now."
She glanced at her before looking at the kid, the flytrap stopped but stayed there before she noticed the car before glancing at the crowd "That's going to be noticed by the principal..." Polly scoffed while looking at the scene "Ya think?" She saw her brother slowly pull over to get close enough as Luna and her friend rushed over to get out of there quickly as the large flytrap faded and slowly slumped over as it died.

She waved goodbye before entering her parents' house, just planning on heading straight to her bedroom to water her plants and update them on what happened today as she usually did. Besides her friends and family, the plants here and everywhere were her safe spot or the key to escaping reality to feel closer to her inner self.
She locked her door after grabbing the glass of water to hydrate the youngling "Today was chaotic... Again... Did you get enough sunlight today? I know it was pretty cloudy yesterday." A small smile formed on her face hearing the affirmations from them "That's good, you are growing plants that need their nutrients." She unlocked the door before grabbing her phone off her desk to watch the group chat from her friends, just watching chaos flood through the little bubbles popping up on her phone from several friends.

Savannah: "You and Luna got jumped at the mall?? That's crazy! Did you see who? Are you girls safe???"
Mitzy: "Yeah girl, you have to tell us who and if they go to our school or go to Blacklake Academy. Because if it's a Blacklaker, we need payback."
Luther: "Yeah Polly, was it someone from Blacklake? Or was it just some random dude being an asshole."
Polly: "Prettttyy sure he came from Blacklake, his disgust saying Pinewood felt real."
"I kicked his ass though, saved the day totally." :Luna
"He almost got eaten from my flytrap but I thought I would spare him." :Luna
Polly: "Luna, don't go sayin' false things."
Luther: "But you both are safe? I can't believe someone attacked you guys by himself."
"Yeah, we are good. Little to no damage." :Luna
Polly: "He tossed ya like a ragdoll into a car!"
Savannah: "Omg?!? Luna, are you okay???"
Luther: "You should be taking it easy, Luna."
Mitzy: "Why are we even surprised? Luna's always getting into trouble and getting hurt, it would surprise us more if she didn't even attack even if he's a rival student."
"I can protect myself, I can handle things myself!" :Luna
"I will listen for the school days just to prove to you I'm capable!" :Luna
Mitzy: "I'll take that bet."
Savannah: "Yeah, someone keeps an eye on her so we can make sure. Luther takes the first watch?"
Luther: "I don't want to get involved but I will watch her first, then Polly, then Mitzy, then Savannah."
Mitzy: "Sounds good to me."
Savannah: "Yeah, I can agree."
Polly: "Aight."
"I'll prove it perfectly, just wait, guys!" :Luna

She plugged her phone in and left it on her bedside table, staring up at the ceiling while repeating "You can do it for 5 days." She then nodded to herself after 5 minutes passed of her encouragement to complete a simple task "I got this, right plants?" She then looked at the plants "Right?" Their hesitation disappeared slowly after as they agreed with her.
25 minutes later and she was still trying to fall asleep before hearing her dad creeping in the hallways, she sat up and as the bed creaked from her slowly getting off to scare him she yelped and quickly looked at the rock before switching her view to the now broken window "Help??" She picked up the rock to check for a note but didn't see one as she walked over to check outside being careful to not step on the glass. The witch opened the window and peak out to just notice a silhouette of a figure she huffed before muttering to herself "I bet you that it's a stupid Blacklaker."
She carefully jumped over the glass mess before leaving her room in a rush, running down the stairs and jumping when it was the last four, putting her shoes on quickly before leaving the house and closing the door behind her before noticing the silhouette again and running after it.
"Hey! I saw you just get back here!" She kept chasing, running down the sidewalk and almost hitting her face on a signpost when turning around a bend before losing them as she huffed to catch her breath. She rolled her eyes before noticing the note on the ground and picking it up "Hah, I knew a note was meant to be with that rock." She breathed out before reading it and feeling tenser.
"Having fun yet?"
- You know.
She looked up from the paper and glanced around her in an attempt to locate the figure but couldn't see anything besides people she's seen before on the second street opposite of hers, turning to look up at what the sign said before walking back to the house while thoughts raced in her head with smaller ones sent shivers down her spine.
Once she got back to her house, she didn't even take her shoes off as she grabbed a broom and dustpan to clean the glass up and just wanted to sleep today off before being surprised that her dad didn't hear her or her mom as she went to check on them, finding both just hanging out in the backyard.
Going back to her room, she stared at the broken window before getting the crumpled piece of paper out of her pocket to read it again, shifting to sit on her bed as she continued to read it over and over in her head to try to potentially decipher it or find out who was stalking her in the memory aisle of known friends or family or others and couldn't recognize the figure before opening the drawer built into her bedside table to place the note in it to attempt falling asleep to get it out of her head faster as it took a few minutes later to drift into a slumber.

She woke up from the alarm on her phone as she dragged herself out of bed to turn off the alarm, the note wrote itself into her vision which deformed the text on her phone which said "I'm watching" instead of "School time dummy", blinking and rubbing her eyes she looked back to what it truly said as she grabbed it and went to make herself breakfast to get ready for the day since she knew she'd be pulled into the principal's office for using her powers off campus.
After breakfast and saying goodbye to her parents she saw Luther pull up and had already picked up the others since she was farther from school including where he lived, entering the car and putting her seatbelt on as she just stared out the window most of the ride before jumping in her seat when she felt someone touch her shoulder "Girl? You don't look so well. You feelin' alright?” She gave a nod, Polly wanted to know what was happening with Luna but decided not to intrude if it was a personal matter.
Luther pulled up to the school's parking lot and turned the engine off before everyone almost simultaneously unbuckled from their seats to leave the car. Luna looked up and saw the principal just standing on the stairs she sighed and placed her head on the car roof before hearing the words “Miss Lavender, come to my office immediately. The rest of you can head inside and wait for the first class.”
Polly gave her a look to let her know to tell her everything later before heading inside with the others, she just wanted to head in with everyone but dragged her feet as she went up to the principal before he placed a hand on her back to lead her into his office which a lady sat in one of the empty seats and she gave a weird look at the principal as he sat in his chair, he folded his hands on his desk and looked at the two young ladies.
“Luna Lavender this is Mercy Clark. She saw your, ahem... Incident at the mall.” She gave one look at the strange woman before giving a small and unenthusiastic wave “Sir, can I please just go back to my friends? I rather not interact with this strange person who happened to watch the news and wanted to speak with me. Let's just talk about the incident later, after school.” She then left before he could get a word in.
Luna walked through the halls, dodging fireballs and the other teens running down the hall before she picked up her pace to locate her friends, being pulled to the side she looked at him as he glanced from side to side before whispering “Don't trust that woman.” She closed and rolled her eyes before opening them because she was not listening to the shy, new kid “Lyed, I don't even know yet so don't worry, okay? Now let's just get over this day because I have a lot on my plate. Talk later?” He seemed more nervous at that, biting his inner cheek before nodding and letting go of her arm as he watched her leave.

It was after school and she decided to walk home instead, just wanting to clear her head from last night swirling with yesterday's plant out. Who was stalking her? Was it stalking or is someone from the past she's never met going to tell her who's her real parents she was trying to ignore it if that was the case, she was happy right now with her current life; Good friends, loving parents, a good education for her abilities. Her vines wrapped around her legs, waking up from their nap as she lowered her arms for them to crawl on to get closer to her for protection as she talked to herself and the vines.
She entered the house, seeming to be normal as she took her shoes off and went upstairs to her room to do her homework and continue her project, just distracting her mind which worked because she eventually fell asleep on the floor after being exhausted from everything happening lately.
