They're in high school!
I stood outside on the school yard, smoking, as you do.
I saw a skinny and pale guy with glasses and a beanie.
He's probably new.
Kinda cute to be honest.
I watched as the boy walked inside and the doors closed after him.
I dropped my cigarette and stomped on it before running inside.
I found someone picking on the new boy.
Not on my fucking watch.
I walked over to the 2 of them and slammed my hand against the locker between the 2 guys.
"Leave him be, asshole" I snapped.
"And what're you gonna do?"
I placed my heavy and studded boot on the guys foot and pressed down.
"Touch him again and I'll have your head on a stick, 'kay?"
"Y-yes" the guys whimpered. "I u-understand"
I took my foot off his and he ran.
I turned around to face the smaller guy and he jumped slightly.
"Woah, calm down, I won't hurt you" I said, throwing my hands up. "What's your name?"
"I'm Mikey" he said.
"Y/N" I reached my hand out for him and he shook it.
His hands were smaller than mine but his grips was firm.
"Can I see your schedule?"
Mikey handed me his schedule and I nodded.
"You have the same schedule as I do, stick with me and you'll be fine"
"Okay"
I noticed that his knees were a bit funny looking.
Mikey was shy and just fucking adorable in my opinion.
I wanted to protect him.
I wanted to love him and I wanted him to love me.
"I'll keep you safe" I said.
"Thanks.." he blushed slightly and I smiled.
"C'mon, we have class"
I took his hand and started walking towards the classroom.
Mikey followed me and I took him to sit down at the back of the class.
Class was fine. Really boring but fine with Mikey around.
When we got out someone bumped into Mikey and started cussing him out.
They slapped Mikey's books out of his hands and he stepped back in fear.
I stepped forward and pulled Mikey behind me.
"Talk to him like that again and see what happens" I said.
"Oh yeah, what will you do?"
"Fucking try me" I stepped towards him. "I won't hesitate to cut a bitch"
I put my arms around Mikey and he hid his face in my leather jacket.
"Hey it's alright" I whispered. "You're okay"
"Thank you" he sniffled.
"I'll keep you safe" I stroked his hair. "Now let's go"
I kept and arm around him as we walked.
Mikey leaned against me and I smiled.
A week later...
We sat at the back of the art class, sharing one table.
I was drawing in my sketchbook and Mikey was drawing on my hand.
He was holding it in his and drawing on it in sharpie.
I smiled, looking at his face, he had his tongue slightly out as he was eyeing the drawings.
"Let me draw on your arm" I said, taking the marker from his hand. "Don't look"
I pushed his sleeve up and wrote 'ur cute darling' on his skin before drawing something else.
I drew a very small heart under the text and then put the marker down.
"I gotta go" I said.
"But it's only the end of art, we still have 5 more hours?" Mikey said, confused.
"Rules aren't made for me" I scratched the back of my neck. "But look at the drawing I made"
I left the room and glanced back, seeing Mikey turn bright red as he looked down at his arm.
"Success" I chuckled to myself.
Left school and sat on top of a low brick wall, smoking.
"Hey punk bastard!" Someone yelled.
"Oh, it's you" I said, giving the guy a sharp look.
"Where's your twink ass boyfriend?" He asked, walking over to me. "Did he dump you?"
"He's still at school"
"He probably doesn't wanna be seen with you"
"You're very wrong" I blew out a puff of smoke.
"That boy is worthless but not even he deserves to be around someone like you"
I eyes shot down to his and I blew the smoke from between my teeth.
I hopped down from the wall and stood in front of him.
"Talk shit about him one more time and things will get ugly" I breathed out.
He laughed. "Do you have a crush on him or something? That's fucking pathetic! He's literally just a-"
I punched the guy in the face.
"I warned you" I grabbed the collar of his shirt and hit him again.
He shoved me against the wall and I hit my head.
He grabbed my face and dragged it along the bricks.
I pushed him off me and punched him in the face again.
His nose cracked and I now had his blood on my hands.
He grabbed onto my jacket and I grabbed his arms.
I dug my nails into his skin and he threw me onto the grass.
I got up and kicked him on the stomach, making him double over in pain.
I smacked his head against the wall and he groaned.
"Do you give up?" I asked.
"Y-yes" he said clutching his stomach. "I g-give up"
I spit out some blood and heard footsteps.
I turned around to see Mikey, horrified.
"Mikey" I looked into his eyes, falling the gash in my face at the same time.
"Y/N, what did you do?" He asked.
The other guy got up and ran away from us.
Mikey stared at me, his eyes wide.
"Mikey I-" I stuttered. "He was- he was calling you names and-"
"You b-beat him up?"
I nodded.
I stepped towards him but he backed away.
"Mikey please" I whispered. "I won't hurt you"
He didn't say a word and just stared at my bloody hands and face.
He was scared...
Of me.
I looked down. "Fine, I'll go"
I turned to walk away but he suddenly stopped me.
"You're hurt" he mumbled, sitting me down against the wall.
He grabbed some paper and bandaids from his bag.
Mikey straddled my lap and started cleaning my wounds.
"I'm not scared of you, if that's what you're thinking" he said finally. "I was just shocked to see you like this, covered in blood and bruises"
I looked away from him.
He grabbed my chin and made me look at him while cleaning under my eye.
"I like being around you Y/N"
He sighed and looked down. "Well.. I like you. You make me feel safe"
I tilted his head up and gave him a small kiss.
"I like you too Mikey" I whispered.
