I stood in the torrid rain.
They said it was a cloud burst.
But it was as if the heavens felt my pain
And sent down its tears first.
I felt the cold water upon my face
And tightly shut my eyes.
But the tears would not stop.
Each drop knew its place!
I raised my hands to the sky.
- Silent prayers and gentle sighs
"Stop your tears", I cry.
No matter the pain
I will get by.
