(Sierras Pov)
It's January 3rd which means tomorrow we're going back to hogwarts.
Life was good at the moment.
Enzo and Pansy are gonna get married which is unbelievable.
They decided they want the wedding after the war so that they can enjoy it with no distractions.
"I want flowers, sparkles and a theme, we have to have a theme." Said Pans.
"Simmer down darling it's gonna be quite a while till we have this wedding." Said Enzo.
"Aw look at her though, let her have her fun."
Said Mattheo.
"Ya don't ruin her spirit." Said Theo.
"We need entertainment. Sierra you can be our entertainment."
"How would she be your entertainment?"
Asked Draco.
"Um she can sing our first dance song, duh."
Said Pansy.
"Wait you can sing?" Said Draco.
"Well I used to but I'm not very good."
"Are you fucking insane, your voice is beautiful." Said Pansy.
"Well you gotta sing for us now." Said Theo.
"No I shouldn't." I said.
"Come on don't be shy." Said Enzo.
I felt myself burn up.
"Draco can totally okay the piano as she sings." Said Enzo.
"I don't play anymore." Said Draco.
"Ya you do I heard you that one day at Hogwarts." I said.
"Oooo exposed." Said Theo.
"That's only because I needed to clear my mind."
"It's not like you can't play, you just don't."
Said Pans.
"And Draco's never gonna forget because he has perfect pitch." Said Enzo.
I gasped.
"No way you have perfect pitch. So when we're fucking and I moan do you think like oh shit that was a B sharp?" I asked.
"Oh my god." Said Pans.
"No I don't for your information."
"Why are you embarrassed? That's so coo."
Said Mattheo.
"I'm not embarrassed pianos just not something guys really do." He said.
"Don't let your fathers words get to you. I'm actually really impressed you can play." I said.
Draco smiled and nodded at me.
"Draco darling would you mind coming here for a second? Your father and I need to tell you something." Said Narcissa.
"Coming mother. Well gotta go." Said Draco.
He got up and left the room.
"So what dress do you want for the wedding?"
I asked.
"I have no idea, but it has to stand out." She said.
"Let me see the ring again." I said grabbing her hand.
Pansys ring was beyond beautiful.
It had diamonds, and gold,
It was perfect.
(Draco's Pov)
"Your gonna do it whether you like it or not.
Understand me?" Asked father.
I nodded knowing any other answer would result in pain.
"Good now get out." He said.
I couldn't believe this.
I felt like I was about to pass out.
My first task is to fix the vanishing cabinet as an easy way for death eaters to get into hogwarts.
That seemed easy enough but it's the second task that's gonna kill me.
I have to kill Dumbledore.
Kill him,
one of the most powerful wizards.
And if I didn't the lord was gonna kill me.
I'm being set up to die.
I'm not sure what I did wrong but the lord wants me dead.
This isn't possible. How could someone like me kill Dumbledore.
I sat back down in the living room and tried to keep it together.
(Sierras Pov)
"Draco what's wrong?" I asked.
Draco came back and sat down but something felt off.
I couldn't explain it but I had this gut feeling.
"Huh um nothing." He said.
"Don't lie to me if there's a problem I wanna know." I said.
"There isn't a problem just stop." He said annoyed.
"Fine you don't have to talk about it now but when your ready i'm here to listen."
"Oh Sierra there you are. A letter came in the mail for you." Said Narcissa.
"Thank you!" I said grabbing it from her.
"Oooo who's it from?" Said Pans.
"The um hospital." I replied confused.
I opened the letter and started reading it.
Dear Sierra
I hope you are doing well and enjoyed your Christmas.
I'm sorry to inform you that your father has been hospitalized.
We are unsure of his likelihood of survival and he has requested for you to come in.
The address is on the envelope.
We apologize for this inconvenience.
I dropped the letter and my heart raced.
The words likelihood of survival repeated in my head.
I felt paralyzed and unable to speak.
Why is he in the hospital?
And why won't he survive?
I was too in shock to cry and everything was still processing in my mind.
(Mattheos Pov)
"Sierra are you okay?" I asked.
"Hey Sierra?" Said Draco.
"What happened?" Said Pansy.
Enzo shook her arm and Theo flashed his hand in front of her face.
"Darling what's wrong?" Said Draco.
I picked up the letter she dropped and read it.
Holy shit.
"Hey hey it's ok, listen he might be okay let's just go and see before you get to ahead of yourself." I said.
"What is it?" Asked Draco.
Suddenly she snapped out of it and grabbed the letter from my hand.
"We have to go now." She said.
She grabbed Draco's hand too.
"Where? We're in our pajamas still." Said Draco.
"Doesn't matter let's go." She said in a hurry.
She handed Pansy the letter and we immediately apparated to the hospital.
"Why are we at a hospital what's going on?" Said Draco.
She walked us to the receptionist.
"Hi I'm Sierra, I'm here to see my dad."
She said.
"Oh yes Sierra. He's in room 34 just down the hall." She said.
Sierra left to go to the room.
"Please tell me what's going on." Said Draco.
Wait here. Mattheo fill Draco in." She said.
She was gone before I got the chance to reply.
(Sierras Pov)
"Dad I'm here what happened?" I asked.
He was laying there with a tube in his arm and he was connected to a heart rate monitor.
"Sierra darling come here." He said grabbing my face.
"Raise my seat will you?" He asked.
I pressed the button on the side of the chair and sat him up.
"Thanks sweetie." He said.
"Dad what happened?"
"I was walking on the sidewalk when I saw a kid wandering around. He walked on to the road and no one was helped him.
Suddenly a car came in his direction and I didn't have the heart to watch him get hit.
I ran to push him out of the way but the car still hit us both." He said.
I stood there in shock.
"Your gonna be okay though right?" I asked.
"I mean your here and alive now so what's gonna change?"
"I'm bleeding internally." He said.
"I'm lucky I even survived the hit. The kid died on the spot."
"So you sacrificed your life, for no reason?"
I said.
"It wasn't for no reason." He said.
I felt my heart rate rising again but I had to calm down for him.
"Where's the driver now?" I asked.
"It was a hit and run darling."
"No." I yelled balling my hands into fists.
"It's not fair, you sacrificed your life for a kid and it didn't nothing. Now your hurt and the driver got away." I said tearing up.
I started sweating and felt myself become dizzy, until my dad grabbed my hands and I calmed down.
"Listen to me Sierra. I wanna spend my last moments happy not regretful.
And I wanna see you happy not resentful."
He said.
"Stop talking like that. Stop talking like your gonna die." I said.
"Sierra please. I don't want this to change you." He said.
So this was it.
Even he thought he was gonna die.
"Dad I love you." I said.
"I love you too." He said.
"Wait! There's some people I want you to meet." I said.
I ran out and grabbed Draco and Mattheo.
Without saying a word I pulled them in.
"Dad this is Draco and Mattheo." I said.
"Hello sir, you must be Sierras father." Said Draco taking out his hand.
My dad shook his hand and smiled.
"Nice to meet you." Said Mattheo also taking out his hand.
"Your names sound quite familiar but I can't quite put my tongue on it." Said my dad.
"Well um this is Draco, Malfoy." I said.
"A Malfoy, that's quite a respected bloodline in the wizarding world am I right?" Said my dad.
I nodded.
"And Mattheo? Hmm what's his last name?"
He asked.
"It's um Riddle." I said nervously.
"You mean like Tom Riddle as in Voldemort?"
Asked my dad.
"Well yes but I can assure you he's nothing like his father." I said.
"Interesting." Said my dad.
"Draco are you the son of Lucius Malfoy?"
"Yes sir I am." Said Draco.
"So the son of Lucius and Voldemort."
Said my dad.
I watched the heart rate monitor and noticed the immediate switch in pace. It sped up by a lot.
"Yes but I can promise you they treat me well. They literally worship the ground I walk on."
I said laughing.
"I would expect nothing less."
He said smiling.
"Are these the friends you've been writing about? The ones who helped you?"
"Yes they were the ones who made me feel better again." I said.
"Boys can I speak to you alone for a minute." Said my dad.
"Of course." Said Mattheo.
I left the room.
(Draco's Pov)
I had no idea what he was about to say. I saw the nervousness on his face when he realized mine and Mattheos parents.
He grabbed our hands and pulled us closer.
"I don't have much time left and Sierra knows it.
When I pass she'll have no family left.
I know she's gonna struggle, but she might struggle in silence.
She tends to hold everything in even if you think she doesn't.
She acts like she's great at expressing herself but when her mother passed it broke her and there was nothing I could do about it.
That's why when she wrote to me saying that she was happy again I was overwhelmed with joy.
I saw how happy she was when you guys came in.
That's one of the happiest times I've seen her since in months.
So I ask one thing of you guys.
Please take care of her.
If she doesn't wanna talk about it and says she's fine ignore it.
Force her to talk about it and let her feel.
She needs to feel to recover.
And don't let her sit around all day wasting her life.
Sure for the first couple days she can mope around, but after make sure she stays active.
Force her to do things, because once she makes it a habit not to it's gonna be hard to go back.
Trust me I've been there before.
She might yell at you for it and cry, and say awful things but she doesn't mean it.
And please don't give up on her because she has it in her to recover." Said her dad.
That was a lot to take in but Mattheo and I listened to every word.
"Sierras mentally the strongest person I've ever known and I know she'll recover." Said Mattheo.
"You raised her perfectly and I'll do everything I can to help her." Said Mattheo.
"I would sacrifice anything for your daughter and I promise I won't give up on her." I said.
"Thank you both so much. You can let her in." He said.
Mattheo opened the door and she walked in.
"You've found yourself some very good people darling I can tell they both love you." He said.
(Sierras Pov)
I don't know what they talked about but it definitely went well.
"I just wanna tell you that I'm so proud of you and that you mean the world to me."
Said my dad.
I felt myself tear up.
I felt it in my gut that I only had a few minutes left.
"Ever since you were a kid I knew that you would turn out to be perfect.
And please don't shut any one out when this happens."
"I won't I promise." I said crying.
"Come here my love." I walked over to my dad and he wrapped his arms around me.
"You know your mother would be so proud of you too and we're both so grateful to be your parents." He said.
"Your so grown now but you'll always be my little girl."
I giggled a bit and kissed his cheek.
"I love you dad. I love you more then I can explain."
"I love you too darling." He said pulling my head towards him.
I put my head to his chest and felt his heart beat on my cheek.
Then I felt it slow down.
And then.
I felt it stop.
The monitor made a sound and that was it.
He was gone.
"NO." I screamed.
I sobbed more then I've ever sobbed before.
"PLEASE GOD BRING HIM BACK." I screamed.
"PLEASE." I said sobbing.
I felt Draco and Mattheo rub my back and even heard small cries.
I heard doctors running in and yelling.
"Get off honey." Said a doctor.
"NO." I screamed grabbing on to my dad even tighter.
"We need you to get off." Said another doctor.
"No please just give me more time." I said.
I felt one of the doctors grab me but I resisted.
"Don't touch her." Said Mattheo.
Mattheo and the doctor started arguing back and forth.
"Darling you need to get off." Said Draco.
I felt him gently lift me up and I gave in.
He grabbed me and pulled me in nice and close.
I looked up at him and he was crying.
Bless his heart.
Suddenly Mattheo looked over and noticed I had gotten up.
"Oh Sierra come here." He said.
He cradled my head into him and wrapped his arms around me.
"Come on let's get out of here." Said Draco.
Draco picked me up and we walked out of the room.
"Miss you need to sign some papers." Said a receptionist.
"Give her a fucking minute." Said Mattheo.
We left and apparated back to the manor.
(Draco's Pov)
The way she screamed was heart wrenching.
She walked in the manor and went straight to the stairs.
Everyone came running.
"Sierra are you okay?" Said Theo.
"Don't be a dumbass of course she's not." I said.
Mattheo and I walked to her room and knocked on the door.
"Can we come in?" Said Mattheo.
"No." She said.
Mattheo and I walked back downstairs to grab some things she was gonna need.
"Did her dad?"
"Yes." I said replying to Pansy.
I started pouring her water and Mattheo grabbed a tissue box.
"Fuck is she gonna be okay?" Asked Enzo.
"I don't know." Said Mattheo.
We walked back upstairs and knocked again.
No reply.
We opened the door and she was sitting on the bed with her head in her arms.
We shut the door and sat next to her.
I slowly lifted her head up and my heart broke when I saw the look on her face.
She put her head on my shoulder and let it out.
I rubbed her back and kissed her cheek.
"I know darling, I know." I said.
She pushed me away and looked at me.
"NO YOU DON'T KNOW, YOUR PARENTS ARE ALIVE." She screamed.
"I'm sorry I'm so sorry." I said.
Mattheo grabbed her and held her towards him.
Mattheo lifted her head up and grabbed a tissue.
"Wipe your eyes darling."
"What's the point I'm just gonna cry some more anyways." She said pushing it away.
Sierra turned back around and sat by me.
"I didn't mean to yell I just can't control myself."
"Don't worry about it darling."
She leaned against me and I grabbed her again.
"Drink some water darling." I said lifting her head up.
I put the glass to her mouth and slowly let her drink water.
(Sierras Pov)
10 hours later
It's 10:00pm and I finally calmed down a bit.
Draco and Mattheo haven't left my side once.
I sat on the couch with my head in Draco's lap and my hips on Mattheos.
Mattheo gave me a nice leg massage which helped me relax.
Narcissa walked in and sat next to us.
She brought a little teddy bear with her.
"I've been researching ways to help with grief. One of them said stuffys are good with comfort." She said.
I grabbed the bear and held in tightly in my arms.
"Thank y-you." I said.
Suddenly Lucius walked in.
"I'm so sorry for your loss." He said.
I softly smiled.
"Draco remember your task, you have until end of June." He said.
"Shit I forgot about that."
Lucius walked out.
"Should we go to bed now darling?" Said Draco.
I nodded.
"Come on let's go baby." Said Mattheo.
He lifted me up and we entered my room.
"Let's go wash up and change and then we'll lay in bed." Said Draco.
"I can't I just need to sleep." I said.
"You don't have to, we'll do it for you." Said Mattheo.
So they did.
They brushed my teeth for me and put my pajamas on.
Draco opened the bed.
"Can we leave you here for a moment as we get ready?" Said Draco.
I nodded.
They left to the washroom and I remembered something.
I get to read the first page of Mattheos book.
I grabbed it from my night stand and opened it up.
It's January 3rd which means we return to hogwarts tomorrow. That sucks but hey atleast we spent the break together. Ok well enjoy your last day off love you!
I bawled my fucking eyes out.
They walked back in and ran towards me.
"What happened?" Said Mattheo.
I showed him the book and opened it to the first page.
He smiled at me and rubbed my cheek.
I lied in bed and they both lied next to me.
I still had the teddy bear wrapped in my hands and I put my cheek on the pillow.
"Darling what do you want from us tonight.
Do you wanna be held or do you want space?" Asked Draco.
"Hold me please just hold me." I said crying.
He faced me and pulled me towards his body.
Mattheo was behind me and I felt him massaging my back.
Draco kissed my forehead.
(Mattheos Pov)
Its been an hour and she's finally asleep.
She couldn't stop crying and eventually Draco had to give her a potion to knock her out.
