I think someone is having a conversation nearby. I definitely heard a bunch of whispering.
"Y/n... Y/n..."
H-Huh...?
I opened my eyes.
Gus and Willow were in front of me.
But they weren't the ones who woke me up... Where's Hunter...?
...It was then that I was hit with the realisation.
I got extremely flustered and backed away from his chest.
"U-Um, how long was I sleeping...?"
"About a day and a half."
Hunter shrugged.
"A WHAT now?!"
"Yeah, we had to feed him like a toddler because he refused to move."
Willow smiled a teasing smile, crossing her hands.
"Here comes the sky ship~"
Gus playfully mocked, pretending to shove a spoon in Hunter's face.
"S-Shut up."
He scoffed.
"How's your back?"
I tried to move.
The pain was still there, but I could at least function properly.
"Almost healed perfectly."
"Great to hear."
Willow said.
"Alright so why did you wake me up?"
I wondered.
"I'm surprised you haven't heard the call we just had with Darius. How long haven't you slept properly?"
Gus asked.
I ignored the question.
"Darius?"
"The rebellion against the emperor's coven has a plan to stop the day of unity and we are apart of it. We are going to protect Luz."
Hunter told me.
"More like we were called, as Luz's friends, and Hunter begged us to come.
So you are coming with."
Gus laughed. Hunter glared at him. Willow elbow him.
"When?"
I looked through the window. It was almost sundown.
"Now, if you are good to go."
"Oh Heck yeah!!"
I immediately stood up. Luckily, the muffled pain didn't bother me at all.
I am in a better state than I expected.

We've arrived at a forest. It was so pretty, everything was beautiful, colored orange because of the closening sunset.
"What? I don't need a security escort!"
I heard Luz's voice. It feels as if it's been forever since I last saw her.
"Did you hear that, Gus?"
Willow grinned.
"Yeah, I know, I guess we'll just have to go home. Well, it's been fun. See you around, Luz the Human."
Luz chuckled, quickly getting emotional and hugging her friends.
"Waitwaitwait! Of course I want you around! I'm so happy! ...And confused?
I thought you were all keeping it low after happened at Hexside."
"They were,"
Hunter interrupted.
I waved at Luz.
"But then they heard Darius ordered me to protect you."
"More like he begged us to come because he's terrified of getting recognized."
Gus revealed. Hunter scoffed, embarrassed.
"Hey there, buddy!"
I whispered to King.
"Hunter, are you really up for this? You must be dealing with a lot after learning-"
"-That Belos is evil??"
Hunter cut Luz off, nervously laughing.
He wants to keep the grimwalker thing a secret. I understand. Me too.
"Don't worry, I'm A-OK!"
He performed a cool handshake with Gus.
"Woah!"
I laughed.
"I didn't know you had one!
"We made it up while you were sleeping,"
He told me while Hunter went to talk to Luz.
"I can teach you.
Nono, we can make one up!"
"Everyone, we've got to go! We have plans to follow."
Willow reminded all of us.
Right.
We arrived at the Blight's house to get Amity. We had to pass through a couple scouts but that wasn't a problem at all.
Luz broke in through the window, and we heard sounds of happiness from a sweet reunion.
In the corner of my eye I saw the two sharing a kiss. I looked away, flustered.
Hunter squeezed my hand.
Soon enough, Luz and Amity were down with us.
"We are going to the factory. I don't think my parents understand how they are helping the emperor by building the automatons."
Amity told us.
We nodded and followed her to the big factory. The place seems to be swarmed by scouts. Gus had an idea, using his illusion magic to disguise us as Steves.
We had to make sure he is not too distracted, or else he will lose focus and we will be revealed.
Luz decided to leave King behind. I felt bad for him. I know how it feels to want to help and not being able to. But I also understand that he needs to be kept safe.
We sneaked inside with another group of guards. We witnessed kikimora trying out a new abomaton.
Haha, I think she was demoted to a delivery person.
"That's my dad's workshop,"
Amity told us, leading us to a side room.
"AHEM. These rooms are off-limits."
Odalia Blight appeared behind us.
Hunter and I exchanged glances.
"Follow our lead."
He told the rest.
"Mrs. Blight!"
I exclaimed, saluting. The others didn't do it as well as Hunter and I, but hopefully it was believable enough.
"Kikimora told us of your products. Such inventions would be invaluable assets to the Emperor's Coven."
I told her.
"Yeah, and we are all about invaluable assets."
Luz tried to add.
"Can't get enough of 'em!"
Gus laughed.
"I'm an asset gal myself."
Willow helped.
Amity stayed silent so her mother won't recognised her.
"I apologize for the trouble. They are new. We'll return to our duties."
Hunter excused.
As we attempted to leave, kikimora blocked our path.
"I thought I recognized that annoying voice."
We were surrounded. As we backed away, Gus tripped on something and our disguises were revealed.
Oh, Titan help us.
No matter how much we fought or struggle, we found ourselves restrained with abomination magic inside an orb. It was too strong of a magic, even Amity couldn't get free of it.
I wondered if not having a mother at all is better than having a bad mother.
"Don't you get it? You're helping a witch hunter destroy everything!"
Amity argued.
"Really, Mittens... I am tired of all this drama. Sneaking around in little disguises, convincing the twins to act out, are you trying to make me look bad?"
"She's trying to help people."
Luz insisted.
"Hush, brat."
The eldest Blight scoffed, which angered the youngest.
"Don't you talk to my girlfriend like that!"
Never seem her THAT angry. It was sweet, in a way. Being protective of a person she genuinely loves with her heart.
Hunter glanced at me, shyly looking away when I noticed.
He would definitely fight for me like that.
"Girlfriend? Oh, no, no. That won't do."
Odalia disapproved.
"We'll find you a new girlfriend. Someone who's not on wanted posters everywhere."
Amity tried to fight her way out. I already tried, it was useless. We just need to recognise a good opportunity and strike.
Kikimora blocked Hunter's and my view.
"I always knew you were rotten to the core. Belos will probably snap you in two after I hand you over. Maybe he'll make ME the new Golden Guard!"
Hunter's eyes widened.
"Shut up, brat!"
I stood in front of her.
"Wow, I thought it was just rumours, but you ARE useless."
"You little-"
Luz got in front of us.
"Leave them alone!"
"I'm surprised you're even here, human. Aren't all your friends at the Day of Unity?"
Luz gasped.
"Oh, that's right. The Emperor has eyes everywhere. And they're all pointed at the Owl Lady."
Kikimora walked off. Luz was looking at the ground, thinking SO HARD that her brain might explode.
She then signalled Hunter and Gus to come with her, perhaps for consulting or second opinion.
I stood next to Willow as we helplessly watched Amity try to release us.
After another blow, the orb cracked.
With another one, it collapsed.
"WHAT?!"
Odalia was in disbelief. Our restraints disappeared.
"How did I do that? Was it the power of believing in myself?"
Amity almost didn't believe it herself.
"No, it was the power of SCIENCE!"
Someone announced.
"But you almost had it, sweetie."
"It's her dad!"
Willow smiled.
He was walking with a device. Right beside him was King.
"Odalia, the Emperor is planning to wipe out everyone with a Draining Spell, and our Abomatons are helping him do it."
Odalia looked unfazed
She already knew?!
Alador Blight failed to talk some sense to his wife.
"This is too much, even for you."
He attacked. I wanted to help but kikimora tried to crash on us.
I pulled Hunter and Willow back while Luz sped through and saved Gus and Amity.
Huh. I didn't know she had speed powers. Is that a new glyph?
"HUNTER!"
I shouted when kikimora kidnapped him. He tried to struggle out of grasp but couldn't.
She ran away with him into a building.
I was blinded with determination to save him. Willow used her vines, Amity used her abomination magic.
Gus tried to focus on his magic.
Luz was a bit stunned, not sure how to use her glyphs to help.
I tried to kick and to trip the abomaton multiple times, but I was thrown to the ground.
"I don't need all you cretins, but this one is mine!"
Kikimora laughed, launching in the air.
"NO!"
I called after her, but it was too late.
"Nononono he can't be taken to the emperor,"
I feared for his wellbeing.
Willow tried to comfort me.
Luz looked at me with a sad expression.
We exited the building. Odalia left. All the abomatons were destroyed.
"The ship!"
Willow pointed.
The two of us rushed inside.
"Hey, wait!"
Amity called after us.
"Come on, stupid thing, we have to follow them!"
Willow scolded as we tried to activate the ship. I almost started crying in frustration.
"Dad, can you use it to shut kikimora's abomaton?"
Alador sighed in denial.
"You want to rescue your friend, eh?
You'll need a pilot."
He smiled.
"And Luz, I apologize for Odalia. You are always welcome at our home."
He told Luz.
She awkwardly nodded.
"You can stop trying, Y/n. We will get there eventually."
Willow tried to calm me down as Alador approached.
"It'll take some time,"
He launched the vehicle.
"But your friend's a tough one, he seems like he can hang on."
"You don't understand!"
I cried out.
"Belos will kill him in no-time for going against him like that! He is replaceable in his eyes, but not for me!"
I collapsed onto the floor, crying. Willow tried her best to comfort me, but it wasn't the same comfort I get from Hunter.
Luz looked saddened. She wanted to say something to me but couldn't. Gus seemed to be struggling about something.
Amity got closer to Luz, but something seemed off.
"Now I'll never have the chance to tell him- t-to tell him--"
Even now, the words got stuck in my throat.
"O-Oh Titan I love him so much..."
I managed to whisper.
Willow hugged me.
"Uh, Luz? Are you feeling alright, sweet potato?"
Amity asked her blushing girlfriend.
"Ugh!"
Gus let out, completely exhausted. Suddenly, Hunter appeared instead of Luz.
I froze in shock.
"I'm confused."
Alador commented from the front of the ship.
"W-What's going on?"
Amity backed away.
"I-I'm sorry, it happened so fast! I didn't even realize what was going on... until she was gone..."
Hunter tried to explain.
"She... she wanted to protect you. And Eda."
Gus was exhausted. Willow helped him stand up.
"Then that means..."
"She's being taken to Belos."
Amity said in horror.
These past few days were too much.
Even for me. I passed out.
