*10 Years Later*

Life really was like a hurricane in Duckberg. As the years go by, everyone has their own journey. Well, almost everyone. Y/n Vanderquack has done hers, and now, she has enough training to work under McDuck Enterprises scientists and inventors.
Y/n was eagerly walking as she was going back to her family's home at McDuck manor. It's been 10 years since she's stepped a foot in there, and now she is becoming another intern under Scrooge Mcducks laboratory. Ever since the incident at Tokyo, Y/n has been researching for jobs around Tokyo for scientists like herself, and luckily she was able to work under a laboratory till she got certified. She heard of internship at McDuck Enterprises, to which she knew she had to join, to see her family again and have her first actual job as a scientist.
Y/n POV:
I eagerly walked to the McDuck manor with my sketches. It's been a while since I set a foot in Duckberg. There was so much I missed these past 10 years. First, there's the family that I haven't seen in years, then there's Della's children, and *gasp* Webbigail! I'll finally meet her for the first time! There was just so much that I missed!
I continued to walk till someone out of nowhere, bumped right into me. This caused me to drop my projects, this seems oddly familiar. "I'm sorry about that!" Said the man. "It's alright, I didn't see you there." I said. I looked up to see another duck with a yellow button down shirt and tie. He picked up my blueprints and looked at them. "Are you a scientist?" He asked me. "Yes, I'm heading to the McDuck manor." I said.
"Wait..your the new intern working with us?!" He asked. "Us? You mean..your my boss?!" "Oh no no, only an intern myself. I'm Fenton Crackshell- Cabrera." He extended his hand for me to shake. "Y/n Vanderquack, actually if you don't mind, could you show me the directions." Kinda forgot how to get there. "Of course! Always to help a fellow scientist!" I chuckled. This was off to a coincidently great start.
When we made it to the manor, I looked at it and instant memories started to spring in my mind. My heart was racing, I didn't know how they would react, yes I know they were aware of my arrival, it's meeting my sister and everything while also meeting Della's kids. Speaking of Della, I haven't heard from her in a while. Which is weird, considering how much she wants me to meet her boys.
"Well, we're here!" He said. He looked back at me to see me kinda hesitant. "Hey don't be nervous, the doctor may seem mean and snarky, but he's with a good cause." This interaction, is weirdly familiar.
We then came to the front door and Fenton knocked it. Immediately, the door opened and revealed..granny! I gasped slightly. "Granny!" I ran up and hugged her. "Y/n my dear! You've grown so much since I last saw you." She said as she caressed my cheeks. "Oh! You know each other?" Fenton said. "I'm her granddaughter, oh! Sorry Fenton, I didn't tell you I was a part of the family." "O-oh! That's a nice surprise!"
I looked at Granny's outfit to see she was wearing a maid uniform. "Granny, your a maid now? What happened to Duckworth?" "He's moved on." She then pointed to a...ghost version of Duckworth. Wait..that is Duckworth- he's dead-?
"Where's the rest of the- I stopped in my tracks as I saw a girl, staring at me, disturbingly, next to Granny. "Webby, this is your sister." Granny introduced. I hope I don't make this awkward. "Hello- Webby then literally jumped on me making me fall over. "I FINALLY HAVE AN OLDER SISTER! I'm so excited! We'll have slumber parties, tell secrets, and make friendship bracelets! Also, are you a scientist, and an adventurer?!" I chuckled at her enthusiasm and patted her head which made her eyes glow even more. "I promise I'll be able to make up all that stuff for these last 10 years!" She smiled and hugged me as I hugged her back.
"I'm glad you both got along well." Said Granny. I saw Fenton smiling at us as he came over and helped me up. "I'm so excited to go on adventures and science adventures with Y/n Vanderquack, also known my sister!" She is very hyper for a family member she just met.
"I-if you want me to Y/n, would you like me to get Dr.- "No need to worry lad, I'll take care of her." I know that Scottish voice from anywhere. I turned to see Scrooge with 3 boys in different colors to his side.
"Y/n lassy, I thought I wouldn't see you again! But here you are!" Scrooge went up to me and pat my shoulder. "It's good to be back." I said. I looked to the three children next to him. "Oh yes of course, Huey, Louie, and..." Granny then frowned and whispered 'Dewey' "oh yes! Dewey! Meet Y/n Vanderquack."
"Wait so..that's Webby's sister?!" Said the blue one, I'm assuming was Dewey. "Also Uncle Donald's sister?!" Said the green one I'm also assuming was Louie. "Our aunt is a cool scientist?!" Said the red one, Huey, smiling. "Oh great, another nerd." Said Louie. I smiled. Wait, this means these are Dellas kids!
"It's nice to meet you three!" I smiled. Huey then came up to me with a red notebook and pen in his hand. "How long have you devoted yourself to science? Is it true that you had to go through many internships to get where you are?" Well this one is a talker. "I've devoted almost my entire life basically. And yes, I have went through many internships, including this one." He continued to ask more questions before Scrooge scooted him aside. "The lass has just arrived, give her a break." I chuckled.
"Sorry to interrupt this touching moment..but um, did you want me to bring you to the lab." Said Fenton. "Oh yeah! We should probably get going." Scrooge nodded as the children stopped surrounding me. I then felt a small tug on my pants. "Um..will you be back to hang out?" Asked Webby. I smiled and knelt down to pat her head. "I promise I'll be able to come today." I held out my hand for a pinky promise. Webby squealed as she locked it.
Fenton and I walked with Scrooge to head towards the laboratory. Weird how I didn't see Donald either maybe him and Della are doing something? We walked to Scrooge's limo and Scrooge motioned us to have a seat. I sat next to Fenton as Scrooge squeezed in next to me. The driver was a muscular guy who had dirty blonde hair and to be honest, looked like a pilot.
"Ah yes. Y/n, meet Launchpad McQuack, our pilot/driver/submarine driver, list goes on and on." "Nice to meet you maam!" He said turning to me...while driving. "Nice to meet you too Launchpad, but shouldn't you..uh watch the road." I said as we narrowly almost hit a pole. "Don't worry Miss V, everything is all under control." He then almost hit a person on the road. I looked to Fenton as he smiled nervously and shrugged. I also glanced at Scrooge to see he was reading a newspaper, calmly. I just gripped onto my seat and made sure I was wearing an extra seat belt.
When we finally made it to the McDuck Enterprises. We went inside and both followed Scrooge as we went inside a elevator. Scrooge pressed the lowest level, which makes me..slightly concerned. "Think you can remember those directions lass?" Scrooge asked. Yeah. Definitely. "It's promising." "Don't worry, we can always walk to the lab together so you can remember the directions." I smiled at Fenton and nodded. "That would be nice."
The elevator then stopped to the level and immediately, what I saw was stunning. It was an underwater lab! This is the most interesting lab setting that I probably ever worked for.
"I'll go get the Dr." Fenton said as he quickly walked to grab him. "Guessing you like the view?" Scrooge asked me. "Yeah. Fancy. Indeed." I said.
I heard yelling in the distance as Fenton was walking with a much taller chicken. He looked oddly familiar to someone I know. We locked eyes for a second till Scrooge spoke up. "Ah. Gyro. This is Y/n, she'll be your second intern." I extended my hand to shake. "I'm excited to work with you Gy- wait..GYRO?! AS IN GYRO GEARLOOSE?! He looked different but almost the same. His hair was now straight to the side, he had the same hat, but his glasses were now rectangular and bigger. His buttoned down shirt was now short sleeved and he was wearing jeans instead of suit pants.
My eyes widened as I watched him shake my hand, hesitatly. "Right.." "Anyways have fun." Said Scrooge as he left for the elevator. "As if I need another annoyance." Said Gyro as soon as Scrooge left. Maybe he's not the Gyro I knew..like sheesh that was rude.
"I'll show you to your workplace, come along." He groaned. I followed him, still my heart racing thinking that it was my old friend. If he was, he obviously didn't recognize me. He brought to a small room with a desk to do my work. We were alone, but I was still wondering if I should ask. Eh, what's the harm?
"Thanks um..out of curiosity, is your name Gyro Gearloose?" He raised a brow at me, unamused. "I thought that was fairly obvious." He said crossing his arms. I pulled my collar nervously. "I don't really know if you remember, but I used to be your partner." He awkwardly frowned. "In Tokyo, Y/n Vanderquack." His eyes widened when I said that.
"I thought you looked familiar." He said. I smiled widely and went up to hug him. He jumped at this and patted my shoulder awkwardly. I pulled away, slightly embarrassed. "What happened to you?! I haven't seen in what, 10 years?" He asked. "Well I didn't think I would ever see you again. But I trained to continue my goals, then I found your place. Surprising I'm your intern now." He hummed in response. "Well, go ahead and make yourself comfortable. I actually have a job for you later today, don't be late." He then left the room. A bit snarkier then usual but it's fine I guess.
I set my stuff on my desk. I was looking forward for everything. I was already starting my first day which happens that my boss is my old friend, I really thought I wouldn't see him again. I hope to see Donald and Della later today. Something tells me this will be an interesting day-
