Morax stared off into the far distance, wise eyes glancing over the mountain tops of Qingyun Peak. As much as he wanted to feel at peace, he knew deep in his heart that a storm was coming.
The god let out a brief sigh, wind blowing through his long locks. His hood furled in the breeze, a benevolent smile spreading across his face slowly. He wanted to enjoy the moment of silence and tranquility even for a short moment. After all, a hundred years was a mere blink to him.
A new age of adepti would begin training soon. He had a gut feeling that the new batch would be the ones facing the most danger. Morax had previously warned the senior adepti, and all agreed to train them harder than ever.
He heard light footsteps approach behind him. "Sir, Cloud Retainer and Guizhong await you at Mt. Aocang."
Morax didn't even bother to turn, willing himself to appear by the lake at Mt. Aocang. It would be one of the last meals he had with his dear friends, and he wouldn't waste it.
