Your quirk is food and emotion based. Let's say someone is feeling sad or depressed. To help them with that, you would give them sugary foods. If you wanted someone to feel sad or depressed, you would also give them sugary food. Your quirk is also based on intention. It won't work unless you have the intention of doing something.
