Friday...
Sage was running late for everything that morning because she was sick to her stomach throwing up, she couldn't keep anything down. London sent the jet for her around 9 o'clock that morning and she was just now boarding at 11:45. And she was in her feelings about London having to miss her first appointment. No matter how hard he tried to get out of practice early that day coach wasn't having it.
London and Sage decided to keep things about the baby real quiet until after their first doctor's visit. So the only people who really knew about the pregnancy were Cassidy, Stu, and her mother. London didn't tell not one person because he didn't wanna fuss with Sage. Or at least that's what he told her, the only person who he told was Sincere.
She wasn't ready to tell anyone yet until it was confirmed by a doctor. Sage closed her eyes and made herself comfortable for a nap on the jet. She slept the whole 2 hours and 30 minutes without any interruptions. When she landed she went straight to her doctor's appointment. She had to reschedule it from that morning to that afternoon.
Sage was sitting back in the exam room filling out some paperwork while the nurse ran her pregnancy test. After about 20 minutes the doctor came back with the results "Well Sage you are indeed pregnant" Doctor Lewis smiled at her before she went on to ask Sage about her last period and her sexual history. The visit seemed like forever to Sage, she felt like a pin cushion with all the poking and probing.
"Okay Ms. Sage from what I can see on the ultrasound and from what you've told me. You are 8 weeks pregnant" Doctor Lewis smiled because she could tell Sage was nervous. "So a little someone has been growing inside of me for 8weeks" Sage looked down at her tiny little pudge that was sitting right on top of her jeans. She never had that before, her stomach had always been flat, super flat.
"Yes ma'am" Doctor Lewis replied while she got all of Sage's prenatal care stuff together. "I want you to start taking your vitamins every day after today" she handed everything to Sage "And if you have any questions at all please feel free to call us" she walked Sage to the door "Thank you Doctor Lewis" Sage left and went on with the rest of the day.
The next day...
London was holding Sage's hair out of her face while she was throwing up into the toilet. "It's okay Baby get it out" he rubbed her back with his other hand. This getting sick and feeling nauseous at different times of the day was killing Sage. Once she finally stopped vomiting she rinsed her mouth out "London how am I supposed to go over to your parent's house for dinner if I can't stop-" she threw up again mid-conversation
"We don't have to go" he wiped the corners of her mouth with his napkin. "I promised Royce already" she replied while she sat there putting her sneakers on "Plus I'm a little hungry now" she flashed him her tiny tummy. London bent down on his knee and lifted up her sweatshirt some to kiss her little belly "Daddy ain't never gonna let his girls go hungry" he hugged the bottom half of her waist
"Girls?" She questioned "Yea, you and my daughter... Girls?" He looked at her like she was slow. "No this is a boy" she laughed "God please I want a boy!" Sage yelled up into the sky playfully "Nah I gotta have a little you running around the crib" London stood up. Sage inched up on her tippy toes poking her lips out for a kiss, London leaned down and planted the sweetest tender kiss.
Sage tried to walk away so she could go wait for him in the car, she was ready to go and eat now. London grabbed her back into him playfully "8weeks huh?" He put his hand on her pudge "Yup, you keep shooting up the club like you're invincible. Now I'm having your son" she rolled her eyes "You mean daughter. You're having my daughter" he smiled as they walked over to the door to leave.
After their 45minute ride to his parent's house, they finally pulled up. "When we go in here please don't say anything about the baby yet London, I wanna announce it when we're further along. Okay?" She looked at him "Okay" he shook his head
He helped her out of the car and they went inside. When they walked into the house his family was having a game night. He could hear all the loud yelling from the family room "Ayo Mia stop fucking cheating all the time!" His uncle Tamir was shouting out loud "My wife ain't cheating" he heard his uncle Cash defending his aunt. Everyone in the room was laughing and enjoying each other.
They both walked into the family room. "There goes the Doctor right there" Milan got up to give Sage a hug he felt like he hadn't seen her or London in months. "Yes, congratulations on graduation Sage" Kennedy smiled at her. "Hold on so Sage you're a doctor now?" Dom was shocked, she knew Ms. Sage was in school but never knew it was for that. "Yes Auntie Dom, it's official I am a doctor now" Sage laughed because it sounded funny to her too.
"So now we have a nurse practitioner and a doctor in the family" Demi looked up at her mother. Dominic popped Demi on the head with the comb so she could keep her head straight while she was braiding her hair
"I'm proud of you Sage" Toi got up to give her a big hug. Sage didn't want to hug Toymoi in fear she might feel her little pudge under her sweatshirt. Sage was just worrying too much. She had a very tiny belly, if you didn't know her personally, you would think maybe her belly was full from eating. After having small talk with his grandmother Tamara in the kitchen Sage made herself a bigger than normal plate of food and then went into the family room so she could join in on the fun.
She sat down on the couch to devour her plate she was so hungry. Taj sat next to her "Damn little lady you gonna eat all that?" He teased Sage. "Man move, go get you some business" London pushed Taj away "What I'm just saying" Taj laughed throwing his hands up in defense "Leave my future Wife alone" Tori slapped Taj on the back of the head
"Baby I forgot my drink, I'm so thirsty" Sage made sad eyes at London so he could get her something. He kissed her greasy lips before he got up to get her something to drink. When he walked into the kitchen both his grandmothers were standing in there talking. "Toot?" Tamara looked at her grandson "Yea granny" he poured Sage some lemonade into a glass. "I think Sage is pregnant" Tamara continued to wipe down the counters.
"Nah grandma, Why do you say that?" London tried his best not to give off that he was lying. "Idk I just feel like she is" Tamara shrugged "Me too Mara, I feel like something is a little off with the good doctor today" Faith smiled "Nah none of that going on" London laughed before he left the kitchen. Both grandmothers turned to each other "He's lying" they both said to each other before laughing. "I know chile, I could tell. That girl looks so nervous today she ain't fooling nobody" Faith helped Tamara with the dishes
Sage was starting to get really nervous now because Kylie walked into the family room with 3bottles of Don Julio tequila. She didn't know how she was gonna play this off because she was normally Kylie's drinking partner at game night. "I got our favorite" Kylie held up the bottle. Sage just half smiled while her eyes searched the room for London. She didn't see him or Kacey anymore.
Kylie started pouring the shots for Sage, Millie, and Cali. Sage felt like she was sweating "I have to use the bathroom really quickly" she tried to get out of the shot "Nope you have to take your shot first Boog what's wrong with you tonight? Did my cousin do something to you?" Cali laughed "No I just been holding it a while" Sage lied
Finally, London came walking into the house. He saw Sage standing there with a shot glass, he frowned up his face before he walked over to her. He grabbed the glass and took the shot himself. "Why did you do that stupid! That was a celebratory shot for Boog graduating" Cali fussed at her cousin. "Now it's my shot, move." he mushed Cali "Annoying as hell" Milani laughed before she handed Sage another one. London took that one too.
"What is going on here? Sage, why are you letting him take your drinks" Kylie looked at her strangely because every time she poured a shot Sage was letting her brother take it. Kylie's face lit up like she had an epiphany then she smiled. London didn't like that look on his sister's face he knew that look. It meant she knew about Sage being pregnant.
"Yea why don't you have a drink Sage?" Kylie smirked at her brother. "Because she has to work in the morning" London tried to answer for her. "Unh-uh... I want Sage to answer" Kylie raised her brow. "Ryder come get my sister please" London waved Ryder over
"What's going on? Babe get out of your brother's business" Ryder tried to pull Kylie away "No Ry, I think my sister here is not telling us something" Kylie looked at Sage. "What are you talking about? Come here now Kylie" Ryder gave a look. Millie came back over towards them "Boog take half of this edible with me" Milani held up the cookie "Remember last time" Millie laughed but stopped because Sage didn't laugh with her.
"I can't do this anymore" Sage turned to London. "Do what? What is going on?" Millie was confused. "Y'all breaking up?" Millie asked. "No, I'm... pregnant" Sage finally let it slip.
"Who's pregnant?!" Milan yelled because he overheard the words pregnant and Milani's voice. "Milani I'll knock ya fucking head off your shoulders. I'm not playing" Milan walked over to the group. "Eww, not me daddy. Sage is" Millie cleared that right up
"Toot is having a baby???" Summer turned to her father Tamir. "I think so" Mir pulled his daughter closer to him putting her in a headlock. "I guess the secret is out now" London did a little nervous laugh. Toyomi was so excited she was hugging Sage super tight "I'm gonna be a grandmother again" Toi was already making plans for her unborn grandchild. "How far along are you?" Mia asked
"They told me I'm 8 weeks I went to the doctor yesterday" Sage replied "Let me see that little tummy" Toyomi cooed. Sage pulled up her little sweatshirt the belly was small but it was there. "See Fai I knew his ass was lying" Tamara turn to Faith and they both laughed
London pulled Sage closer to him for a hug "I'm sorry about my nosey ass family" he leaned down to kiss her lips "Now we have to tell my family" she looked up at him "iight I already told your brother though I ain't want him to trip on me. Surprisingly he took it very well" he paused
Sage was relieved the hard part was over now she could relax a little... London was so excited to be a father. Nervous but excited "My baby is having my baby" he looked down at her
They decided to stay the night over at his parent's house it was getting late and Sage was getting sleepy and moody...
