Previously on Her Secret:
"Now let the Magic Knights Entrance Exam.... begin!"

"Let's get this over with," Yami groans. "The sooner we start, the sooner we'll get this over with."
"This exam is going to decide these youths' futures," William replies calmly. "You really shouldn't be taking it so lightly."
"You take it seriously enough for all of us," Yami retorts
Y/n sighs and shakes her head. "Please Captain Yami. Take it seriously for once this year."
Yami groans again. "Sure whatever."
Down in the arena below, Asta and Yuno stare up in awe at the captains
"All the captains in one place."
Asta turns to the sound of the voice and finds a man walking towards him
"Hey kid. I'm Sekke Bronzazza," he says (an: god I hate him)
"Nice to meet you, I'm Asta," the green eyed boy replies
Each magic knight squad captain is said to be more powerful than a hundred mages combined. From their illustrious ranks will become the next wizard king
"Is the wizard king here too?" Asta exclaimed
"Like he would bother with something like this," Sekke laughs. "Just getting all the squad captains in one place is amazing. And her"
He looked up at the h/c girl up on the balcony, talking with William and Nozel. "I wonder who she is"
"Oh that's Y/n!" Asta explained. "She's really pretty!"
"Attention examinees," William's voice is confident. "Thank you for waiting. I will be administering this year's exam."
He held out his golden grimoire
"Magic Trees Decent"
A green light glowed around him and a large tree formed above, stretching down towards the members in the arena and gave them all a broom
"The 9 magic knight squad captains will be serving as your judges," William explained. "And when the exam is complete, we will choose the individuals we want on our squads. If you are chosen, you are in. If more than one squad wants you, you will decide where you would like to be. If you are not chosen, then you are deemed unqualified to be a magic knight."
"And now for your first test. You must use the brooms you've been given to fly," William continued his explanation
This caused the crowd to murmur amongst themselves
"To fly?"
"I've never done that before"
"A mage who is in control of his or her magic power can do it on instinct alone," William stated
Y/n hopped on her broom for demonstration and she was immediately in the air. She sat sideways with her legs hanging over the side, one leg crossed over the other
William gestured to Y/n. "It is our most basic way to get from one place to another. If you can't fly on a broom, then you are not worth our time
'Geez William. You didn't need to be that harsh' Y/n thought
The examinees got on their brooms and tried controlling their magic to lift them in their air. Most had trouble at first but eventually got themselves up. Well, everyone except Yuno. He, being the amazing wizard he is, was up on his broom instantly, flying higher that the rest of them, and standing up
Meanwhile, Asta, having no magic at all, couldn't get into the air, no matter how hard he tried. Y/n watched the boy with concern. William noticed the young girl watching the magicless boy
'It seems she's taken a liking to him' he thought
"What's going on down there?" Fuegoleon questions, his hand on his chin. "Even if he doesn't have any significant talent, he still should be able to float."
Y/n scratched the back of her neck. "Well about that, he doesn't have any magic."
All the captains stared at her in puzzlement, shock or disgust
"If he doesn't have any magic, then why is he even here?" Nozel sighed
"Hey! Give him a chance! He may not have any magic, but he's strong. I've seen it myself. He will amaze you I promise!" Y/n replied, her voice rising slightly
Nozel sighed and looked back at the ash blond haired boy. "Yes Lady Y/n."
"Please don't call me that Nozel," Y/n smiled, before turning back to the examinees
"If you'll excuse me for a moment," Nozel said before getting up
Y/n watched him leave and decided to follow him
Meanwhile, Asta was still struggling to get into the air while the others around him laughed at his misfortune
"Can you believe this guy?"
"Well that's one down at least"
"Why did he even bother to come?"
"Hey what are you doing?" Sekke called, flying over to Asta. "This is supposed to be the easy part. They to relax your muscles a bit."
"Wow. That's so awesome!" Asta exclaimed
"Don't tense up. Just let it come naturally," Sekke added
No matter how hard Asta tried, nothing happened
Leaning on one of the pillars stood the youngest member of the Silva family, Noelle
"Right," she said to herself, before heading to walk out into the arena, broom in her hands
"What are you doing?"
She freezed in her tracks. "I just- I mean..."
"Don't play dumb with me," Nozel interrupted. "I've told you before, royalty need not undergo the same tests as common folk.
"Yes but-" Noelle started
"Enough. Where you will go has already been decided," Nozel stated
"Nozel"
He turned around to see the adoptive daughter of the Wizard King herself. "I would suggest you get back to the judges area to observe the rest of the exam."
Nozel tool one last look at Noelle before scoffing at returning to his place among his fellow captains. Y/n placed a reassuring hand on Noelle's shoulder. Noelle looked at the h/c girl
"Hey its gonna be alright," Y/n encouraged. "Even if Nozel won't let you into the Silver Eagles, I'm sure you will do great things which ever squad you join. Don't listen to his or Nebra or Solid's comments. You're amazing. You just have to realize that you can do it. If you need help with your magic, just come find me. I'm more than happy to help!"
Y/n gave the youngest Silva a bright smile before heading back to the captains viewing area. Little did she know, her words did reassure the silver haired girl and she felt more confident than she ever did before
When she returned to the viewing area, Nozel called her over. "I don't know why you're being so nice to her. She's useless and weak."
"Yeah well. Maybe you're just to self centered to realize her true potential. And maybe instead of being as ass of a big brother, you could help her."
Y/n walked away and stood back next to William, leaving Nozel to consider her words
The rest of the exam went smoothly. Everyone was showing that they have what it takes to be a magic knight. Well everyone except Asta. Every test that came his way, he couldn't do anything about it. No magic = no magic knight.
"Onto the next and final test," William announced. "This test is the most difficult. A display of combat skill."
This caused the crowd to gasp and murmur amongst themselves once again
"Prepare to duel!" Fuegoleon yelled, staind up from his chair. "You will break into pairs and fight each other! Use your grimoires to attack and defend!"
"I bet losing will tank your chance of being chosen," someone in the crowd commented
"As knights, battle is our business," Fuegoleon continued. "We want to see everything you're capable of!"
"The match will end when one combatant either surrenders or is unable to continue," William added
"We have mages weilding recovery magic on standby if needed," Y/n chimed in
"So don't hold anything back!" Fuegoleon yelled
"Now, choose your partner!" William exclaimed
