The Inevitable sailed up to the port of Mukesh Island which was surrounded with green fog, giving it an eerie and polluted atmosphere. Captain Crow stood near the railing, looking at the island with narrowed eyes and a grim expression. The people on the docks of the island, noticed the nearly sunken boat approach with surprise.
"Is that the Inevitable?"
"What are they doing here?"
...
Crow stepped off the ship and started walking along the dock.
"Captain!" Sarah called from the ship, making him pause. "We don't need this. We're hunters." she reminded him.
"Only if we kill it." He replied, and kept walking.
...
Captain Crow made his way up some stone stairs that lead up a hill, to a small house that sat at the top of the hill.
...
Crow threw the door open which revealed a set of stairs heading downwards. With a determined expression, he marched down the stairs, as the door closed behind him.
...
The room the stairs lead to was dimly lit by candles, and there were several jars, vials, and knives that were littered on tables and all around the room.
Captain Crow barely glanced at them as he made his way forward to a figure that standing in front of a cauldron, with her back facing him.
"I know why you're here, Captain." The figure spoke. "It's always the same reason, you see."
Captain Crow didn't respond, and just stared at her back with a neutral expression, as she continued.
"And I can give you what you need." The woman picked up some ingredients and clapped them in her hands so the turned to dust, and sprinkled them in her cauldron. "A poison powerful enough to take down the greatest of beasts, and a weapon strong enough to deliver it deep."
Gwen Batterbie turned to face Captain Crow. She was a short woman, with crazy white hair, piercing eyes, and a face that was kind of similar to a bird.
"You know what they say about me, Captain?" Gwen asked, as she began walking around the Captain. "Them what come see Gwen Batterbie get what they want, but won't see a good day after. Yet here you are."
"I don't believe in them superstitions." Crow told her.
Gwen looked up at him and she smirked. "No, I don't suppose you do."
The beast tattoo on Crows chest seemed to come to life as it moved from his chest to around his neck.
"But you will." She promised with an evil, sinister smile.
...
Gwen opened two large doors to reveal a giant spear, and the machinist to launch it.
"It's me most terrible creation." She declared, with pride. "The Hand of God, I calls it."
"What will it cost me?" Crow asked her.
Gwen Batterbie turned to face him. "Everything, Captain. I take everything."
Crow narrowed his eyes at her.
"So, do we have a deal?"
...
Jacob was still working on the boat while Maisie, (Y/n) and Blue sat inside it. Maisie had managed to get one of the fruits open perfectly with her knife, and tossed one half to Blue.
Jacob picked up the sack that contained their food, and everyone noticed that it was empty, and they all shared a look of concern.
...
Jacob, (Y/n), Maisie and Blue stood on Red's fin, and Jacob was holding a spear with a rope attached to it, and doing some stretches to warm himself up (And maybe impress (Y/n)).
Jacob held his spear over his head, and threw it at the school of fish that were swimming by them, but missed.
Jacob glanced at (Y/n) and Maisie who looked at him expectantly, and he just awkwardly cleared his throat. Jacob tried over and over again to catch some fish with his spear, but they kept dodging it, making Jacob grow more and more frustrated.
After another failed attempt, Jacob let out a frustrated yell. Red softly grunted, and Jacob turned to glare at her, as she looked at him with a bored expression.
"Yeah, well, you know, I'm uh...I'm used to a bigger target, alright?" Jacob excused.
(Y/n) gave him a sympathetic pat on the back for his efforts.
Red let out a soft snort, gaining their attention, and turned her body to start swimming in a circle, trapping a bunch of fish in that circle.
The three watched in awe, as fish started jumping out of the water, and Jacob sat down and watched Maisie and (Y/n) try to catch one.
One jumped near (Y/n), and she tried to catch it, but it flopped around too much, and she stumbled back, and fell into Jacob's lap. Jacob wrapped his arms around her to steady her, and they both shared a look, before bursting out laughing.
Another fish jumped out near them, and Maisie managed to catch it, at held it up triumphantly.
"Dinner time!"

A couple fish later, everyone was full and happy. Especially Blue, who was lying in the boat surrounded by fish bones, looking chubbier than usual.
Jacob was working on the boat, and watched as Blue rolled himself over and dragged his body out of the boat, and slid down Red's back.
Jacob looked at where Blue had gone, and noticed Maisie and (Y/n) continuing to pull out spears.
Jacob walked over to Maisie who was struggling to pull one spear out, and put his hands on it as well. Maisie looked up at him with surprise, but smiled, as they both pulled the spear out making Red growl softly.
Jacob held the spear in his hand, and turned it over to the see the symbol of the Inevitable on it. The symbol was of a fish, with two spears in the shape of an X behind it. He frowned at the spear and dropped it.
"You know, maybe (Y/n) could use your help as well." Maisie suggested not so subtly.
Jacob turned to look at (Y/n) who was still pulling out spears. He watched her with admiration, and a small smile crept onto his face.
Maisie came forward and nudged him, urging him to go talk to her. Jacob looked down at Maisie and nodded at her.
He took a few steps forward, but paused and started to have second thoughts. "I-I don't know, I mean she looks pretty busy..." he told Maisie.
The little girl narrowed her eyes at Jacob, firmly stuck her arm out and pointed in (Y/n)'s direction. Jacob hesitated, but took a deep breath, and walked over to her.
(Y/n) grunted as she pulled out a spear that was lodged quite deep. The force from her pulling it out, made her stumble back a bit. She would have fallen, if it hadn't been for the pair of hands that grabbed her hips and steadied her.
(Y/n) glanced over her shoulder and saw Jacob smiling at her. "Thanks." She said sheepishly.
"Any time, love." Jacob replied with a wink.
The girl blushed, and tossed the spear to the side, and tried to turn and keep going, but Jacob gently grabbed her hand and pulled her back to him.
She waited for him to say something, but all he did was stare into her eyes.
"Um, is there something you need, Jacob?" She asked.
Jacob blinked and cleared his throat. "Uh, well yes actually, there is...um...I wanted...I just wanted to say...that I..."
Jacob paused, the words getting stuck in his throat. (Y/n) leaned a little closer to him.
"That you..." she pressed.
"That I...owe you an apology."
(Y/n) raised her eyebrows in surprise. She hadn't expected this. "Uh...For what?"
"Well...I haven't exactly been the most...well behaved during this little adventure. I was rude to you...and said some things I didn't mean."
Jacob took both of (Y/n)'s hands on his.
"You're not soft, (Y/n). You're the strongest person I know. And I meant when I said that your compassion for not wanting to kill them beasts is something I admire. And I'm sorry that I yelled at you for cutting them lines. Truth is, if you hadn't we'd all probably be dead by now."
(Y/n) grinned widely and threw her arms around Jacob's neck. He stumbled back a bit from shock, but immediately hugged her back as well.
"I forgive you, Jacob." She said, as they pulled apart. "And I'm sorry I yelled at you too. I didn't mean what I said."
"It's alright, love. So...does that mean you don't think I'm a terrible kisser then?" He teased.
(Y/n)'s eyes widened and her cheeks flushed red. She had forgotten that she said that. And she had forgotten that Jacob had kissed her.
"Uh...well...I...I don't know about that." she shrugged, acting aloof.
"Well, if you ever want to double check, you know where to find me." Jacob told her, cockily throwing an arm around her shoulder and squishing her to his chest.
(Y/n) snorted and playfully pushed him away. "Oh, shut up."
"I'm just saying..." Jacob shrugged.
(Y/n) rolled her eyes. "Okay, Captain Sweet Talker. I'm gonna go pull out the rest of these spears." She ruffled his hair, and walked away.
Jacob's eyes widened a bit when he realized she was leaving, and reached and hand out, and opened his mouth to call her back, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. He dropped his arm back, and sighed.
"What was that? You were doing so well!" Maisie harshly whispered at him.
"It-it wasn't the right time, okay!" Jacob snapped defensively.
"Well, when is the right time?!" Maisie asked.
"It's...You know...it's...I'll just know okay!?" Jacob explained.
Maisie narrowed her eyes. "Alright. But you better confess soon. No more excuses." She pointed an accusing finger at him.
"Alright, alright." Jacob rolled his eyes, before turning away to help (Y/n) with the spears.
After he left, Maisie let out a sigh and picked up Blue in her arms. "At this rate, you'll be fully grown before Jacob tells (Y/n) his feelings." She mumbled, before going to help pull out the spears as well.
