Review: Yo ho, all hands, hoist the colors high! This is a very original take on the pirate genre, with a very riveting opening set of chapters. Only suggestion would be to try and incorporate some of the exposition in dialogue as opposed to just paragraphs. Regardless, a very epic entry and worth the read! Be ready to set sail on an epic journey!

Review: Wow, this story REALLY tugs at the heartstrings. The opening scene with the uncle on his deathbed, the themes of mental health, anxiety etc. all make for a very relatable protagonist. One suggestion I have is maybe add a COUPLE more characters in the first chapter, such as some house maids or something. Or maybe even a couple pets? Nothing to detract from the main character, just to add more depth to the opening scenes. Other than that, great work!

Review: Well SHEESH! This story does not pull any punches with dark, gruesome material. The first few sentences are sure to hook the reader and keep them engaged. And the backdrop from the get-go is VERY dark and brooding. However, some of the gory scenes are a little TOO repetitive...we only need to read about the guard licking his sword once after the kills, and that's enough to get the point across. Regardless, great entry!
