Once Y/N and her friends had finally arrived to the other side, she wished she could enjoy the view with Kris longer. But Noelle didn't have any more time to wait for them, nor does their world. Following Kris as well as the others, they had returned back to where they come from.
And a new path was laid out, the barrier now gone. Heading onward, there was a large shop with large speakers on the side. Crash! Book! Bang! There's a terrible noise coming from the building nearby. Opening the door, they were met with familiar faces. "Yo!" "What's up!" "Hey!" The music trio greeted the Lightners. Before they could buy anything, they decided to talk with their new allies. "Let's trade info! I'm Sweet!" Sweet introduced himself again. "The ladies call me Cap'n!" Cap'n dipped his cap and adjusted his sunglasses. He winked towards Y/N who shifted uncomfortably. "K.K!" K.K exclaimed. Music played around the shop, and Y/N couldn't help but step her foot to the beat. "We used to work the sound in this town," Sweet told the heroes. "Until Queen came around," Cap'n said darkly. "K.K is short for Cakes," K.K plainly informed them. "She made music against the law," Sweet declared angrily. Y/N couldn't help but gasp slightly. And with music of all things, who would ever make music against the law!? "Unless you make a song she likes," K.K muttered. "But the only JUNK she enjoys.." "Are reverse diss-tracks, where the vocalist puts themselves down, and praises Queen," Sweet finished Cap'n's sentence with disapproval for Queen's taste in music. "Or noise music," Cap'n added. "But if even Queenie tries to put a limiter on us, you can't STOP! THE! MUSIC!!" Sweet pointed his finger up with, not backing down. "Hear that!? We'll just go underground!!" Cap'n yelled with Sweet. "Crash! Boom! Bang!" K.K cheered.
"That's why we made this Junk Shop!" Sweet told the team. "We'll fund our musical rebellion!" Cap'n said. "Can we make noise music too?" K.K asked his friends. "Okay okay we get it! You don't have to announce it to the world," Susie growled. "Ah! Well since we're both after Queen, we'll gladly help fund your rebellion," Ralsei beamed kindly towards the trio. "We appreciate it young lad," Cap'n said towards him. "Can we see your performance?" Y/N went up to the counter. "What, wanna see what we got!?" Sweet said excitedly. Y/N eagerly nodded. "Well prepare for what the Sweet Cap'n Cakes has in store!" He closed his eye. Sweet, Cap'n, and K.K danced for about a few seconds.
"Yo, how was that!?" Cap'n asked the four. "Did you get rocked!?" Sweet eagerly asked. "All our songs are only 4 seconds long," K.K said. "That was...amazing!" Ralsei said awkwardly. The sellers smiled successfully. "Can you tell us about Queen?" Kris's quiet, soothing voice asked them. "Queen wasn't always so..harsh," Sweet pondered for a sec. "No, she WAS! She just got WORSE somehow!" Cap'n corrected him. "It wasn't till that Dark Fountain showed up," Sweet scoffed. "That she started going overdrive," Cap'n continued, shaking at the thought. The Lightners looked at each other when hearing this. The King was like this too, just like when the Fountain from the previous Dark World showed up. 'It has something to do about the Knight,' she recalled. 'But..why would they be opening up these Fountains?'
"'Knight' this, 'Knight' that, 'Fountain' that," Sweet mocked Queen. She was right, it did have something to do with the Knight. "Like, what does that Knight even have going for it that I don't!? C'mon!!" Cap'n complained. But Y/N barely heard him as questions started to prod her mind. This Knight had started this, but what was their intention? Who are they exactly?
"But like I said. She wasn't ALWAYS so bad. She used to give me sweets. For being so sweet!" Sweet continued on, almost laughing at the pun he made. "H-Huh!? I never got candy!!" Cap'n grumbled. "You kept on calling her a 'hot mama' Cap," Sweet crossed his arms towards him. Y/N was surprised that she wasn't surprised by this. "Yeah!? Is that wrong!? She looks like a mom and tends to overheat!" Cap'n defended himself. "K.K, help me out here!!" Cap'n turned desperately towards his tall green friend. "K.K! What do you think?" Sweet turned to him too. "Huh? Me?" K.K said, confused. "I like candy," he said. Everyone went silent to that. "Yeah..yeah you're right, K.K! We gotta focus on what's important!" Sweet shook his head agreeably. "If the band, we'll get out of tune," Cap'n agreed too. "Anyone have any lemon drops?" K.K asked to anyone. "Well it doesn't matter whether she was good before, or if she gave you...candy, we're still going to kick her ass, and whoever this Knight is," Susie huffed with confidence. Even though Susie wasn't the best in speeches, Y/N smiled and nodded her head enthusiastically.
"What kind of Junk Work do you do?" Kris asked the three DJs quietly. "Our main gig is making scrap into machines," Sweet informed the team. "Our clients are sometimes a bit off-key though," Cap'n added, seeming to look back at their past clients. "They smell off-key too," K.K sided. "Like some..weird little guy," Sweet tried to remember. Y/N tilted her head with curiosity. "He wanted us to sneak into Queen's mansion," Cap'n explained. "We're just rebels, we don't wanna get in trouble!" K.K shook his head disapprovingly. "But recently we got a real-class-client," Sweet informed the four. "A man if TASTE! He had a way with words!!" Cap'n admired. "I couldn't even understand him!" K.K exclaimed. 'Hold on. This sounds awfully familiar to..'
"Now all we gotta do is follow the blueprints, right?" Sweet motioned his teammates. "It'll be our big time break!!" Cap'n was exhilarated. "Yeah! Haha!! It's gonna break apart! Big time! " K.K said nonchalantly.
"See ya!" "Smell ya!" "Hear ya!" The team left the shop of music, with their new rebellious allies all determined behind their counter. They had brought a few healing items and a few upgrades. Now that they were ready to continue their adventure, Y/N was weirdly powered by noise music.
*Time Skip*
After many battles against enemies and solving puzzles, Y/N was relieved to reach the end of this area. Exhausted, she decided to eat a CD Bagel. Strangely, it radiated if music, and her health was raised near to full health. Her exhaustion was now gone, replaced with new strength. The team approached a set of teacups, just like before. They all jumpe in, quickly getting cozy. The ride went up, thew view of the Cyber City never getting old as the lights continued to fascinate Y/N. The teacup ride went up faster, already knowing that Kris was navigating the ride to hit the speed boosts.
To Y/N's surprise, there was no platform waiting for her. And as she looked up, a smashed was coming down her way. Instinctively, she jumped out of the ride, and landed on another teacup set. She let out a breath of relief to see that everyone had done the same. Y/N noticed Kris reaching out to her in worry, but before they could, the ride starting going up again. Without even tune to think, Kris had to navigate the ride again. And with the same result, they had to transition to a new ride before they could be flatten like pancakes. But Y/N was starting to notice that each ride had gotten shorter and shorter. Until finally, they reached the end and landed in the green floor. "I think I'm going to be sick," Susie groaned. "There there Susie," Raised patted her back with a nervous smile. A dizziness was slowly overcoming Y/N from the amount if times she had to jump out with the ride going fast. "I think so too," Y/N shut her eyes trying to regain her focus. Y/N felt pats on her head. Opening back her eyes, she was met with Kris gently comforting her with light pats. Familiar heat started to creep up to Y/N's cheeks.
"What the hell is this?" Susie held something. Averting her attention,Susie was holding an unpleasant rather that didn't look comfortable at all. "Who would leave junk like this around?" Susie huffed as she placed the rather back in a chest where she most likely found it. "There's a building up ahead," Ralsei notified the team. Hurrying over, a poster of Queen was on the side of the building. Perhaps she's around here. Kris nodded towards the group, who all nodded back, and went inside. It was pitch black inside. Y/N bumped into something, and she could hear the others grunting as they bumped it stepped on some items too. "Hey, what the hell are these things?" Susie called out. Before Y/N could answer, a quiet gasp sounded behind her and a weight pushed her to the ground. It was so dark to see, but from the closeness, she could make out that it was Kris. Kris immediately got off her and Y/N scrambled up quickly. Butterflies fluttered in her chest as she felt best creap up on her cheeks. "Sorry..," Kris mumbled apologeticly. "I-It's okay," Y/N murmured. As Y/N brushed off that awkward moment and continued onward, she was able to see more clearly now. "Hey, what the hell are these things?" Susie asked loudly. She seemed to be looking at a group if carts? It was hard to tell. "Hmm.. looks like if we ride them they might bring us to the Fountain!" Ramlsei exclaimed. "Yeah probably," Y/N agreed. "Really?!" Susie responded back with hope. "Then let's get on!!" Susie puffed with exhilaration.
The 4 heroes got on the carts. And once they did, they took off on seperate tracks heading the same direction. Light now approached them and it almost blinded Y/N to be out if the darkness. Which was confusing since this Dark World had a constant black sky. Y/N noticed the patterns of their carts. Kris's coaster had a face of them, with trailing hearts in the side. Susie's pink coaster had a grinning.. dinosaur? With flames on the side if it. Ralsei's coaster was adorable as it could get. Showing a friendly smile of himself with stubby legs. Y/N's on the other hand had her face on it too, as weird as it was, with trailing hearts on the side too. 'Wait, when and who made these coasters that look almost look like us when we have never been here??' Y/N suddenly pondered. She was pretty sure that was a mystery that would be unsolvable.
As the ride continued, the Cyber City followed, the Fountain flowing in the distance. Then, a blue hue approached them, getting closer and closer. Revealing Queen, sitting on her rocket chair holding a glass filled with the strange green liquid she drinks. "Enough You Foolish Children," Queen said. "I Have Been Merciful To You This Far But Now Is Time For: Your Unwillful Imprisonment (Capture)," Queen added that last part. "Drop the Capturing Capsules!" She signaled. A group of green cages, similar to the one Noelle was trapped in earlier, fell. But they missed the teens entirely. It left everyone staring silently towards Queen. "Err, you missed," Ralsei pointed out. "That Was Not A Miss It Was A Tactical Calibration," Queen said back. Y/N almost lost her balance as the rollercoasters turned left slowly. She almost forgot that she was in a ride. Queen still seemed to follow ahead.
"So, uh, are you gonna try it again?" Susie asked awkwardly. "No I Only Have Like 4 Cages," Queen laughed. "Okay Wait, I Have A Small Plot Twist For You," She smiled evilly. "Come Forward My.. Peon!" Queen beckoned darkly. Y/N widened her eyes to see Noelle brought forth. With her own coaster, that was actually quite nice. She was on Susie's track just ahead if her. The sound of the coasters going faster on the tracks got louder. "U-Um, s-sorry, I just couldn't say no," Noelle gave a guilty smile, looking shy. "Noelle!?" Susie yelled with disbelief. "H-Hi, Susie. Umm, how are you?" Noelle grinned widely as a blush formed. "Umm, okay, I guess?" She frowned, sounding confused. "Your um, roller coaster is, um, I like it!" Noelle spluttered. "Uhh.. yours too?" Susie responded back looking a little emberassed. "Th-Thanks!" Noelle smiled. It was silent now and the air was now tense and awkward. It was real obvious now that Noelle had a crush on Susie just by the look she gave to Susie. But Susie seemed oblivious to this and scratched the back of her neck.
"Okay This Isn't Working Bring In The Next Guy," Queen noticed this and ordered. Before Y/N knew it, a coaster came up from behind Noelle, now sending her flying out of the way. She screamed until they couldn't be heard anymore. Y/N stared with panic but she couldn't do anything with this fast-moving ride.
"Fear not, my beloved Noelle!"
A voice bellowed confidently. A bluebird on a— well a (stupid) bluebird looking—coaster, stood confidently staring defiantly towards the team. "This valiant warrior of great intelligence will be your knight in glow in the dark armor!" He yelled. He didn't even notice that Noelle was gone, off somewhere for who knows where. The bluebird wore futuristic white armor with shoulder guards, bracers, and leg armor, with a flowing orange cape. He wore a..Smart Scouter? It had orange lens and a pointed headset. He laughed at his entrance, and Y/N could hear Kris and Susie groan in annoyance. "Berdly!? You asked BERDLY to be on your team!?" Susie shouted towards Queen. Queen wore a faltered smile.
"I Did Not Ask Him I Did Not Ask Him I Did Not Ask Him." She desperately repeated as Berdly didn't hear her. "That's LORD Berdly to you simpletons," He ordered rudely. Y/N was already starting to not like this guy.
"And soon..SUPER Lord Berdly!" He gazed distantly at his awaited title. "The hell does that mean?" Susie questioned. "I Have No Damn Clue Just Go With It," Queen told the four. "You see, thanks to our WONDEROUS Queen," He motioned towards Queen. Berdly continued. "WE will soon RULE the WORLD!" Berdly had a weird grin. "And turn this Land of Fools into a Smartopia," The arrogant bird smirked.
"A true Scientocracy, where the Geniuses of the world, can bathe freely in pools of fresh fruit and ambrosia," He said dreamily. "No longer held back by protozoans like YOU!" Berdly sneered. Y/N frowned. "And the key to that? Is US. Noelle and I," He explained. "Our power..the 'Light Nerd's' power." Y/N stared at his mistake. "You mean 'Lightners?'" Ralsei corrected.
"Um, NO. Queen said 'Light Nerds, '" Berdly looked confused. Everyone looked at Queen with straight faces. "I Actually Did," Queen laughed at her own joke. Ralsei shook his head. "Berdly, Queen's just manipulating you!" Ralsei informed him with an angry expression. "Heh, that's what she SAID you'd say to me!" Berdly said humorously. "I Actually Did!" Queen laughed again.
"Now, Kris!" Berdly averted his attention towards them. "I must admit, I feel pity for you," he gave a sincere look, but his tone was sarcastic. "Unlike Susie, I always saw some potential in you." Susie growled. "Join our side, and I might let you scrub our royal toilet," He mocked. 'Was he serious? ' Y/N thought to herself, deadpann. She gazed over Kris. Who didn't look too happy to see this bluebird, and looked pretty annoyed. Kris shook their head. "Ah, Kris. I suppose I knew you would never amount to much," He ridiculed, laughing. Y/N narrowed her eyes at the cocky teen. "Well, if you're dead-set on proving your inferiority.."
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a green axe appeared his feathery hands.
"Allow me to assist you!"
