Crystal clear. That was Jilie's memory. She remembered nearly everything except for the less important details...she even remembered what it was like being born. The Four Spiritual Primates all hatched from stone eggs.
But the first face she had ever seen when she hatched was someone just like her. Her big brother.
Zhihui had hopped onto the mountaintop that her little self was just sitting on, having just hatched about an hour ago. Zhihui then heard her cooing and looked.
Jilie began to crawl over, having not left the spot she hatched from. She cooed and made a bunch of sounds as she looked up at Zhihui.
Zhihui's eyes softened and he slowly knelt down, scooping the baby monkey into his arms. "Oh...you must be cold." He whispered as he snuggled her into his robes and fur, just so she could feel warmth. "And dirty too..."
Jilie looked around her before nuzzling into his chest, cooing again as she continued to look up at him with those big red eyes.
Zhihui smiled softly and chuckled, leaning in towards her face. "Hello, little sister. A friend told me of your existence...you haven't been in this world for very long, have you?"
Jilie, due to being a baby, didn't answer and just cuddled up in his arms.
Zhihui chuckled and then nuzzled her. "Well, it'd be poor of me to leave you here. We are family...and I know what it is like to grow up alone before you finally find someone to guide you. I'm not giving you that life. You'll live in my monastery with me."
Jilie patted his cheek, giggling a little.
Zhihui just laughed softly. "Such a curious little one. You must think I'm your father and not your brother, hmm? Well, we don't exactly have parents. We were born from mystic energy."
Jilie blinked, clearly not understanding a single word he said.
"Right. I tend to ramble." Zhihui chuckled before leaving the mountain with his little sister in his arms.
Brother or not, he found her as a baby and raised her. He supported her beliefs, didn't force her to become a monk like him, and was even proud of her for coming out to him about liking girls instead of boys.
And now? She was watching her brother's skin slowly turn to crystal thanks to the demon that held him in the sky.
Jilie SCREAMED at the top of her lungs before lunging at The Crystal King, slashing his arm off and grabbing her brother.
The Crystal King roared in pain as purple, pink, and gold energy sprouted from the stub that was his arm. He was regenerating.
Jilie landed with her big brother in her arms. "Z-Zhi?! ZHI!"
Zhihui didn't respond...his face was then finally covered in crystal. Jilie gasped and then dropped him, not wanting to be crystallized herself. She stood back. "N...no...!"
The Wise Sage then stood up, his skin pink and his eyes silver...but his facial expression wasn't mindless. It was saddened.
Zhihui had always been unstoppable in his mind. The Crystal King may have controlled his body, but his willpower and emotions remained. But it seemed he couldn't speak.
The Crystal King then fully regenerated his arm and roared, raising his hand. Macaque and Wukong ran over as well, growling and roaring.
"BRING HER TO ME..." The Crystal King commanded as he grabbed Zhihui, ready to steal his power.
But then, he was hit in the face with...well, a sword. The sword stabbed his EYE and he roared, dropping Zhihui again as he ripped it out.
That's when Lily, Pigsy, Samurai X, Skylor, and Nya all ran out, still looking very ready to fight.
The Crystal King's eye regenerated and he growled as he roared, breathing out energy towards the heroes.
"HIT THE DIRT!" Pigsy screamed as they all got out of the way.
Jilie then watched Macaque and Wukong charge at her, but she slashed them both away and lunged at The Crystal King, now entirely filled with RAGE.
She slashed The Crystal King across the face and then again and then again. She then thrusted the blade of her sword-staff into his chest, stabbing him. The Crystal King roared in pain, but then blasted Jilie into the air and ripped out the sword-staff, snapping it in half as he flew up towards her.
Jilie spun around while in the air, gritting her teeth as The Crystal King flew up to her. The moment he reached her, she punched one of his fangs out and then headbutted him. And then, she shot out laser beams from her eyes into The Crystal King's face.
The Crystal King roared again, only to incase himself in crystal and begin shapeshifting. Once the crystals shattered, his arms were now a strange shape.
Jilie fired her lasers again, but The Crystal King crossed his arms and formed a literal disc shaped shield, which deflected her lasers back at her. The Crystal King then turned his arms back to normal as he cackled and then smacked her across the face, the impact sending her crashing into the ground.
"PERHAPS I'LL JUST TAKE YOU NOW..." The Crystal King boomed as he grabbed her, about to crystallize her until suddenly, a golden staff hit him across the face.
It was MK. He seemed to have won the fight against The Mechanic and Harumi...or at least fought them long enough for him to get away.
"YOU'RE NOT TAKING ANYONE..." MK snarled, gritting his new fangs and almost showing off his new monkey form.
Jilie's eyes widened as she sat up. "W...what...?"
The Crystal King's were wide as well before growling. "IMPOSSIBLE...THERE'S ONLY SUPPOSED TO BE FOUR..."
MK's eyes widened and he looked at himself. "Uhhh...what?"
"No matter." The Crystal King cackled before lunging at MK and swinging his arms downward, which MK blocked with his staff. The two quickly began to fight, but even with MK's skill and quick thinking, The Crystal King was far too powerful for MK to face alone.
Then, The Crystal King finally blasted The Monkie Kid down. He laughed before seeing everyone else charge at him. He just turned around and blasted all of them.
Wukong and Macaque shifted over to Jilie and grabbed her, already beginning the crystallization. Jilie gasped and tried to escape their grasp...but it was too late. Her skin had turned to crystal much faster than the others.
Zhihui's eyes were wide and he forced himself to look away as his body marched over to The Crystal King alongside Jilie.
The Crystal King laughed as he raised his four hands. "NOW...WITH YOUR POWER AND THE CHILD'S...I WILL BECOME GREATER THAN ANY GOD."
Wukong was about to reach for MK...but MK jabbed his staff into his face and then hopped into the air.
"SORRY, MONKEY KING!" MK exclaimed as he went to all of his friends, gathering them all up. He knew they wouldn't win, so all they could do was retreat and live to fight another day. He started running, using his clones to grab the others as they ran to the monastery.
Then, silver and red energy exploded and shot into the sky. The Crystal King had their powers now.
And then, The Crystal Council suddenly came out, surrounding MK. Harumi and The Mechanic included.
"Where do you think you're going?" The Mechanic asked with a snarl.
MK took out his staff...only for The Ninja to come out and land in front of MK, showing off their Dragon Forms.
"NINJA GO!!!" The Ninja screamed as they all spun around into a giant tornado. The Crystal Council backed away...but Mr. F was sucked in.
The Crystal King roared, his eyes glowing gold, purple, silver, and red. "YOUR POWER WILL BE MINE, CHILD!!!" He said as he lunged towards the Tornado of Creation. But its massive force and power actually slowed him down.
Just barely.
And then, once The Ninja stopped spinning...they all flew into the air after something, with Zane having Mr. F as a prisoner.
Lily's eyes widened. "Did...did they just ditch us?"
But then, all of the heroes were wrapped up in a familiar red ribbon and pulled up into the air and onto a vehicle.
The vehicle already had a few passengers. Sandy, Tang, Wu, Garmadon, Mei, Red Son, and finally Lloyd, who had woken up from his meditation. But he hadn't changed at all. He must have failed to unlock his 'true form'.
And who was piloting the vehicle? Prince Nezha himself.
Nezha didn't make a facial expression. He just made sure they were all on board before zooming off farther into the sky.
Harmui's eyes were wide before looking at her master. "M-my lord! I'm sor-"
"DO NOT BE." The Crystal King laughed as he floated down to his Council. "THEY WILL COME TO US...I KNOW HOW HEROES WORK."
Vangellis then faced him. "What about Mr. F?"
"We'll get him back." Pythor said. "Besssidesss...it'sss not like Echo Zane will tell them anything."
