My name is Holly Potter and I am fifteen years old. My twin brother, Harry, and I just finished our fifth year at Hogwarts. I have been dating a Slytherin by the name of Blaise Zabini. Harry, Ron, and Hermione were skeptical at first because Blaise is in Slytherin. Blaise is not like the other Slytherins. Yeah he is a pureblood but he doesn't care about my half-blood status. Blaise is of Italian origin but looks black. I have fair skin, shoulder length red hair, and hazel eyes. I am not sure how Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia, and Dudley are going to react to me dating a black guy.
I am sitting with Blaise on the train ride back to Kings Cross Station. Draco and Pansy walk into our compartment. Draco says, "I wasn't sure what Blaise was thinking at first. But, I gotta admit Potter that you two look good together." I say, "Draco, call me Holly." Draco nods. Pansy smiles and asks, "What are you doing this summer, Holly?" I say, "My twin and I live with our Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia, and cousin Dudley. Petunia was our mom's sister. Then, I am sure toward the end of the summer we will end up going to the Weasleys." Blaise says, "Ron is just your friend." I nod and say, "Yeah Ron and his brothers are all like brothers to Harry and I. Ginny is like the little sister I never had." Draco nods.
Before I knew it, we were at Kings Cross. Blaise helps me with my bags. We walk holding hands off the platform; and, he kisses me. I hear Uncle Vernon call, "Come on Holly." I nod and say, "Bye, Blaise. See you in September." Blaise says, "Bye, Holly."
Harry and I sit quietly in the back seat of Uncle Vernon's car. Once we were inside the house, Uncle Vernon says, "Petunia and Dudley come in here." They both walk in. Uncle Vernon asks, "Who was that boy you were with, Holly?" I sigh and say, "Uncle Vernon, that is my boyfriend, Blaise Zabini."
Uncle Vernon asks, "Does he treat you right?" My eyes widen and say, "Yes sir he does." Uncle Vernon says, "If he ever mistreats you let me know." I ask, "So you don't care that he is black?" Uncle Vernon says, "No. I don't." Aunt Petunia says, "Your dad had some Greek or Mediterranean don't care if you are in an interracial relationship, Holly."
Harry says, "I was skeptical at first but that is because Blaise is in Slytherin." Dudley asks, "What does that mean?" I say, "When you begin at Hogwarts you are sorted into one of the four houses based on your characteristics. Harry, Ron, Hermione, and I are all in Gryffindor. Blaise is in Slytherin like He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was. Slytherin gets a bad rep; but, they are not all bad." Uncle Vernon asks, "Does he care that your mom's parents weren't magical?" I say, "No. Blaise said that he could care less. His mom is the same way." Dudley asks, "Do you have a picture of Blaise?" I nod and show Dudley a picture of him.
Aunt Petunia looks over my shoulder and says, "You should invite him to come over sometime this summer. I want us to meet him." I nod and say, "I will." Needless to say, I am glad that my family approves of my relationship with Blaise Zabini.
