It is Friday , and the time is beyond midnight so officially Saturday when Kartik walked into their apartment. To his shock he saw the kitchen lights on and tiptoed to the kitchen to find Naira helping herself to a raspberry pastry while she sat on the kitchen counter. She wearing his oversized shirt over her maternity wear is what surprises him.
On seeing him she licks her fingers and
Naira: Kartik...this one is too good...send my love to Nisha for getting these
Kartik: Sure jaan...good that your sweet tooth is being fulfilled
Naira: Haan...ab tum wahan kade hokar kya dekh rahe ho? Jaake fresh hojao...mein aajaungi
If he can, Kartik will stand there for the whole time and just watch his fully pregnant wife eating her cake but that will only make her shout at him, he didn't want to waste the few hours that he gets with her in a day. Kartik has been shooting for very long hours so as to finish a schedule before Gayu and Samarth's wedding but now it is weekend and finally he has got the much needed off of two days and he didn't want to ruin that by making her angry.
Minutes later Kartik is tugging his hoodie down when he heard Naira's foot steps.
Naira: Where was this hoodie? I was searching for it the whole evening
Kartik is surprised to hear it and turns towards her
Kartik: Why?
Naira: To wear it
Kartik: Achaa....why do you want to wear mine? Even now I can see you wearing my shirt over your maternity wear
He says with a serious tone like he is upset with it and as is just noticed it hiding the fact that it was one of the first things that caught his attention as soon as he saw her
Naira: Woh....Im feeling too cold...this maternity wear is too airy and my sweatshirts and hoodies dont fit me.
Kartik isn't able to prolong his angry face act for long as he finds it very hard to not admire how cute his wife is in his shirt and her baby bump
Kartik in mind: Baap re Kartik...dont say that you find her cute, if you do so the Great Mahabharat war will happen again right here ...so please control ...control
Kartik: So what lets buy you some new sweatshirts..why do you want to wear mine? Yeh men's wear haina ....why do you compromise on that..Ill take you shopping tomorrow and get you new ones
Naira: Chup...itna bad bad kyu kar rahe ho? Stay silent and let me finish
Kartik grows silent and she holds the shirt in her hands and
Naira: Woh Kartik...actually.......yeh shirt.....
Kartik raises his eyebrows as if asking her what
Naira: Kuch nahi.....Ill wear whatever I like to...sirf shirt hi toh pehen rahi hoon na iss mein itna argue karne ki kya zarurat hai?
Kartik gets closer and holds her by the shirt collars
Kartik: Bas? Aur koi reason nahi hai? For you to wear my shirt?
With Kartik's intense stare Naira's heartbeat raises and she turns red from head to toe
Naira: Woh actually.....
Kartik: Actually?
Naira: Me and our daughter are missing you so much thats why I wore this shirt to feel you around me every minute . Ab kush ho na tum?
She pushes his hands away and walks away. Kartik blushes and grins at this confession and he antics. He walks to her who is lying down and sits on her head side
Kartik: I knew it the moment I saw you in my shirt but I wanted you to confess. Its actually good to hear from the one you love that they miss you and want to feel you around them everytime
Naira: Tum bohot dusht ho...jab pata tha ki mein tumhe miss kar rahi hoon itna bolne ki kya zarurat thi?
Kartik bends over and kisses her forehead
Kartik: Im sorry...Im just working for long hours to wrap the shooting and to be with you at the most needed moment
Naira: I can understand all that but still I can't help to not to miss you. As the days march forward my fears about the pain and these hormones make days worse. At those moments its your embrace is what I need thats when your shirt makes up for your absence
Kartik: Jaan I was just kidding about the shirt...sirf ek shirt kyun? Pura wardrobe tumhari hi toh hai...wear whatever you want
Naira: The next two days are your off days right?
Kartik: Haan..and tomorrow I have a surprise for you?
Naira: Whats that?
Kartik: Shsh..kaha na surprise...now sleep...so that you will be fresh tomorrow
He pulls her to his lap and puts her to sleep

Next morning Naira and Kartik are in their car. With Kartik driving Naira is watching her hero
Kartik: Naira ghoorna band karo..mera dyan bat raha hai
Naira: Tum mujhe kyun dekh rahe ho? Road pe dyan do
Kartik: When you are watching me Im not able to concentrate on the road. Please look elsewhere
Naira: Thats not fair Kartik...mera maal hai mein toh dekhungi
Kartik chuckles and his hand reaches out for hers. He takes her hand and kisses
Kartik: I love you
Naira: Where are we going now?
Kartik: This is not just fair...I said I love you and this is what you will say in return?
Naira: I love you too mendak...but now my curiosity is getting the better of me
Kartik: Patience my dear....
Just then Kartik's phone rings and its Ruhi
Kartik: Ruhi...
Ruhi: Kartik I have coordinated with the photographer and the costumer. All costumes are as per Naira's comfort
Kartik: Thanks yaar and sorry for troubling you.
Ruhi: No no Kartik after what happened, this one week of being busy has helped me a lot
Kartik: Thats good...tell everyone at home that I asked about them. Ill talk to you later
As the call ends Kartik also stops the car.
Kartik: Jaan we have reached the spot
He gets out and helps her. As Kartik helps her way into the venue Naira is surprised to see it decorated
Naira: Whats this place?
Kartik: Do you remember Naksh and Keerthi surprising us with a post wedding photoshoot in Greece?
Naira: Haan...
Kartik: Now its my turn to surprise you with a pregnancy photoshoot
Naira gets excited on hearing it
Naira: Sach mein? Kartik thats so awesome. How did you think of it?
Kartik: Jaan...Its Nisha who suggested this idea..but only suggestion of this idea was by her, I planned everything for you ....
Naira kisses Kartik
Naira: Whoever might have given the idea...Its your efforts that matter
Just then the photographer comes to them
Photographer: Hi sir Im Liza
Kartik: Hi Liza..everything set?
Liza: Yes sir..Ruhi mam also checked everything
Naira: Ruhi?
Kartik: As I was busy it was Ruhi who selected the costumes as per my ideas and coordinated with Liza.
Naira: That was what which was brewing between Jija and Saali? Now I get it
Liza: Sir first shall we proceed with the traditional set up?
Kartik: Sure...
Naira: Traditional?
Liza: Yes mam it is themed like a traditional godh bharai
Naira: Par godh bharai photos are out in the mdeia
Liza: Haan mam , Ruhi mam sent me all the photos of the godh bharai and we have planned this photoshoot godh bharai in all ways different from it. The theme of photoshoot is celebrating pregnancy so godh bharai theme is inevitable
Naira: I get it now...
Liza: Please come with me mam...make up artists will help you get ready. Sir Micheal will take you and give your costumes..Micheal...micheal
Micheal rushes there and takes Kartik with him while Liza takes Naira with her

Naira is dressed in a beautiful pink dress and her make up is done in a way to compliment the her dress. Still she is sceptical on how she looked. Thats when Kartik walks in and is mesmerised on the first look despite Naira being so doubtful
Naira: Kartik mein teek toh lag rahi hoon na?
Kartik doesn't reply anything. He just takes a deep breath and does hayeee with his hand on his chest
Naira got her answer just by this one gesture. She blushes which adds to her already vibrant beauty. Kartik comes closer and hugs her from the side
Naira: Thank you for this surprise Kartik
Kartik breaks the hug and stares at her
Kartik: When did you start thanking me for all these things?
Naira: Nahi Kartik....sometimes I feel jealous of myself how can one get such a great husband who never forgets to surprise despite being busy in his career
Kartik: The career the money the fame everything is nothing without you jaan. You are my everything. There is no Kartik without his Naira so Kartik's first priority is his Naira.
He leans forward and kisses her
Naira: Chalein? They will be waiting
When she is about to turn Kartik stops her from behind by holding her shoulders
Kartik: Let me have a complete look before anyone else see my beautiful wife
He steps behind and looks at her image in the mirror. Kartik feels his heart pound against his chest wall
Naira: Shall I turn so that you can see me without the mirror?
She is surprised as she is hugged again, this time she feels his breath down her neck and gets goosebumps.
Kartik: As far as I remember you have been beautiful all life but this pregnancy glow is doing something to you jaan...it makes you glow like the moon and makes my existence difficult.
Naira: Baby ....last time our family surprised us with a godh Bharai at the most unexpected time now your papa has surprised us with this photoshoot isn't he the sweetest dad?
Kartik: Having the sweetest wife and baby I cant help being sweet. Lets go
She turns around and Kartik suddenly remembers something
Kartik: One last thing...
He takes a small dip in the kajal and places a small dot behind Naira's ear
Kartik: Thu thu thu..if Dadi was hear she would have done...now I am doing it in her place. May no eyes affect you
Kartik and Naira walk out for the photoshoot and the shoot goes in a great way. Liza and Micheal capture pictures in all possible ways.
After the traditional theme gets over Liza gest to them
Liza: Kartik sir..mam..this came out so well ...next is mam's solo shoot...refresh yourself and tell us whenever you are ready
With Liza walking away. Kartik and Naira walk to the dressing roomto rest. After half an hour of rest Naira is all ready to get ready for the next one
Kartik: Shall I help you jaan?
Naira: Ji nahi...you wait downstairs Ill come after getting ready
Time passes by and Kartik is pacing here and there not knowing anything else to do. Thats when he hears the footsteps and turns to find Naira walking down dressed in a beautiful white gown while one of Liza's assistants helped her.
Kartik feels his stomach doing somersaults as his eyes aren't able to move away from Naira.
Kartik in mind: I always call her to be my Moon and here she is looking exactly like my moon
Naira and the assistant dont stop by Kartik but keep walking towards the shoot setup.
Kartik: Someone get me an oxygen mask ...I guess my breathing will stop any moment
Hearing this Naira turns around to see him watching her without blinking.
Kartik gestures that she is looking gorgeous while the assistants on the set rush to Kartik regarding what he said seconds ago
Assistant: Sir...anything wrong? You asked for an oxygen mask?
Kartik: Woh....I was saying that my wife is looking so great that Ill need an oxygen mask..you guys continue your work
The guys scatter away and the shoot proceeds. Meanwhile Kartik hears a few girls whispering
Girl 1: He is more romantic in real life than on screen
Girl 2: He is very romantic with his wife..dont you know this from beginning? They even danced in an award show and it was the first time a non actress wife of an actor performed on stage
Girl 1 : I thought all that PDA was an act or just repetition of this kiss lucky charm but now its proven wrong. He indeed loves her a lot. May this cute couple be happy always
Girl 2 : Yeah...may this child bring in new shades of love in their life
Kartik smiles to himself on hearing this.

Liza : Sir mam...shall we post a few casual pictures in social media as we have planned to release the other pictures later
Kartik: Sure....
