Elizabeth soared through the grey clouds, her heart still pumping from the scene she'd just left. The red energy that glowed within her hands pushed her faster as she tried hard to concentrate on her thoughts. Her thoughts filled with confusion, shock, sadness, fear.

The many mixed emotions seemed to lead her somewhere she needed to be. Somewhere her subconscious somehow had brought her to. She lowered herself onto the dark grey balcony staring at her reflection of the glass French doors. Glancing at the cuts and scrapes that still bled along her body, she used her abilities to heal them just enough to where they were no longer open wounds. No blood in sight.

Her fingertips reached for the matte black handle of the tall doors before she stopped herself feeling the fear take over again. She let out a sigh and pulled her hand back with eyes shut and spun on her heels to prepare herself to flee the home she was debating entering.

"Elizabeth, don't go," The velvet voice she'd recognize in a heartbeat spoke from behind her.

She froze in her tracks still facing the other way as her heart skipped a beat at his voice calling her name. The girl turned to reveal the faint light of dusk hitting the perfectly sculpted face of his. His golden eyes that held worry, relief, hopefulness.

He of coursed peered into her green eyes feeling himself come alive again. Just the sight of her washing his worry away, relief overcoming him now. He reached his hand out to her desperate to feel her touch again.

Before she could even think about it, Elizabeth ignored Edward's outstretched arm and hurriedly embraced him into her arms. Edward was taken back by this, but only for a second as he wrapped his arms around her small frame holding her close.

A breath escaped Elizabeth's lips she hadn't realized she'd been holding. He took in her scent feeling the comfort of it surround him. He worried he held her too tight with his strength and loosened his arms but kept them around her. This only made Elizabeth tighten her own arms around him even more.

"You have no idea how worried I've been," Edward whispered to her with his eyes closed as they held each other.

Elizabeth only buried her face into his chest in response, breathing in his scent herself. The smallest of shivers went through her as the night time air had begun to surround them.

"Here come inside," Edward led them into his bedroom, closing the glass doors behind them. Finally looking up from their embrace Elizabeth noticed the large king size bed that now took over the majority of Edward's room.

She furrowed her brows in confusion taking a few steps closer to it. "I thought you didn't sleep?" She raised an eyebrow at him which only caused a small smile to begin to appear on his face.

"I was hoping you wouldn't mind spending some nights here with me," He looked to her with hopeful eyes. "Alice, of course picked out the bed for you,"

Elizabeth looked back at the white duvet, beneath it were dark grey silk sheets also covering the perfectly rounded untouched pillows. Much nicer than the small bed Elizabeth had gotten used to at her apartment.

"The love seat would have sufficed, you didn't have to go through this trouble," Elizabeth spoke.

Edward shook his head, "No, believe me Alice was more than happy to have an excuse to go shopping," He smiled stepping closer to her.

Edward brought his hand to her cheek tracing his fingertips along the marks the cuts had left on her face, his lips now turning to a frown. "I don't suppose this was just a clumsy accident of yours,"  He asked.

She let out a slight laugh before shaking her head. "Would you think I'm crazy if I said some wolves caused it?"

Her eyes met with his to reveal his expression to go from concern to anger, "What?" He asked with his brows furrowed.

She noticed his change of emotion, "It's a long story I guess," She sighed looking down.

He lifted her chin with his fingertips, "Tell me," He asked softly but still seeming very frustrated.

She met his eyes again, "Maybe it would be easier if I just showed you," Elizabeth brought her hand between them creating a small light of her red psionic energy before hovering it in front of his forehead and sending the red mist through his mind.

The attacks replayed in her mind for him to see, the flashes of the large fangs of the wolves, the growls that screeched in her ears, their force of them knocking her to the ground. The way she used her abilities against them feeling herself become stronger. All ending with a voice calling her name. Calling her name with a nickname only her brother would call her. 'Liz?!' the long dark haired boy's voice echoed.

Elizabeth dropped her hand, the red glow in her eyes fading away as she looked to his searching for any sign of emotion or recognition.

"The shapeshifters?" He asked looking wide eyed to her.

Elizabeth slowly nodded, "I didn't know what they were I barely had known who they were," She looked down, "I met Seth just the other day, I thought I had made a new friend, he'd shown me a lot of new things I'd never done before," she smiled sadly.

"Elizabeth, I'm so sorry but you have to stay away from them," He looked at her gently grabbing ahold of her arms. "They're very dangerous, they have no control over their temper just being in their company is reckless enough,"

Elizabeth couldn't help but feel a bit sad. Sad over losing what she thought was a new friend of hers. He brought her a type of happiness that reminded her of being young again. Having little to no cares in the world, just living days to their fullest.

"What do you know about them?" She couldn't help but ask as she looked up at him.

"Many years back they made a treaty with us, if we promised to stay off Quileute lands, they'd keep their peace with us," Edward explained.

Elizabeth only nodded looking to the ground again. Edward gently pulled her closer again into his arms. "Elizabeth I'm truly sorry. Your safety matters most to me, and with all that's going on the last thing we need is the dangers of the wolves," He rested his chin on her head and stroked a hand through her hair as he spoke.

"It's okay," She whispered into his chest letting her mind wander a bit.

The two slowly pulled apart, Edward still holding her hands in his. "So I take it you'll be staying with me tonight?" He asked again hopeful.

Elizabeth couldn't help but smile, "As long as the offer still stands," She stayed close to him.

"Always,"

Their eyes never left each others as they stared adoringly into one another's. In that moment she saw nothing else, nothing but the exquisite features that belonged to the boy in front of her. Although her eyes began to grow a bit heavy due to exhaustion, she found them tracing their way down to his lips.

Edward brought his hand to her cheek for a moment brushing his thumb softly across it. "You should get some rest," He looked into her tired eyes.

She nodded before turning to remove her jacket and boots which Edward swiftly took and set aside for her and pulling back the covers for her to slide under. Elizabeth sunk into the bed pulling the covers over herself feeling the soft mattress completely relax her body.

He took a few steps towards his bedroom door as he spoke, "Don't hesitate to let me know if you need anything," He sent her a soft smile.

She turned to her side facing him still under the covers, "You're not staying?" She asked unable to hide the sadness in her eyes.

Edward couldn't help feel the guilt after seeing her almost pouting expression. "Only if you want me to," He spoke.

"Always," She mimicked him causing a smile to form on his face.

She pulled the covers back wanting him to join her, he laid gently beside her before she rested her head on his chest. He brought his arm around her holding her as close as he could while he watched her nestle herself up to him.

Edward gradually ran a hand up and down her arm, soothing her as she soon fell asleep in his arms. He looked to the ceiling carefully listening to her soft breathing. He then had sung more so in a whisper.

"Hold me close and hold me fast, the magic spell you cast, this is la vie en rose...."
